KINDERDIJK BIKING | CYCLING IN THE NETHERLANDS | WATERBUS TO SEE THE WINDMILLS

Kinderdijk is a UNESCO site with 19 windmills and can be reached by Waterbus Route 21 from Rotterdam Erasmus Bridge Terminal. You can bring your bikes on the ferry free of charge. This is an easy relaxing trip that can be done from Rotterdam by ferry with your bike.

Okay we’re just at the ferry terminal to kinder it will leave at 10 a.m. so I literally had to bike like crazy my is still being F so just go down there and it says they’re on the sign in 12 minutes I got a bit of time

Left so I’m guessing from the map so that is the arasmus bridge where we are at and he’s going to go here and I think off the map to get to kinder so it’s route number 21 just have the shadow my head so again route number

21 is going to go off the map to get to kinder so it says 11 minutes and just some additional information so you can bring your bike free of charge and you can only buy tickets online there is no cash purchase or machine to buy tickets you

Have to either use the phone app or the websites I have a print out and a screenshot on my phone again it shows you the root from here so it will go from arasmus where we are and Route 21 goes to Kinder and again if you want a map version so it

Comes here from arasmus to kinder and there’s the schedule as well Route 21 it’s all online I think it’s reversing in and the whole pontoon is rocking Now watching everything so there’s my my ticket I purchased and we’re going to board now okay so I guess I just leave my bike there they’re saying no food or drink you have to finish everything anyway should be Safe then you’re already Okay so the turnaround is literally about 5 minutes so I came on the 10:00 a.m. which gets here we’ll leave at 10:50 so the next one is 12:30 so I’ve got about an hour and 40 minutes round time which on a bike is more than

Enough there’s a little farm right there at the terminal okay so we go that’s the ferry terminal we go down here I believe okay let’s figure out the route so that’s the water bus this I believe I didn’t know we had to buy a ticket to

Come in so I guess I go down this middle one and then I can come down that side one so it’s very crowded and I think you don’t need a ticket I think the ticket is to go inside the windmills which I’m not going to Do okay this is not a tour to front circuit so I just have to wrap up again because it is quite cool with the mist and everything and if you don’t have a bike this is a very long walk but it can be done on foot cuz then you have more time

To slowly explore and take pictures and stuff and take it in cuz by bike you’re kind of going a bit quicker so I believe I’m at the end now so it just becomes a Long Trail so I’ll have to turn around to get back to the Windmills lots of families out biking they have older kids there’s a lot of younger kids here so I’m going to turn around that’s the end of the windmills I mean just stuck here so again it’s very Scenic and relaxing but that’s the end of the windmill so it goes on forever I

Guess but I’m just going to head back to the windmills okay so I think I went all the way to the end and so I turned around I’ve come back and now I’m by this bridge here so there’ll be a windmill here that’s a museum that I can’t go in cuz I didn’t

Get a ticket and then oh no I can’t go here here so I have to come back down to here then here I can cross let’s play so this is true Farmland now so this is what you needed the ticket for to go inside the windmills but I’m not

That bothered so there’s Ric traditional Farmland there so these are what the dikes are someone’s taking pictures from the boat or are they fishing They’re just grazing on the the floating Farms that they have yeah yeah okay so that’s the museum that you have to buy a ticket for I believe you can still buy a ticket here and I literally have an hour to kill now before the fairies so the fairy time’s

Kind of slow I guess if you’re on foot you need the more time but that’s essentially it so I have an hour to kill [Applause] now just have another half hour to kill wait from so that is not my fair there’s different fairies that come here so you

Have to wait for the water bus ferry so you’re at the rout 21 water bus okay so we’re back on the ferry Again we just made it back and there very thick fog now so I actually made it in um good weather so it’s not raining is this very thick fog so that’s the end of this video then and now I’m taking the metro to the ha so there will be another video for that
