📢¡SUSCRIBETE A WALKING EYE Y NO TE PIERDAS INCREIBLES PASEOS! ✨😍💌

Hello friends! Welcome to the Christmas village of Turckheim! We are in the French Alsace region, which is made up of a series of small Christmas towns. At this time we have had to change the background music due to copyright… It will only be 2 minutes!

In this channel we will take a tour of the most famous towns and this is the second town that we publish. If you want to do the complete route, don’t also miss the video of “Eguisheim” and those to come, and this way you will get to know the famous Christmas of Alsace!

Spread some love by liking this video! ❤ ❤ ❤ Something very positive is that the short length between its villas allows you to move both by car, bicycle and buses that connect all the towns.

Approximately a week is recommended to see all these towns and it is a very fun idea to spend a different Christmas! And believe me, each one of them is different and will leave you speechless! Each town gives you the opportunity to taste Alsatian delicacies.

In the markets they offer famous native recipes such as Alsatian tart, a type of pizza with liquid cream, or Alsatian sauerkraut. It’s hard to choose between so many options! The feeling while we walk through here is like being inside a Disney movie. Have you seen the movie Beauty and the Beast?

These storybook houses could perfectly be the setting for that story! This is a perfect time to subscribe if you haven’t already, so you don’t miss any destinations! Although this region also stands out for another quality, and that is its wines! Hello!

In the surroundings of the towns, we can see beautiful landscapes of fields full of vineyards. And they are usually accompanied by wineries that offer tastings of their exceptional wines. High quality white wines are produced here, mostly dry, which stand out for their varietal purity and aromatic character.

Alsatian wines are versatile and can pair well with a variety of foods. Dry Rieslings are ideal for pairing with seafood and fish, while Gewürztraminers can complement spicy dishes or strong cheeses. Here it tells us that this town is fortified with a wall.

Now we turn into a secondary street to better see the authenticity of the town. This area could be defined as German France, although Alsatians consider themselves only Alsatians, neither French nor German. Currently, Turckheim has a population of 3,759 inhabitants. Although at Christmas time it receives many tourists!

In Alsace, Alsatian is spoken, a German dialect and not French as some may think. On some town signs, you can even see the name of the town in two ways, with its Alsatian dialect. Everything is very old, but at the same time it looks very neat!

If you come by car during these times, it is better to bring snow chains because it usually snows here in winter. If I could, I would enter every house so I could see and learn many interesting things!

The truth is that if you leave the main street, the town is very quiet, you can only hear me walking… In France it is more common for people to live in houses than in blocks of buildings or apartments. I dropped a glove! Thank goodness I realized it!

It is a garment that we find everywhere because it is very easy to lose. This town is very small, with a one-hour walk you have already seen practically everything! We have already visited the entire town completely and we are left wanting more…

It is time to go to our third stop, but this time it will not be a town but a city. Can you imagine what a Christmas city will be like? We’ll find out in the next video! Thanks for joining us! 😊

    1. Holaaa!

    4. if I had to chose one of these little towns to live in, it would be this – a lot less touristic and a more lived-in look, with some more common houses in the back street. Cute little place !

    6. Bon any!!
Wala!!

    7. Lovely town especially so at Christmas it seems – I've only visited in summer. It was a pity the tour turned of the Rue des Vignerons to return to the Grand Rue instead of continuing the full length to see the third Medieval Gateway – Porte Du Brand – with its bridge over the dry moat and stretches of the Medieval wall before making its way back to the starting point. I've yet to see a tour that does include all three Gateways.
