Life dont get better than today if you have been obsessed with riding off road for most of your life.
Roost, dust, smoke and sunshiYne disappearing behind…

… with No other thoughts in your mind but trying line it up for the next twist of the throttle to catch the power just right and feel the revvs build in a millionth of a second with the back wheel drifting just a bit too much!- to give you that Whooaa! feeling- #

Which you only get on an Older 2 stroke.

This is the first place i rode with the Algarve over 50 champ before he died of brain cancer suddenly, his wife says-#
‘your just like him- why are you not happy unless your riding those bikes!’

    Yeah!
Like many ive met, she never understood or saw what we see and feel riding like this.
    Most never do.

And there is No feeling like it, its like getting my boots on for the first ever ride off road- all over again! -45c yrs later, Still.
Like being an excited kid- every time!

(Oh, by the way ‘Sash’- ‘Equador’ fits the vid perfect- 3.32 mins official version- if your savvy enough to play it next to the vid)

The guy was born the same day month and year as me, so maybe something happened in the 80s that got us all obsessed, i blame the U.S, ‘Dirt bike Magazine’ i bought every month as a school kid, it was full of sunshYne and Two stroke bikes on sunny wide open spaces.

Oh and a ‘seaty’ across a field on a YZ465 which scared the sh1t out of me – thats what i wanted to do from then on.

Got the work out of the way 2 days ago and went on the YZ on a 55 KM blast on ‘Route Alexandro’ – not even touching tarmac all day.

This is just the very start of it near sunset to try and kill that sharp back brake which is too sharp.
    2nd tankful in two days.

I love this , its got 100 meter drop offs, its fast bendy, uppy, downy and you can ‘rag it’ good
style for more than 55 Kms likje this, Until you have No fuel left.

I rarely use the pick up to go on the bikes unless it to the local MX track, there are hundreds of KMs of fast and viscious stoney trails right outside my door.

Riders come from thousands of miles away to ride here, its called – ‘Living your dream.
    Wheres me boots!!

I keep saying ‘Pedras or Pedras Grandes’- this means ‘stones’ or ‘Big stones’ its just a habit of mine, i practice my Portuguese subconciously probably, in Wales i would say ‘Cerrig mawr’ or ;Creigiau’
