The Côte d’Azur: a 300 km stretch of glittering coastline in the south of France, known around the world as a playground for the rich and famous. But, behind the glitz and glamour, it’s a cyclist’s paradise.

World Downhill MTB champion and Côte d’Azur native Fabien Barel takes us on a tour of the best cycling that the area has to offer. With help from current and former pro cyclists Matteo Trentin, Megan Armitage, and Nicolas Roche – and a few of his local friends – Fabien explores trails that are some of the best kept secrets in the Cote d’Azur, and gives a sneak preview of the roads that will host the climax of the 2024 Tour de France.

All the way to Monaco is really well known for his epic Coastline tourism and luxury lifestyle but we do not imagine how much of a paradise it is for cyclists I’m very proud to call this my home I’m a two-time downhill mountain bike World Champion and five-time World Cup group having lived here my whole life I’ve been lucky we’re fighting Trails like this for me Dakota Zoo has some of the most exciting riding in the world why wouldn’t you want to live here incredible

The best roads the best training I’ve ever been on when the teams are telling me Oh we’re going on training camp as I well come here in a training camp I was probably one of the few riders that was downgrading my quality of training because I was going somewhere else Bro yeah buddy I laid off the Beaten Track to shred my favorite trips yeah baby end of the bike I show you my favorite spot to showcase the passion we have for cycling and food having a cycling clothing company in the mecca for cycling makes a lot of sense

It’s at the heart of who we are it’s at the heart of what the brand is you can see that the move is actually a perfectly smooth and is used to it not the first time there we are wow this is incredible in my opinion there’s no better place for cycling than here

    1. Stunning scenery and routes. My only concern with road biking at Côte d'Azur would be the vehicle traffic in the summer…Or ?
