Get June 99th gorgeous day feels great to be able to just get ready slowly I’ve only got to go downhill 63k down to V piano Vilan so it’s just a cruisy relaxed day this is a beautiful area in the sunshine it’s blue spy nearly all the
Way around it’s going to be a nice day I Me Well this is Magic Blue Sky downhill all day I can relax I know where I’m Camping Wo W [Applause] Well it’s definitely warmer down here back down to 368 elevation all right got the groceries done and I’m only 2 minutes from campsite all right June 11th and ready to roll heading up to Rio de postera I think it is but just before that there’s
A campground got to go up about 500 M elevation I think I end up catching the bus into town I was talking to the owner of the campground and he said yeah don’t take your bike to Bano bikes go missing in Bano and it was turns out to be really
Easy it was of bus stop 50 m down from the campground yeah got some Nicks 56 and then $20 €20 for socks so been of an expensive mistake leaving my shorts and socks at that last Campground but I’d rather buy that than ride up 600 M elevation 63k
Again and I think the rest day would did me good after doing the stelvio pass so feeling good feeling fresh everything’s washed everything’s clean I’m fresh ready to keep rolling on this massive Adventure it’s supposed to get pretty warm today in volano top of 29 it’s very mild overnight 17 but it’s going to be 13 or 12 or 13° tonight where I’m camping it’s about 800 M elevation this is only about 200 so it’s going to get a bit cooler which is Good the cycle way through the ELP is just unre real I’ve been on cycleway 90% of the time since bologna 100% of the time since Lake G it’s just Unre my first big cycleway tunnel oh this this is awesome I suppose this was an old tunnel for either a train or a road and they made it into a cycle way how good is this the cycling in the elps is actually easier than what the Euro Val 7 was from
Rome to sort of Bologna because it’s just all good cycle way there’s no 20% climbs on cobbles 20% climbs on wash out gravel plus it’s cooler up here I would have thought the Alps would have been the hard part of the ride so far they’ve been the easy part except for the
Stelvio that was tough but yeah it’s surprising it’s exactly the opposite of what I thought it would Be It’s been a beautiful sunny morning I’ve noticed that’s the theme probably last week you get uh a bit of rain in the arvo get pad come over the mornings are always so far been Fantastic Sh so on average things have got more expensive up north here but you can still get a cheap cappuccino I only paid $3 this morning in where was I Bano and then I had another stop a couple of hours ago and only paid two €2 for a
Cappuccino it’s a little brro by the side of the river they not drinking coffee thing that’s certainly gone out the window pretty much have a coffee every day now again and and dehydration is not a problem anymore on the way from Rome up to Lake gter it was definitely a factor
But now there’s plenty of water everywhere and there’s it’s not as Hot there’s some great spots along this River there people Sun baking and swimming and it’s little Parks beautiful little spot this is nice I think the town is brone brixen I think I don’t know if that’s how you pronounce it but something like that snack by the river time protein
Bar brixen is a historical town nestled in the dolomites of South troll Italy established by the Romans its medieval core showcases architectural gems like the 10th Century Cathedral of Santa Maria o Santa as an ancient Episcopal seat brixon played a pivotal role in the ecclesiastical history cobblestone streets historic buildings and Alpine
Surrounds cre create a captivating atmosphere preserving the town’s Rich historical Legacy got a little climb right at the end of the day up 112 M and I’ll be pretty much at my campsite I think well I’m here and there’s heaps of room this is great this is fantastic I got my
Own little tree Shady spot nice nice about 65k in about 600 elevation I think easy day it was I just cruised what a lovely pitch I’m all set now I just got to go going and have a shower and pay all right happy hour picnic time I’ve got my chips I’ve got
My pistachios I’ve got my coke I’ve got my ice in a glass it’s game one pretty much doing the same Brew but without the salami got the carrot and the potato boiling up about to put the onion and tomato in soon and then I’ve got these noodles Magi to add to that no
Salami because I shopped first thing this morning and I didn’t want this salami to sit in the bag all day just in case it went bad just in case it was the meat that made me sick the first time I’ll never know but playing it on the safe Side okay rout notes this is actually a pretty easy ride even though it’s 680 M Ascent it’s very gentle as you can see here on the profile on the Garment site it’s a nice gentle Ascent with a little bit of a kick at the end here there is a bit of
Highway noise um but it gets quieter when we go left here right here down towards Brun brono and this campsite was great there’s not a lot of options I don’t think for campsites around here this is camping Vara C and I think it was around
€0 and yeah plenty of room it’s got a restaurant a bar and all your toilet facilities and showers and yeah it was great

hi Steve, another great episode, Sud Tyrol is cycle paradise, campsites are a bit expensive, though. I also love the gingle at the beginning, how did you come up with it?
ciao
Ya dad would've gone back for those nix
That is outrageously beautiful, and my knees appreciate the relative flatness.
Nice one Steve, it's good to have these easier rides in between right?
