Michalis Hadjioannou, Technical Director of ‘Bikin Cyprus’ tells us about the forthcoming cycling events taking place in Cyprus in 2012 with Zoe Anastasiou of the Cyprus Tourist Guides Association.
Yes hello and welcome to the green heart of the tortoise mountains we’re today here with the um technical director of the cypress cycling uh federation and he would like to tell us a few things about the events and you can maybe join in and have fun so here’s mihalis yes
Cyprus cycling federation is organizing six main events every year so that’s the case for 2012 we have the six events early in spring starting early spring and then our next events go through the whole summer in june uh through to september uh our first three events are the famous cyprus sunshine cup
Which are high highly ranked uh mountain bike races riders from all over the world come to cyprus to take part in these events and they really enjoy staying in cyprus during during spring in end of march we have the aphrodite trophy which is in the outskirts of larnaca in tockney village
Going through the white areas of cyprus through the nice forest around larnaca finishing in calabasas village which is a really nice and traditional village in june we come to through those mountains for the trudeau sports and farm festival which combines several sports activities for all all ages and all kind of greats
Yeah all grades of fitness and hobby hobby riders so so the site go to the wwe we have one more uh event in september that is in agama’s area it’s a really nice event because it combines the mountains of the akamas uh with the coast coastal line of the natural park of akamas
