In this cycling vlog we are riding inside a real volcano. We are cycling in Romania – Transylvania region, on Ciomatu Mountain, in wild bears territory. Once we reach the top we discover something totally unexpected inside the volcano crater: a majestic scenery and a beautiful surprise: something that you would not expect to find inside this mountain.

Keep in mind that we are in Transylvania, a region of Romania where ~6000 bears live in it’s forests. More than a third of the entire Europe’s bear population. You will see 2 of them in the video (we’ve filmed them while driving so this time we were fortunate not to encounter them while cycling).

It’s a beautiful part of the world where, in Valea Zalanului village, His Royal Highness, Charles, The Prince of Wales’s carefully restored an old house with traditional methods and materials. Watch the video until the end to see his rural house in the middle of Transylvania.

It is now a guest house so if you want to book a room here is their website: https://zalan.transylvaniancastle.com/

Don’t worry, it’s not a clickbait title we are going to climb inside a real volcano an extinct one but what we’re going to find inside it’s really going to be a nice surprise stick around cycle with us welcome to MySTREET we are back in Romania

Today we are going to ride inside a volcano and hopefully see some bears we are in Transylvania region here is Ana with me check it out ! that’s where we are going! up there , that’s the volcano About one third of the population of bears of the entire Europe

Lives in the forests of Romania so, especially in this part that we are cycling right now you get to see them quite often i really hope that we don’t get a close encounter with one the brown bear is typical for Transylvania they can be quite dangerous

If you see one when coming in Romania please don’t feed them don’t get to close try to avoid them as much as possible when in Transylvania so we’ve arrived on the top of the climb we’re on the beginning of the volcano crater there is an entry point, a parking

Where you can leave your car if you are arriving by car and now, let’s go down and see what’s inside of the volcano? you really need to try this sweet it is called Kurtos Kolac it’s a traditional Hungarian desert, really good. so, we are at Saint Anna Lake

Here in the middle of the crater of the volcano a lot of people, nice weather nice climb a bath in the lake would be great a swim and also the coffee is good no bears but beer 😉 a lot of beer we’ve ended our ride and now we are visiting Valea Zalanului village

It’s an old village, very secluded and it’s famous because of Prince Charles of England which owns a house here he restored it it looks very nice, you can sleep here so it’s a rural accommodation take a look, thanks for watching this video I leave you with these beautiful images

    Of a typical Transylvanian village
