In this daily cycling Vlog I resume the Europe cycling story in part two. We ride three life-changing, epic bucket list style rides in three days. From one of the greatest Gravel ride‘s that I’ve ever done to a tunnel of death through a dam. I also give my thoughts on how this France!!!! trip changed my outlook on life. Cycling in Switzerland absolutely rips!

These videos are daily vlogs of my everyday life. Training, family, work, diet, and stories from the past year. Daily vlogs are not for everybody, and thats ok, Ive made tons of long form, theater quality films you can watch for free. WHY TRAIN IN DECEMBER?
Because my year is PACKED beyond belief. I need to be fit all year long so my build starts in December and leads me through October.

WHATS THE GOAL OF DAILY VLOGGING?
I want to push myself in something off the bike, I feel like ive gotten lazy and I need to work harder. So i will shoot, edit, and work EVERYDAY this month. I hope you follow along.

HOW DOES THIS IMPACT THE FAMILY?
I spend quality time with both my kids and wife all year. My relationship with my son is BOOMING, my daughter and I are best budds, I will show as much of the family interaction as possible, but just because I dont film it, doesn’t mean Im not present.

IS THIS HOW MY LIFE ALWAYS IS?
No, Im a family man first, and put a lot of time and energy into my family. I will show as much of that as possible in these vlogs, but just because its not on film, doesn’t mean im not with them a ton.

YOU ARE GONNA BURN OUT (Says the haters).

    1. I live in Switzerland and I agree that the mountain riding is great. However, since I'm terrible at climbing hills, the only place in Switzerland where I can keep up with people is at the Velodrome Suisse in Grenchen.

    2. Switzerland is probably one of the very few places that that can amaze someone who is litterally living inside Yosemity national park, one of the sickest places on earth.

    3. Glad you enjoyeed the chance to yeet yourself off a mountain 🙂
Unfortunately, some unsuspecting visitors (not just americans) actually do… but I still prefer it this way.

    4. How was finding food at the cafes along the way? I’m a vegan bike touring through Europe and wondering how easy it is to find vegan food along these routes

    5. I try to figure out where was the tunnel "de la muerte" you had to ride under a dam… Maybe it was at the Lac de Mauvoisin. Or under the Vieux Emosson dam…
I live in Strasbourg, not the same area, but I know quite well the massif which is just in front the place you were, on the other side of the Rhône, and that we see very well on your shootings. I sometimes go hiking at altitude there, or running on trails. But I ride a bike now, and you gave me some ideas ; your video is inspiring.
      Thanks.
By the way, I once had a journey with my fam that took me through Visalia, Three Rivers, Grant Grove Village… So I can easily imagine your own environment. And it is wonderful.
By the way #2 : yesterday I rode with Phillip Gaimon… on my home-trainer (a workout that he's created for the system I use). So, we have the same friends
      😃

hello! big big fan. is there any chance to have the routes? (plural since I am also thinking of the Pirineus ride). I would very much appreciate. Thanks!

    7. Dude, I know you're not lying about the family feelings. I have 4 kids now, 8 yo to 1 yo. In January 2022 my wife and I got to go on a 10 day trip to Hawai'i, our first trip with no kids. We're runners, so did a 6 hour race at a winery, explored various trail systems, see the volcanoes multiple times, and, I hiked Mauna Kea. We got to check out a ton of vegan places, go whale watching, really do anything we wanted with no care about what time it might be or what was to come next. The freedom was so foreign to us. Still, as time marched on, we started wanting nothing more than to have our kids with us to share the experience. I didn't feel the need to go home, just to transport my kids to me. We take a lot of trips with the kids and they're often not the most relaxing vacations because you're always on and need to care for the family…but I also wouldn't have it any other way.

    8. 16:07 is the "Mauvoisin" dam in Val de Bagnes. Great place to hike (or ride…). The sound of the waterfall inside the tunnel is crazy. Was there completely alone, a few years ago, & I still clearly remember how I felt while walking inside this tunnel and when I saw what's after it…
