    2. Dibs what about Landrover Clubs haha Just kidding. Totally agree about them being different worlds. I think the only time there would be an issue is if a scooter club made patches that look more like mc patches with top and bottom rocker, colors and diamonds etc. But its easy for any one with only the slightest knowledge to tell them apart. The Bikes them selves are also a dead give away haha Imagine being the president of an MC and the whole club turned up on Scooters for a rally hahaha

    3. I think you’d be surprised at how many let’s call them Harley riders are secretly scooter boys at Heart. MC’s have no interest in the scooter world whatever.
      And absolutely no animosity ether.

    4. Some of our German associates tend to take the piss with top and bottom rockers that will surely piss a few MC’s off – A big No No with UK Scooterists who understand the MC’s ethos and value placed on displaying clubs names in this manner with separate top and bottom rockers.

    5. In my bubble of a world most MODS i knew didn't even have lambretta's, some was just mods, i think the Lambretta club and mod scene are close but not exclusive. Jmo from my experience with mods, as a rocker not an MC .

    6. Dibber, here’s a question. How do we deal with haters? A few days ago I was insulted which is fine, but if you insult the entire club then that has different consequences. I’d like to know how all the good people on your channel deal with it.

    7. I've always ridden motorcycles and did at one point own a 1965 vespa 150 sprint. Most of my friends rode scooters and I'd ride with them on an old Honda 650 nighthawk rigid chop. We all took the piss out of each other but we all looked out for each other.
I recall working security at the annual BMF show at the Peterborough showground in the late 80s. On the Friday night we got a call over the radio about 2am advising us that there was a bunch of scooters at the main gate asking to be let in and told not to give them access as they were only here to cause trouble. When we spoke to them it turned out they'd ridden from Wales. Bearing in mind the thousands of bikers in attendance we figured they definitely hadn't come all this way to get a hiding. We made the "executive decision" to let them in. Considering I witnessed Harley's etc arriving in covered trailers only to be wheeled out to be ridden around the site by posers I thought that the whole mods/rockers concept was way out of date. On our way home after the event, two up on a shitty honda cm 250 we had to pull over because our tent fell off the bike. This first guys to pull up and offer to help were scooter boys. I have nothing but respect for these guys. They ride hard and share the brotherhood and respect of the road. Scooters are a quintessential part of British bike culture.
Many years ago when I ran a pub I put on a bike meet, there were a few full patched guys from the local big club but there were just as many scooters in attendance. A great time was had all round. The best "bike" in my opinion was a mental custom tuk tuk 3 wheeler. It put a smile on everyone's face!
United we must stand to protect our freedoms (or what's left of it). At the end of the day our interests are the same. We even the same love of music and fun times. I find it hard to believe this is an issue. Thanks for your content and clear thinking. All the best Dibber and stay safe!

    8. Nice fair appraisal of UK scooter clubs, cheers Dibber. When I saw the title I knew you’d have a balanced and informative opinion on the subject.
Scooter club patches over the years are a mix of printed or embroidered patches which were swapped and sold to other scooter riders at rallies, not so much now but it was the thing in the 70s and 80s. (I was an 80s scooterboy). Patches were sewn on anywhere on any clothing, Parkas, denim jackets, combat trousers, flight jackets, etc.…
It became popular amongst clubs in the early to mid 80s to start wearing a large printed patch that would be sewn into the middle section of a Jean jacket or a cut off jean jacket worn over a MA1 flight jacket. The cut off bit was copying the bikers and it was also a statement saying “we are not mods” because mainstream folk and some bikers just thought if you rode a scooter you were a mod. It was around this time patch swapping and selling waned as SCs started to build their identities in the UK scooter scene.
I can recall in the mid 80s seeing some SCs wear a three piece patch layout but this didn’t last for the obvious reasons, almost certainly ignorance rather than trying to antagonise any particular MC.
The UK scooter scene is quite unique, it has flourished abroad in some places, especially Germany.
These are just my observations and opinions.

    9. My friend rode scooters and was in a scooter club, I ride a Harley and I'm in a 1% MC. When he was killed some of my chapter followed (at the back) around 200 scooters to his funeral out of respect.
