    23 or 24 days they burn through 6,000 calories for every stage and a staggering 120,000 calories throughout the Tour by the end of the race Riders often shed 5 to 15% of their body weight naturally they lose weight to power up those mountainous terrains more efficiently but they inevitably lose

    Even more given the insane distances and altitudes they tackle it’s no wonder they call it a war of the Gods FYI the recent drug use percentage has drastically reduced to nearly 2%
