The most horrific crash in cycling. Dylan Groenewegen and Fabio Jakobsen are sprinting for the victory, when Dylan Groenewegen deviates from his line and Fabio Jakobsen end in to the barriers, smashing into the public at nearly 80kilometers per hour. Fabio Jakobsen (23) was brought to the hospital, where he fought for his life. He had suffered broken bones in his face and lost all teeth. Dylan Groenewegen was suspended for 9 months for his action.
Spectators described is as a horrible and terrific scene to see.
