Anglesey will amaze you with it’s beautiful beaches and fascinating history. It ticks all the boxes.

Hello and welcome to the Great British Biking Adventures Coast Series. In this series we are travelling around the coast on our motorcycle, a Honda VFR1200X Crosstourer.

A lot of our viewers are bike enthusiasts but this series will appeal to a wider audience. Why? Because there’s so much more to the Coast series than motorcycles. There’s the challenges, the journey, geography, history and people. You get to travel the entire coast of England and Wales with us, see how we did it, share our ups and downs, experience English culture, the history and hear about the people that made Britain ‘Great’!

What’s also good about the coast series is it doesn’t matter when you start watching, it’s like one of those open top bus tours – you can get on at any point and just keep going until you arrive back where you started.

Who are we? We’re a husband & wife living in an unremarkable coastal town in England. We’ve been married 35 years and were brought together by motorcycles. One day, Esther’s Honda Melody broke down and she brought it to Jarrod’s motorcycle shop – the rest (as they say) is history.

One cold February day, we started riding along the seafront and just kept going. We wanted to record the experience to have something to watch in the future – the YouTube channel was an afterthought. Take a look at those first few episodes to see just how novice we were, cobbling together what little phone footage we had to try to make a story. To make up for our amateur recording and shyness we added information in the editing. This set the tone and style of our videos, we hope you like it. We like to think we’ve improved and hopefully you’ll agree, take a look, compare our earlier videos with the later ones and let us know in the comments.

There’s also the filming and production journey. When we started we knew nothing about filming, video and audio production, editing, YouTube and the like. We’ve learnt loads and spent loads in time and money along the way but it’s been almost as enjoyable as the journey itself. You’ll hopefully appreciate how far we’ve come.

But what’s with all those bible verses we hear you say. We know some of you don’t appreciate this aspect, one or two have told us in the comments! That’s fine – it really is. All are equally welcome here, believers and unbelievers. It would be a pity if you enjoyed everything else but just stopped watching because of the Christian references but we completely accept you’re free to do as you please.

Our faith has prompted us to include a bible verse in our videos and sometimes a Christian perspective on the things we talk about. The channel is not about Christianity but our faith cannot be separated from it. We hope and pray that it will make you think, inquire and even bring you into a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

    We love you really DervMan!

    1. well spank me with a mallet another tremendously informative enjoyable video.Happy aniversary. We was hoping to ride the coast of Scotland this year, i'm not sure how it will pan out becuse we have four grandchildren aged four and under to look after, I'm not amused!!!! Anyhow i tried to send a video of Fred's place last week and not sure if you recived it, it's only about six minuets long.

    2. Happy Anniversary, What a year its been. I have been through Anglesey but didn't have long there as catching a ferry to Dublin when we were going to the NW 200 racing.
As usual some very interesting facts and agree with the American accent.
      Look forward to part 2.
      Take care and ride safe.

    3. Oh, a lovely surprise for Friday lunchtime viewing 🎉🎥 Can you speak in the American accent in all future videos please? 🏁 I'm desperate for the sunny weather after watching this and seeing you guys 'livin the biking dream'. I'll never get tired of the blue skies and beach views 😎☀ The message at the end was a nice touch, you've built a lovely community around your videos. There are too many good bits to pick just one. Although I find Esther 'correcting you' via special effects very amusing😉Thanks for all the effort you put in to creating these videos, I thoroughly enjoy them and it's given me some great ideas for when I do something similar. 💚

On a different note how many miles has the VFR done? Do you do your own servicing? 🔧

    4. Very enjoyable as usual, you mentioned bio luminescence earlier, did you realise on the horizon in this shot you can see what look like Noctilucent clouds (night shining) quite a common and spectacular sight from late May through June/ July. Google will explain better than me !

    6. Who’d have thought that on a dull miserable day you managed to cheer me up!! How I’m longing for days similar to the one you’ve just shown. I bought a summer cool mesh bike jacket a couple of weeks ago – so just need the weather!!!
Enjoyed the continuation of your epic tour once again. Ah well – until next week…..

    8. I started watching all the episodes after you visited Pendine. (Spoiler alert). We did have a caravan on Anglesey for 10 years but moved in 2011 to our site where I’m sure we met🤔😜From The BMW owner and free parking attendant🏍️😃Great video ❤

    9. Visited Anglesey when I was a young lad (Far toooo many years ago to think about) I do remember the water when trying to swim was very cold The scenery has changed, this was another great ride along with you both. I guess I started riding with you over the summer of 2023 and look forward to each episode, I/we ride a 2019 Can-Am Spyder RT Ltd named "Tigger". Till next week stay safe, keep the rubber side down😎😎

    10. Congratulations.

Myself and husband are keen bikers. I do a little more than him but we both really really enjoy your videos. We’ve watched them all! Thank you so much for taking the time to do them and share them here.

It’s so nice to see you riding on glorious warm sunny days especially now in winter.

We’re from Wiltshire and regularly go to Wales for day trips and weekends away on the bikes and are looking into campsites on Anglesey now! We went several years ago in the car but need to go on the bikes.

    11. Hi,
We have followed you all the way through. Part of our Friday eve routine lol. Great insight into places you rarely see or hear about. Given us inspiration for future places to visit. Have all but given up on mainstream TV ( all hype , box ticking and agendas it seems lately) You tube is a revelation…whatever floats your boat ..it’s there..made by normal people you can relate to. Carry on the good work ! 😊
PS …have you a Facebook site or similar?

    12. Slowly planning my trip after watching your videos for information and routes to follow….thanks for posting your videos and history riding a GSA from WSM….see you on the prom bike park

    15. Congratulations on both achievements. Great video, my wife and I visited Wales last year and only used Anglesey as a gateway from the ferry and clearly I've missed out so my next visit will include some of the viewpoints highlighted in this episode.
Again thank you and keep up the videos I have watched everyone thus far with great enthusiasm.
      Cheers Ricky from Northern Ireland.
