Lazy so let’s show you exactly what I’ve got coming up today now Hemingway sent me their Cruiser earlier on in the year and I’ve got to say the Hemingway Cruiser was probably the best bike I’ve tried this year and I busting to get this out of

The box so without further Ado let’s get me knife and release the Hemingway Cobra from its cage now just a quick disclaimer Hemingway did send me this bike free of charge in return that I make this video however they did not pay me to make this video so everything I

Say or do within the contents of this video is completely of my own free will so talking about Free Will let’s release the cobra elas coma look at the size of them tires boxes are really substantial now you’ll notice on here it does say please keep the original packaging for at least

15 days what it doesn’t say is how to open said packaging in my experience this is the easiest way to get these bikes out of a box just simply cut the Box Open there it is now if there are any other ebike companies out there thinking about sending me another ebike don’t think you need to bother this one he’s definitely a keeper the usual box of accessories now just saw out them Jasper the cyclist is just walking past comeing

But it’s a bit fiddly if you have got your own spanners and Len keys I’d highly recommend using them before I put the front wheel on I’m going to take the battery out and put that on charge so it does come with two keys um and we need that to release the

Battery but you don’t need to put the key in to ride it oh my goodness me that is a hefty battery and it is 48 volts and it’s a massive 20 amp hours and those 20 amp hours of power they estimate will give

You an 80 M range on this 80 M can you imagine that I’m going to have to put that to the test and I I really am but I think we’ll do that in another video video and of course Hemingway provide you with a battery charger as

Well yeah it’s quite heavy it’s not it’s no lightweight but it’s liftable but remember I have got the battery taken out of it or remove let’s put it down over here I’m going to leave a spanner for that cuz it bolted on should simply lift off it

Down put on the cboard I think I’m better off standing up to do this oh it’s got a little bell line up the disc luckily it’s got side [Applause] stand what a beast so there you go that’s the hemway Cobra and all its Glory so all I’ve got to do

Now is put some ear in these big fat tires wait for the battery to charge up and then we’ll take it for a spin now before we go out into the bright daylight let’s take a look at the display on this screen there you go I do like the look

Of that we’ve got onoff button here quite simple and then we got our power mode if I press Plus on here it should there you go four five so we’re going to put it in five does have a Thum throttle this throttle should only take us up to

Around about I think 3.5 miles so let’s try the Thum throttle first on full power just to make sure that the Thum throttle doesn’t make us go too fast but this is fun throttle only going along the flat it is quite slow I can barely keep my balance on it

That’s 6 km an hour at the fastest so there you are that’s as fast as you can go the Thum throttle right down so it really is just walk assist I think they call it right now we’re going out onto the open road just start pedaling now

Because it is got a torque sensor on the pedals I can pedal really slowly and the motor doesn’t kick in so as I speed up my pedals I can gently feel the motor kicking in which is really nice you don’t get that sudden surge of power just feels so much

More controllable I actually feel like I’m in control I really like this it’s a completely new experience for me a button there let’s put the suspension on the sofish show it’s quite an uneven load I had the front suspension set quite hard maybe that was a bit of a mistake

It is an absolute pleasure to ride you would not think that this bike was as heavy as it is let’s go sure let’s give it some yeah easy really nice to ride so comfortable as well Hemingway definitely haven’t let me down make sure there’s nothing going

Me so we’re doing a about 25 km an hour as we know here in the UK electric bikes are restricted to 15 M hour if I pedal Harder I mean I guess it’s not about speed is it really it’s about ease of use even though I’m going uphill it feels like I’m on the flat that motor just kicks in every now and again oh you can hear the noise from those tires now we’re going a bit

Quicker I’m literally just coasting down Here yeah those fat tires make a nice humming sound as we go down the TAC but I wonder what they’re like off road Went that corner no problem no problem at all felt really safe secure going around there now I’ve noticed you can hear that rattling in the background I think that’s theand the spring on theand could probably do with being a little bit stronger every time I go over a bu down

Rattles that could be a little bit irritating I if that’s the only thing I can F this bike on then well is happy days proba we got hydraulic bakes on this Cobra so want to get some speed up and then we’ll slam on the Brakes here we go they work it work really good considering the white but is that corner again last time I come around here I was met by a big tractor this time looks like a jaguar look at that look right down for me very kind of it wasn’t

It so I’m coming to a really big hill now um if I keep the constant pressure on the pedals the motor stays engaged as soon as I try and relax and just pedal gently you can hear the motor cutting in and out not sure I don’t know maybe it’s cuz I’m

Lazy I like it and I think it’ll be better for me cuz it’ll give me more exercise when I go out on this and I will be going out on this bike so I think it’ll do me good to go out more riding do more riding and I want to do more Riding but I got to say there’s no way I’d be doing more riding if it were for the fact I’ve got an ebike so I’ve done over six 6 km now it really is unlike any other ebike I’ve ridden because the motor does cut out if you stop

Pedaling on a normal ebike just pretend to ped the motor will keep going which makes it completely effortless but with this you do have to put in a little bit of effort otherwise the motor just cuts out like it would oh it’s a bit noisier now so let’s go

Outside in the past the other ebikes I’ve ridden you kind of get away with ghost pedaling so all the time the pedals are moving the motor carries you along but with the Hemingway Forest Cobra because it’s got a torque sensor you have to actually pedal because it

Works by sensing the pressure that you put on the pedals so as soon as you stop pedaling the motor cuts out forcing you to actually pedal which isn’t a bad thing especially for me because like I said earlier I am a little bit lazy absolutely fantastic definitely an

Improvement well worth the extra money my opin anyway now burning question on my mind is what’s it going to be like Offroad with all that control and to find that out I need to fit this in the back of my vein I don’t think it really matters how

Hard I try there’s no way that the Hemingway Cobra is going to fit inside my tiny little Camp van I do think I’m going to have to rethink this I’ll be right back there you go told you it fit well there you go it’s in just about fits in the van not quite

The conventional manner which you’d fit a bike inside a camper van but there you go it’s in so let’s go to the woods and have some fun this is such fun I could really get into this as a hobby all thanks to Hemingway oh it’s a bit now around here

Try down a gear Oh wrong way that’s up there we go this is epic absolutely fantastic I I’m going over all these ridges all this rough terrain no problem at all and the suspension really is taking out all those bumps I mean yeah sure it’s a bit uneven but um I’m enjoying it

Nonetheless I can really get into this off-road man in biking malaky camera’s taking a bit of a beating absolutely brilliant I’m coming to a bit of a hill now it’s a very narrow path but the brakes are slowing me down the nice thing is they’re not noisy

Either so I’m not disturbing anyone oh it’s a bit of a dip oh wow no problem at all it really is rough Terin absolutely fantastic really eny enjoyed that and I’m not even out of breath well I’m a little bit me heart’s gone a little bit because purely
