I was here in Richmond when we won his first championship. Watching that effort was so inspiring. Peter, you’ve done all lot for the sport and for young fans. Thanks for all your effort!
They are making more difficult know for the sprinters it's no longer fun. I wished Peter won a stage on his last day. He still in my eyes The Best Sprinter! I will always think of him wearing the green 🍏 Jersey!! You're the Best!!! All my Best to you.
Peter Sagan
absolute legend
Prob the only reason I watched cycling for a few years …
Is the drunk ? Or high ?
He definitely will be missed. He made cycling more exciting !!! THANK YOU, PETER !
The legend never forgotten
Sagan's decline has coincided with the rise of a number of exceptionally young seemingly superhuman riders who've mysteriously managed to eclipse him and conquer top level cycling by age 20. It's as if they've been engineered in a lab throughout their adolescence.
When he pinched the podium girl's butt, he became a legend to me!!! Long live Peter Sagan!!!
No matter what still an absolute legend. Let him enjoy the farewell. He can still finish a tour de France and that is an impressive achievement in itself
???? I didn’t really take anything from that interview?
Peter Sagan right it’s a lot different, it seemed 2023 is tour de Jumbo and UAE, is boring game most of us knew what going yo happen? Who will be in podium? Who else? Unless miracle happened ? (Lol)
Salute to Peter Sagan! Cycling isn’t that different and hasn’t changed. He just got older and weaker. Sagan remains one of the legends though. 👍🏼👍🏼
Very cryptic replies. What is Pete not saying?
Can we have more about Sagan instead of that manchild Cav'N'crash. Not since Cipollini can I think of a sprinter with as much personality, skill and all round cyclist.
GET RID OF THE RADIOS
What a legend
Cowards
Sagan spent a considerable amount of time in a relatively clean era of the sport. After watching todays time-trial… I’m thinking the sport may not be as “clean”. Rough calculation of the w/kg for the top 5 riders are beyond reason. Still fun to watch though
Charming, but he doesn't say much.
My favorite, along with Jens Voigt. We all age and our abilities decline with age. That's the way of life. I can attest to that. I'll be 81 years old in 2 days. 🙂
Love the guy. I definitely watched Tour because of him. A wheely to end a stage was a memory I'll never forget.
Different. !! Can we say juicing again 😮
his voice kind of reminds me of the lead singer from System of the Down 😈🇦🇲
Sagan will forever have a legendary status among cyclist. He rode with such style and passion and always maintained the fun that made us all love riding our bikes when we were kids. That means even more than wins (and he won a lot).
0:43 Prettty much says it all 🚴♀👽
It's a bitter sweet statement from someone over his prime. GOd bless you, Sagan. Thanks for being there, you have brought a colorful excitement for the sport!
What is his role in this race?
An amazing career
i just want to give peter a hug and tell him thank you. in his day he was an absolute monster.
love this guy.
This interview reminds me of Greg LeMond's interview. Sounds almost like he wants to say something but isn't 100% sure he should say it.
Sagan wasn't the stereotypical rider,he was special ,he gave hope to us fans when u see him riding its indeed an inspiration,a motivation this guy was one of the best in the history of the sport its really sad to see him retiring,i hope he get a Good happy life thanks Sagan for everything ❤❤❤😢😢❤❤
I wish he had time to elaborate on how cycling has changed in his mind.
Peter was a superstar. But time moves on and cycling is dominated by younger and younger elites, who have the benefit of tech that didn't exist when Peter was coming up. That's evolution. He's got an amazing trophy collection and memory bank. I bet anyone of us would jump at the chance to go shred the trails with Peter!
Will miss you Sagan in the tour
Interesting comment at the end.
A true champion!
yup…sad. Sad that the “charade” can’t be seen for what it is. Fixed horse 🐎 racing.
