    First university to look at is PSL or Université Paris Sciences et Lettres, which achieves an overall score of 78.5! The research quality achieves a healthy score of 83.2% & teaching has a score of 75.7%. Research environment receives a score of 72.8%, which indicates availability of lab spaces & research equipment. PSL has more than 16,000 students, from which 22% or 3,500 students are international. If you intend to study Physical Sciences, this is a good university to choose since it has the 20th place in the world. Art & computer science stand on the 23rd and 35th places respectively.
    The next top French university is Université Paris-Saclay with an overall score of 74.4 out of 100. Its research quality scores 82.4 & teaching scores 70.9. This University was established in 1150 & has more than 31,000 students. This university achieves the 32nd world rank for the Physical Science subject, 48th for Computer Science & 62nd for life sciences.
    Institut Polytechnique de Paris has overall score of 71.3 out of 100, based on teaching, research & other factors. The research quality receives a score of 70.8 while teaching is scored 71.     Sorbonne University holds the 75th rank in the world, right after the University of Southern California. Its research quality receives a score of 83.7 but Teaching, is only scored 64.7. Sorbonne was established in 1257 & has more than 41,000 students. This university achieves the 29th world rank for Art & Humanities subjects and 49th rank for Physical sciences. Some other subjects receive healthy world ranks, including life sciences, which is 60th and Clinical medicine, which is 78th in the world.
    Université Paris Cité achieves an overall score of 61.9 & research quality is scored a respectable 90.6. This research-intensive university has almost 62,000 students.     Finally, we look at Montpellier University, which has a world ranking between 301 & 350, close to University of Navarra. Research quality receives a score of 74.7% and teaching receives 38.3%. University of Montpellier or UM has almost 41,000 students with 15% or almost 6,000 are international students. The student per staff ratio of 20.5 might explain the low teaching scores.
