Hello and welcome to the dirt shed everybody it’s not the dirt shed show no it’s hacks of bodges it is and the best of 2023 right then and these are our favorite hacks that we’ve picked out from last year and we’re hitting the ground running with this first one we so this is from ole on his Trek and he’s rerooted the Dro a lever yep for his dropper post onto the down tube oh yeah

You understand what sck is but you just yeah as I get older uh this is from Joshua and he made this Sago meter ah and essentially he’s got lots of different bikes from Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania uh across him and his m’ bikes and it’s used this clever little

Sort of etched card that’s very clever to measure with the O-ring the right amount of sag on each one that’s very good yeah yeah I that’s quite a cool that’s a good hack I think very good hack yeah very nice right onwards okay ow next hack this is from Z in Ohio USA

More hacks next up we have where are we this lovely canondale so this is from James he says hi GM I sent this into hacks and bodges when we were in Bentonville you’ve been there I have yes best Trails on the planet I believe that’s what they’re saying um basically

He made a light out of a canell head wanted to mix it up so got polishing the rest of it we got these uh four piece bars nice yeah we’ve got some Forks in there some old rst rst alalas wow back in the day that’s a blast in the past um

And it’s just a cool bit of like on theall and that is all the hacks so now it’s just time for bodges should we crack on with a bodge let’s bodge it bodges well if we got Owen these are the best ones we got some amazing bodges

From 2023 uh this one is from Eric from the Philippines Manila Thriller in Manila he’s used a can of WD40 the top not the actual whole can because that would be the right term yeah whole can would be quite wild actually he’s used it as a wedge yeah

Not up there but in his Fork Crown um really to stop all the mud getting in there that’s a good idea yeah we like that quite I like it that is a bodge I give that yeah so next up we’ve got a fly swatter this is fairly Burly I’m a

Bit scared by it to be honest because what size flies does Brett have they must be massive it’s bird it’s a bird swatter it is a bird swatter actual bird SCE it’s massive it is who sent that one in Brit Brit Brit did yeah good work on

That one to be fair I mean depends on if it’s fixed do you think it’d rotate a little bit Max damaged your wall yeah no all the yeah it’s a hefty bit of kit that in it big flies monstrous big flies do you remember in janji with the big

Mosquitoes be like that well yeah brief segue we did have dragonflies back in like Jurassic or some other period right dragon flies are still a thing no they are but no huge ones that had like a meter wide wingspan you’d need one of these swatters for that one in each hand

You know the other way around so the hook at like this was over here like a one otherwise when you pull it in that’s going to hit the grip maybe that’s like a a break limiter though I mean is that on the break what you can’t break as much this is from

Julian who’s uh riding in Washington so I suspect his break is on the wrong side uh so that’s his is that his front brake or his rear brake front brake there isn’t it for the wrong side so then that’s a designed in limiter maybe novs uh yeah bodge good work on the bodge

What we got next ‘ got Rope Rope oh sorry what is it a it is a rope uh bike rack system so he can hang his bikes this is Jerome uh yeah he can hang his bikes up um it’s quite cool it is quite cool a bit scared by the

At the side of the trail which I think is just um brilliant a good get out I’ve never seen that one before I actually quite like that and he said he found found the Rope just carrying around no no no he found it the side of the trail

So uh yeah I’m trying to think he got to be careful before he made it back kind of long climb to the trail head but he found some rope so that’s that’s hey got him right must have had to W that R really tight yeah and get it at the right

Height for pedal light but it’s good work good work what we got next we’ve now got a fantastic hack uh showing using wood as some spacer blocks so you can like wedge in a quite a large bike I’d say very large you’re not going to get much bigger than that really are you

Fantastic hack from Guatemala which is using a film can as a a little puck to put in your ster tube so you can put TI leaves in there multi-tool looks like the little Shimano bleed pot yeah the little yog pot yeah it’s very Goodell watch I mean film ain’t dead cameraman
