A group of five riders with uh just a few meters off the front we’re rolling along at 75 kilometers an hour oh a huge crash oh that’s a terrible crash the peloton that was going at very high speeds there a lot of riders have crashed some have gone into the ditch

The speed was 75 kilometers an hour at the time an incredible crash it’s happened quite close to the back of the bunch a lot of rides they’re going down the ditch that’s a terrible crash it’ll be very hard to come back from this let’s hope everyone is all right here because that

Is a huge crash at high high speed right down in the ditch at the side of the road i’m hoping that everybody is okay one of them down is tim de clerk i think he was the first rider one of the first riders to crash yeah tim declare may have hit a little

Bit of gravel or something on the roadside oh simon yates doesn’t look good no simon yates is down there are riders having to clamber out of the ditch at the side of the road there was one rider i think who slid on gravel and was lucky to not slam completely into that post

I think it was possibly tim de clark well a rider fell quite close to the front of the group there maybe he just hit the gravel on the side of the road and that’s triggered a series of riders to crash behind and go over the edge the team directors having to pick bikes

Out of the trees here there are riders further on down there’s a jumbo visma rider i think right down in the trees that i’m hoping is okay well they have fallen a long way down that ditch these guys and they need the team personnel to help them back to the road

One of the dsm riders coming up trying to find his bike this is something i the likes i’ve not seen at all team dsm rider and i think this might be sauron craig anderson that’s sauron craig anderson getting some help to get up there now what an awful crash

Well let’s hope everybody’s okay simon yates still sitting there i’m just checking everything simon yates still hasn’t got up he’s sitting but that was a huge crash tim the clerk also i hope he’s okay he’s just trying to find his glasses that are down in the ditch the medics are just checking everyone

Over but simon yates does not look good here i think he’s in a lot of pain asking the doctor for something well that race had been so calm so quiet and suddenly that huge crash now we get more attacks and the race is on so they can ride they won’t wait

  1. Probably half million in bikes smoked! These guys have crashed so many bikes this tour that replacement parts have becomes impossible to find all the way over here in NC, USA!

  2. Let’s listening to you all. 21 stage on highway, speed limited at 50kmh
Oh sorry then you are going to say it’s boring never happy with what you get

  3. I love cycling for that. They are tough guys, they don't pretend to be footballers. They bleed and go. Do not blame the organizers because the next TdF will be at the airport 🙂

  4. After watching these tour riders it's kind of pathetic to see soccer players fake injuries sliding on grass. Pro cyclist wish they could slide along grass.
