    Improve in spite of being faced with the uncertainties brexit and the pandemic presented has been no mean feat this has only been possible with the support of our partners and supporters our 2023 race program includes the British cycling Elite Road Series and the British cycling under 23 national

    Series our European program kicks off with a UCI under 23 race in Germany followed by stage races in Ireland France and Italy this year should offer plenty of opportunities for our Riders to get some impressive results and develop with the European racing we have three new riders for

    2023 Taylor Hill Max Kinski and James Wordsworth 20-year-old Taylor Hill was given a trial place on the team last August with a view to gaining his place on the team for this year Taylor Made a great impression and will be a valuable member of the team through 2023 19-year-old Max krinski is a

    Talented seconde under 23 Rider and we look forward to seeing him develop in our team environment 20-year-old James woodsworth is another talented Rider looking to improve and take advantage of the opportunities the team offers the physiological test testing we have done in the lab here at the awrc shows James

    Has a big engine and he’s definitely going to make some legs hurt this year at 25 years old James McCay is relatively speaking our oldest and most experienced rider James won numerous races last year and we’re convinced he will have some big results this year 21-year-old Joe is looking to

    Build on another successful International cycle cross season through the winter and build on his experience from last year to realize his potential on the road 19-year-old James Harley made great progress last year with some solid results and gained great experience we think 2023 will be a big year for

    James 20-year-old George wood had a very successful 2022 and we are sure George’s development will continue through 2023 this will give him solid foundations to help with the plan planned move to a French team in 2024 19-year-old James Hawkins had a tough 2022 due to a bumpy start with

    Illness followed by a season ruining injury this was a challenge for such a young Rider but James stayed focused and post injury worked very hard over the winter to prepare for this season his testing here in the labs shows great Improvement and he’s chomping at the bit to start

    Racing as you are aware cycling Sheffield works hard to promote what Sheffield has to offer and continues to support numerous projects initiatives and Charities within the Sheffield City region launched in 2022 we will be running the root to Peak sportif again this year raising funds for the Children’s

    Hospital our support for Sheffield youth CC continues at the forge Valley Cycle circuit delivering coaching sessions sycc was formed in 2021 after conversations with British cycling around improving the coaching provision for Young Riders in Sheffield I was asked to be Club chairman but the real work is done by various coaches and Brilliant

    Parents sycc provides a starting point on the pathway towards a racing career and we hope to see Riders progress onto the cycling Sheffield in the future
