This was a top of the table Clash earlier in the season but it switched triumphed by four goals to two that day perhaps a score to settle for Preston but it which are without doubt the story of the championship season so far and they are on the verge of writing

Another incredible chapter in their history backto back promotions and a premier league return after more than two decades away is in their sights but despite being among the early season Pace Setters Preston are trying to stay on the coattails of the playoff chases here’s Luke wolfenden playing for

His hometown Club a player who was overlooked by Paul Lambert and Paul cook two former ipswitch managers but he’s now established himself as a first first team regular in this H switch team as Harry Clark runs loose and Creston have it will keing from range deflected and

In will Kean will claim it but a massive slice of Fortune for Preston North End George Edmonson the unfortunate one it came off him r foot at haki nothing really that the goalkeeper could [Applause] do the ex keeper scrambling to his right but unable to get there and Preston

North End who have had a habit of conceding early goals recently have now scored [Applause] Early Challenge from bar from Brown Kean it’s a great ball through for EML ree no flag here an Emil R chased down by Edmonson who gets the Final Touch it’s an own goal for the luckless George Edmonson oh a nightmare start to the game for him and ipswitch who now Trail by Two all started by Allan brown but look at the ball there from will Keane EML ree was in Edmonson attempts to make the challenge and prods it into his own net EML Reese knew he was on side and the Final Touch is off George edmanson this is the goal again oh EML

Ree on that viewing looks like he is offside but the flag stayed [Applause] down Reese will chase down the goalkeeper who always looks to play out from the back and there’s Keen another gift for Preston North End who take a three-goal lead over high flying HCK who were masters of their own downfall

There s alaki with a suicidal pass out to Sam [Applause] Mory fro got something on it and it ran kindly for wien who gobbled up the [Applause] opportunity wasn’t going to pass up on opportunity like this will ke looking to get clear of brown who got a challenge in will Keane on by frar and Miller is on his

Bike Preston looking for a fourth goal in this first half there’s pots deflected and goes through a corner Goodness Me H which simply cannot live with Preston this afternoon Miller scampering away outside of the boot missed only missed by reys and cson able to turn it in from a tight [Applause]

Angle whistle is gone it is going to be an N switch free kick just outside the area here there was a high boot wasn’t there from brockard there’s going to be chaplain to take this well it’s not they’ve changed their mind Le Davis after all will deliver it’s Davis off the post so

Unlucky ke for Mo’s flick smashed Away by Hughes and Preston with the opportunity to push up the Pitch Le Davis a terrific free kick so so close to getting a goal back for it Switch now they are playing out from the back in a dous area massive mistake from haki and it’s look surviv the scare dear oh dear what on Earth was going through the goalkeeper is mine there em [Applause] ree not for the first time today clacky messing around inside the penalty

Area and frar unable to punish him but he was arguing afterwards that he was foul frock burs Clark on the overlap HED with an important touch bmich there’s Mory for rip switch good ball Nathan Broadhead Davis looking for Kei for more it was inevitable wasn’t it a debut goal for Kei for more

Exactly the kind of service he thrives on keer Mo this could be a deadly combination for rwi this season Leaf Davis and Kea Mo those two [Applause] combine Clark we’re in the 87th minute at deepdale Hutchinson’s done well Davis keeping it alive Al Hamed saved and there he is again Mo he’s got another one what a debut for Kei for more from 3-0 down they’re back to 3-2 the two debutants inside that 6-y area alhamd

Was sniffing to get a goal of his own but it’s Kei for Mo who gets his second of the day and ifs which believe they can still leave Lancer with [Applause] something some game whistles all around the [Applause] stadium and it is all over and Creston North then become only

The third side this season to beat ipswitch in the championship ke for more on his debut with two goals in the second half Kieran McKenna certainly got a response it couldn’t really have got any worse in truth after a wful first half display but it switch falls short and this is a

Dent in their push for the automatic promotion spots two goals for will Kean North End a George Edmonson own goal had them three goals clear at the break a double for key for more in the second half and North End were hanging on for dear life

By the end but they did hang on and got the job done just all over at deepdale fulltime Preston North End three ipwi toown two

    1. Hladky, Clarke, Jackson, Edmundson and perhaps Sarmiento should all be dropped next game.
Moore is an obvious replacement, hopefully Williams will be back soon, we should also let Hutchinson have more time on the pitch

    2. whenever i’ve watched Ipswich they look uncomfortable playing out from the back, it doesn’t look like they will change that either so i expect more teams to press them from now on. they can score many goals which is the reason they are still up there

    3. Foul on Morsy for first and offside second. 3rd was a horror show at the back, then Hladky got away with handling after that backpass. But first 2 shouldnt have counted and would have been a different game. Over the season that will level out. Great response second half, but we need to make less errors at the back. Still believe. Need to keep digging in at this tricky period of poor results

    4. Not sure how a flying head kick on the edge of the box doesn't constitute a yellow at least. The officiating in this one was abysmal.

    5. I thought we'd used our quota of bad luck up against Maidstone, how the first 2 were allowed to stand I've no idea.Hladky had a shocker but the guys been great for the majority, people need to remember that

    6. Sad to see the wheels starting to fall off the tractor since I did want Ipswich to get promoted back to back. Still the play offs but I don’t think they’ll go up since they’ll have to face leeds who they always roll over for

    7. For those that don't know the rules on back pass..
Can a keeper be sent off for handling a backpass?
Law 12. 2 of FIFA's laws of the game — no. The correct remedy is an indirect free-kick from the spot of the illegal touching, unless it is inside the 6 yard goal area – then it is placed on the 6-yard line.

    8. Ipswich will still go up one way or another they now have the best striker in the league by a country mile and the best assist maker in Davis it’s guaranteed to produce bundles of goals, Ipswich had the exact same run last season from December to mid February where they hardly won a game and then went on a run of 16 wins from 19 games and made the top 2, they have the easiest run in by some way Southampton can’t keep winning it’s impossible ! Long long way to go

    9. BASICALLY ALL 3 PRESTON GOALS WERE IPSWICH MISTAKES SO I WOULDN'T BE WORRYING TOO MUCH IF I WAS A BLUE JUST KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO 2ND PLACE IS STILL THE TARGET 💙🏐🥅⚽♥️

    10. Ipswich still 4th. People are easy to forget where they were last season. £40m parachute payment for relegated squads and I believe the whole of Ipswich squad is worth about £10m, and yet they’re still up there. Great season for a Ipswich town in my eyes.
