My clutch was too heavy! Fixed! Scorpa / Sherco trials bikes.

I was struggling to pull the clutch on my 2017 scopa trials bike so I needed a lighter clutch pull, I fixed the problem by replacing the clutch spring and pre charge washer. This also works on sherco trials bikes.
I bought the parts from AG bikes (UK), links below…
    Clutch diaphragm spring B/7786
    Sherco Clutch Diaphragm Spring
    Pre charge washer B/8267
    Sherco Pre Charge Washer 2.0

Hey everyone I got a new bike last week this scorper 125 and I I’m not getting along with it because I can’t pull the clutch because it’s too hard so I did a bit of research and if I change these two parts this should make it much

Easier so I’m going to change today this diaphram spring and this preload washer in my [Applause] clutch so this bike is scot1 12527 and today I’m going to fit this diaphragm spring and this preload washer from the 2019 and it’s the same for score patter and shos 125s 250s and

300s I will put the links for the PS into the description so you can buy them yourself and make your clut easier yourself so the parts I’m changing are in here so I first need to lay the bag down so turn off the fuel and take off the brake lever let’s go

You want to put all your bolts somewhere clean and safe like a hero box here you go one now I’m going to have to um lay it down I got the bike lied down and I’m going to take the clutch cover off one of these bolts will be shorter so just

Remember when you putting back in which one is right so the shter bolt is right behind the brake cleav the bottom left there’s going to be an O-ring behind the clutch cover so make sure you don’t drop it it’s in stayed in but it doesn’t always

Now I’m going to take the 10 screws off with T20 and I’m going to do it Opposite like a start pattern so I’m going to loosen all the screws and then take it off to take the tension of the spring oh be careful are these screws so you don’t drop them like

Me oh oh be careful so you don’t drop them screws like me here you go couldn’t use the magnet it’s Famous I got all the screws out now I’m taking the retaining ring out and underneath you you can see the diaphragm spring and and here we have them the little pre-charge washer we’re just going to have to take this off and change it right so we’ll be changing the spring

You can see the difference so the existing one hang on you see it the existing ones on the left is thicker and I’m changing it to a thinner one the difference is that one’s 1.6 mil this one’s about a mil and that makes the clutch lighter and to because

It’s thinner I need to fill up the Gap so that’s what the Rings for so it’s the the washer so the existing one is about 1 mil thi thick and the new one’s 2 mil see the difference right so I changed the preload washer now I’m going to put it back together

Make sure you put it the right way in uh with the ring up like this then need my retaining ring like that and put my screws back in that’s talked up to 7 newm now we make sure that these faces are clean and if the old keep falling falling out then you

Can just put a bit of grease on it so I’m just going to put it back together like this short one here like That right cover’s back on now while I have the bra brake Cav out I’ve just give it a bit of a clean so a bit of brake cleaner and greased it up that goes in like that and I’m just going to push it back

On and we we good to go first ride out of my new bike let’s see if that clutch works and if it’s like There so I’ve just done a day riding in h to lunch and I really like it the clutch is uh quite quite a lot lighter and I can ride it a bit better so if you want to do yours I’ll put uh links in the description thanks for watching bye-bye
