Cristo’s early breakfast show provides an initial insight into the day’s top stories with a whole host of experts from around the globe and across the UK.

To TV for the stories that [Applause] Matter 3 two one and go this my friends’s talk today with me Jeremy Kyle and Made on TV on Radio and on your smartphone this is talk TV to allowing for mostly dry conditions through Tuesday but it’s back to a more unsettled theme for the rest of the week as we see wet and windy conditions spreading southeastwards across much of

The UK and then more of a westly flow developing as we head into the weekend and that will increase the temperatures above average so it will feel mild but it will make it increasingly cloudy wet and windy again so Wednesday morning will already be a wet and windy start to

The day across much of the northwest of the UK mainly over Scotland winds there could gust up to 80 mph and Inland parts of northern England Scotland and Northern Ireland easily seeing Gales throughout the day that rain with heavy downpours will be sliding its way southeastwards pretty quickly through

The day down towards parts of southern Ireland and the north of England and Wales ahead of that across England and Wales it will be mostly fine and sunny to begin with Frosty but then later cloudier and blustery and then into Thursday we see that rain eventually

Clear from the south it will be a sunny start to the day but it will still be a little bit blustery and it will gradually turn cloudier as well as wetter from the Northwest but you’ll notice it will eventually become milder as Well times radio sponsors talk TV Weather P Morgan uncensored is bold Brash funny it’s challenging I hope it’s smart and any argument is Allowed morning how are you it’s Christo here on talk TV and it is a Wednesday morning that’s your hump day isn’t it you got to get over this little hump and then you’ll be happy for the rest of the week early breakfast with you till 6:00

Thanks so much for joining us I know you have a choice first thing but you choose using talk TV and of course talk radio so I thank you very much indeed for doing that wherever it is you found us whether it be virgin freeat sky or indeed dab you’re very welcome indeed

03449 1000 that is the number that needs to be on your lips this morning and I tell you why because we have immigration figures and we have infrastructure figures now you may not think that those two things are related I think that those two things are directly related and I think that the

One relates to the other and I don’t think we would be so angry about the one if the other had actually caught up but this is where we are at the moment because you are waking up to the news that the UK population will surge to 70 million

People within the next couple of years this is 10 years sooner than predicted 03449 1,000 py what’s your reaction to that number do you hear that and think couldn’t couldn’t give two Hoots do you hear that and think hang on how are we going to cope do you hear that and think

Well this is governments to blame do you hear that and think that this is scaremongering 03449 1000 and we also have the Dual issue of Britain struggling to keep up when it comes to other European countries in creating infrastructure the average cost for a flat Road in the UK is

8.45 million per kilometer it’s half that in France it is so expensive for us to build infrastructure here in the UK and we make such a notter pigs ear of it a lot of the time we just fall behind and don’t bother so we have integration on one hand we have infrastructure on

The other how are they related why are we such a basket case when it comes to building infrastructure call and tell me right here this is Christo on talk TV why are we such a basket case with infrastructure in fact I I don’t know whether that should be the message the

The the the tweet that we put out to ask maybe we’ll put that as the question regarding infrastructure why are we such a basket case when it comes to building infrastructure because even when we do agree to build anything we screw it up don’t we and I always return to this

Statistic we have been discussing a third Runway at he throw since 1946 still not build do you know that there have been and let me get this right but I think about 25 or 26 different plans for a bakoo line extension here in London that have been going on for

Decades and decades still not built still not done we’ still spoken about it let me give you two letters and a number HS and two I mean what an absolute pigs ear we have made of that what are we going to end up with slightly fostter trains to Birmingham

One of the only routes on the whole of the Railway in the UK where there were already two lines anyway so we’re get a third line to Birmingham the one line we didn’t need we’re going to end up with and by the way that’s gone over billions if you’re living in the north

Huh good luck getting a train there and of course let’s not forget as well cross rail billions over budget years late here in London and doesn’t work properly most least reliable Railway in the whole of the United Kingdom we are a basket case aren’t we we don’t build we don’t plan we don’t

Don’t have long-term planning and we do not have the infrastructure this is this is mainly about transport but we could widen this out to other infrastructure to cope with the number of people that are here now that is not a comment on whether I approve or disapprove of

Immigration it’s just a fact you don’t have to be Pro or anti-immigration to say hang we just we don’t have enough we don’t have enough infrastructure for the people who are here that’s just a fact so how is this ever going to improve do you have any faith this is ever going to

Improve you are calling in your droves already there are a couple of phone lines free this gets very very busy on this program as you know so let’s get straight to the phone lines Katherine in Norwich morning to you you were first off the bat this morning why did you

Want to speak about this so much very good morning Christo it’s lovely to see your face on a Wednesday morning thank you bless you it’s a face only my mother would love oh no I love it too um very simply I’ll I’ll do it quickly because

We got a lot of calls coming in um when you go if you come in as a as a legal or illegal immigrants right you should be have to pay for NHS systems for at least two years it’s easy to do every you can get insurance if you come in or no

Insurance and pay for it cash because if we all get I hate ID cards but if we had them you turn up A&E you as a citizen UK citizens show it if you come in as a foreign person you haven’t got insurance you pay okay so you would say that for

Everyone everyone what about if you’re what if you’re here as a student if you come as a student you have to have insurance for your parents bringing you here hospital treatment is free of charge for people who this is on the government website who are ordinarily

Resident in the UK this does not depend on nationality payment of UK taxes National Insurance contributions being registered with the GP P having an NHS number or owning property in the UK what if you own property in the UK well if you own property in the UK

That means you’re paying some form of tax correct well you will have paid a a probably some sort of stamp duty to get that property but that’s that’s not National Insurance though is it national insurance is for our health system correct yes health system and yeah yeah

More or less please never I just well it happened to me when I went to Switzerland that’s why the first two years we had to insurance and it cost me because I’m I’m dis £350 a month okay fine fine and I have to do that forever because I was never I was never

Naturalized I didn’t become a Swiss citizen know what I love about this Katherine this first call is is you’ve called up with a complaint but you’ve also called up with a solution and I do think a lot of these are I do think a lot of these conversations are sort of

Complaint based rather than solution based but you’re quite right um okay if you are two can be built if you are a genuine Asylum Seeker who has fleed a war Thorn country that we have helped fa enough I think that that there should be dispensation for people who are genuine

In that position now there’s a big debate about who’s genuine and who isn’t but if you are deemed to be genuine then great you get you just get a card what about then though going back to your other people who’ve come here as immigrants what about free education

Should you have to pay for private ation if you come here or or or do you get free education what age you talking about children yeah so you come here and you’ve got children and you move to the UK should they get in the same way that

You’d have some sort of health insurance and that you’ve got to have uh your insurance paid for what about children schooling schooling okay so I went with my daughter who was 14 and she couldn’t speak German so we put we have to pay and they’ll hold your breath £34,000 a year

Here right but if we put into a Swiss School she’d have to speak German so would you have that rule here that if you if your children are fluent in in in English you’re allowed to go into school but if they’re not they need to have privately paid for by the parents

English lessons they don’t have to be fluent in English it’s up to you as a parent whether you want your child to go in and learn the language and I mean learn it that’s fine a four-year old 5year old six-year old if your child’s 14 and can’t speak that language that’s up

To you because they won’t be able to learn anything and finally going back to your health idea what about A&E A&E is simple when I used to go into A&E which hopefully wasn’t very often I had to have my insurance card with me or I had to pay cash if I wanted an

Ambulance I have had my insurance card with me or I paid £1,000 so okay but let’s let’s let’s let let’s though think about the logistics of A&E because I understand if it’s a non-emergency um A&E appointment even though that sort of goes against what it’s called um you

Know you’ve you’ve cut your hand and you need to go and get some stitches I get where you’re coming from what if I’m run over or I’m an immigrant that’s come here and I’m run over and I’m rushed to hospital sorry we’re not treating you till we’ve seen your card that’s not

Really going to work is it correct it’s so I’m just thinking just getting into the the ins and outs of what you’re suggesting maybe we need to also say look if you have a life-threatening condition that you you are going to be seriously ill you know we can’t be funny

Around with whether you got the right card or not no I agree because that’s happened to me once only once thank goodness and what happens there is you’re you always picked off if it’s an emergency or something wrong with you but I went there with a a like you know

When you health insurance Private health health insurance you have to put down what’s wrong with you and you know have to lie because if you lie and they find out there’s something wrong and if I don’t if I it’s something else I’ve been hit by a car or whatever then yes that

Could be free at source definitely definitely well I suppose maybe the rule would be if you’re conscious you have to provide your details if you’re unconscious then you know you sort of you get you get a free pass I mean look these might sound extreme to some people

But I think we need to be thinking along these lines but also to do it I think it’s really important and people are going to say look you know I’m woke or ly liid or whatever else but I really think it’s important that we remember as

Well that this is this is not people who are arriving arriving on our Shores by boat this is planned this is this is 600,000 of themist that that is this is successive government saying we are welcoming people here knowing we don’t have the infrastructure Katherine thank

You and not only does that let down us who are living here already it lets down the people who are coming here who are coming to a place that don’t have the infrastructure when they’re also paying taxes and whether it’s right or wrong they’re paying taxes with an expectation

That they’re going to get something for it so everyone loses out and the first obligation of a government should be to look after its citizens and if you are building an Economy based on foreign labor and you are slowly but surely eroding the services that the citizens who are here already

Are having and obtaining then you are failing as a government now again that’s not a comment on immigration that’s a comment on government failure Barbara imers side morning to you Barbara morning so what’s going on and are these two stories I’ve merged them together this morning but but but

Are they related do you think do you think that that we would be less angry about immigration if we actually had decent infrastructure I mean we we wouldn’t care so much about about the number of people here if you knew you could get a doctor’s appointment you

Knew you could get on a train and it would be reliable you knew that you could get your child into the local school and it’s going to be no hassle whatsoever are they related those two things I think so yeah because we have got a lot of people now over here and I

Can’t understand why people aren’t being um what can I say put into the proper space that they need if you know what I mean so like they’re coming over they could be a brick layer they’re coming over they could be a doctor why aren we using that uh you know the

Experience that they’ve got now the thing I’ve rang up for this morning is the daughter went to Japan in September and she was a bit nervous about hiring a car and she went this the best thing that she ever did she said the roads out

There were great we never h a ptle she said that we never saw anybody digging up the roads there was no traffic jams when they used the train she said it’s the most efficient thing that they’ve ever been on in a life she said it was unbelievable they said run to Perfection

Go on she the first thing that happened when she got back was got in the car at the airport and the atap pootle and the car after go in the garage she said and it was just unbelievable that when did we go from being this was perfect Nation

Why can’t we do it why when did we go from being a nation that the world looked at and said that these are this is The Benchmark Railways health and and and everything to the country where nothing works any nothing works when did that when did that happen it sort of

Crept up on us and then suddenly we went oh we’re we’re a laughing stock now yeah um I think it was the workers were getting fed up because they weren’t getting paid which I don’t think the game paid enough anyway all these big bosses are making millions and millions

And millions and going living wherever so they don’t have to pay tax that’s my view on it but the thing is if this country is going to get more and more people and like you said what was it 70 million yeah is this country big enough it’s higher than expected immigration

Will push po Britain’s population to 70 million by 2026 this is 10 whole years earlier than it was are we big enough are we big enough as a country to fit all these people in well we are not big enough certainly when we have things like important things I’d say like the

Green belt things like because we are going on about D build on Green Belt what the OES that’s already built weren’t they built on a green belt originally which well they were but there was protected areas that were then created in order to stop us just becoming this huge densely populated

Everywhere so we’ve become more densely populated in certain places and less densely populated in but what I find is you see a lot now um like I said we’re we’re up north and you see a lot of these old mills just rotting away and they’re like 67 floors now why can’t

They convert them into flats for people who can afford it in of apartment I would say that you’ve you know the hiera and you know oh what a beautiful because people in those places unfortunately I would guess and I don’t know particularly where you’re talking about but I would guess there’s no money

In building those apartments there because there’s not the prosperity in some of those cities probably because they’re not well connected by rail because there hasn’t been investment because they’ve been left behind when it comes to London so everyone wants to build where it’s more densely populated and there’s more money because there’s

More profit in it whereas you’re quite right um I mean they just built a block of um apartment um in Le which is near wigam where you’re coming up to and the £900 a month people in Lee don’t earn 900 a month to pay that sort of rent and

I just can’t understand who are they aiming at so exactly so then why would you if you were a developer and I know a bit about property because it’s kind of my game why why on Earth would you build there you’d be building you’d spend all that money converting a mill or building

A block of flats and you’d be like well the people there can’t can’t afford to make it profitable for me and unfortunately that is where it is now if you ask me that’s where the state should come in and have social housing and they should have it for people who are key

Workers but that’s probably another conversation but Barbara I got to go thank you nice to talk to you that’s Barbara in m s you’re calling in your droves we’re going to start flying through some of these this morning right here on talk TV we’re here thanks for joining us you’re with talk TV on TV on radio online and we on your smart speaking criminals to using XL Bully dogs as weapons to threaten others no matter how well trained most dog owners will tell you a dog can turn do you know

What I love about talk today we do it all sunak sella scon a woman can become a man and a man can become a woman and if you think that you’re certifiably insane slick Wishy seemed intelligent forensic even a bit of a Statesman type of man you’d trust to look after your

House while you went on holiday this concept that actually kids wouldn’t carry knives if they could go and play Tiddly Winks at the you know the corner of the street or whatever I think it’s a nonsense happy THS we slick it curing timorous Beast of panics in

NY K stas accused the government to failing a generation after a record number of young people were killed last year using a knife or sharp object we need to make sure that when we say we’re going to ban them we actually do ban them there are so many politicians now

Who just say my dad was a boss you’re David Cameron no he wasn’t was like brought to you by St KH the mayor of London very rarely meet anybody that says you know the thing about London is it’s got a great mayor it’s a deep Cal brilliant

Guy in the cities there are areas where there are no vegetables it’s particularly difficult for those people to do what Mark is saying if he comes up with this argument again I’ll sit on him stop creating all of these funny little factions with their funny little names the new conservatives the ERG the

Common sense research group the red wool red trouser popcorn I mean popcorn what what is that if you’re talking about multiculturalism it’s workingclass white boys who get put in the Army the poorest people in society are the ones who are going to be put on the front line

Something is going horribly wrong we can do a lot better Donald Trump didn’t just win he obliterated this is a guy facing nearly a hundred criminal charges and yet all that Stu is actually make him more popular Trump is canny enough to know that all publicity is good

Publicity I don’t want a president who’s been impeached if he’s able to bamboozle you that’s the way it comes I did my 6 months I came back nobody would touch me I put my head down and persisted and Carri down when I say I am God I’m not

Joking did you feel Elvis was controlling I’ve been answering your question you answer mine it’s actually not my job to answer your questions I’ve asked you two questions should a mass stay in power and are they a terror group you’re refusing to answer either of them that is very telling talk TV is

The only place where you get the truth you’ve done a book on poetry poetry and music for the many I love poetry we can agree on that Morning it’s Christo here on talk TV when I say it’s a good morning some of you will not be feeling that way when you hear these latest figures that our population driven by migration will push Britain’s population past 70 million in two years time and again look I understand there are issues

Around immigration and I understand there are issues about sort of cultural issues integration issues I think that those are fair issues but I don’t even think you need to sort of go down that road with this story because it’s just about numbers population versus infrastructure immigration versus infrastructure and wherever you’re

From whatever’s brought you here if you can’t get anywhere fix anything get a Hospital appointment get your child into a school that is a betrayal of everyone including the people who came here as as immigrants so something’s got to happen because we also have this news this

Morning that we’re also debating that we are lagging behind terribly when it comes to infrastructure in compared to other European countries we have a shortfall um according to experts that manifests in appalling services so two stories today immigration over 70 million an infrastructure we a basket case you’ve been reacting to that and

Let’s go to uh let’s go to Ian first in abedine um Peter’s gonna wait for us morning to you Ian good morning Crystal so um you’re a new caller right what prompted you to want to speak about this this morning welcome NHS like we were in a holiday a couple a year

Ago and on I was fully insured medical insurance and all that but the first night my wife broke her leg so hos we go and the first thing we did to Turkey was bized and she had alcohol in her system obviously on holiday and in medical insurance family was n Vo do

Hey what did she do what did she do she fell off the toilet no no no no I mean okay no I mean what did she do as in how did she get her leg treated well we went to the hospital I’m sorry she fell off the toilet by the way

That’s yeah yeah she went to hital get got into the hospital and got treated but I had to pay £650 in the morning to get out and so they and would they have normally treated you but it was because of the alcohol or would you have been charged anyway would have been charged

Anyway well no depending without the alcohol you probably got treated under your insurance right I understand but perhaps I I don’t know what your insurance Arrangements were or whether there was a deal with that country but but if you were if you’d had a few drinks and you

Hurt yourself as far as they was as far as they were concerned there was more onus on you to pay yeah so would that work here do you think would that work here yeah I think it would because if you’ve got insurance you’re F but if you’ve had

Alcohol and all that then it’s the hus is on you pay for your treat I I’m I’m a bit reluctant to go down that road as someone who was enjoyed a few drinks in my life someone who injured themselves with a few drinks in life I mean one of

My most serious injuries I’ve ever had was when I fell down and escalator at a Madonna concert after a few vodran tonics I remember you talking about yeah and the gays just left me they just left me the gays were more interested in Madonna than treating me at the sca

Which I understand I understand but had I got to hospital and they’d have said well hang on were you were you were you drinking and my argument against that sort of thing would be are we going down isn’t that a dangerous road to go down where we start

Saying well actually you’re a rock climber you’ve chosen to go up a rock climbing so we’re not going to treat you and and and you smoke so we’re not going to treat you and do you see what I mean yeah yeah yeah yeah I agree with you

Totally but it’s just that’s to happened to me and I had wow was crazy that I hear then I to put off her treatment and delay we were just there for a week and just get to bandage her up and that sort of thing and because the treatment was

Cost me something like 20 odd th000 okay so so is there a middle ground though between what you’re suggesting and what we do here and that perhaps yeah yeah yeah yeah all right yeah listen I I get that thanks Ian glad that you chose to uh call me as your

First call here on talk TV thanks so much Peter in Bedford thanks for waiting Peter what’s uh your reaction to 70 million in the next couple of years yeah hello Christo um it’s it’s it’s a difficult one a’t it really because obviously the numbers are horrendous

When you look at the population now and what it was after the war and you know sort of nearly doubling and whatever I don’t think the numbers are too bad it’s just a ma it’s a matter of and again I’m not trying to be controversial here but

I just think it’s the type of people or the culture of people that are coming I mean the Middle East is more or less on fire now and it people are leaving Africa Middle East coming over which by the way trying to change their culture

And I and I think so just to throw in just to jump in Peter just to jump in just to jump in just sorry that’s partly Down To Us by the way yeah the Middle East we’ve you know we what were we doing fiddling about over there like

That that is partly down to us I’m not saying that we are completely to blame but I just think it’s worth pointing that out no no no I know we’ve we’ve played a part I just I just worry in this country that um is LAM and stuff is

Is very very dangerous in a lot of areas um I mean I live in Bedford area um luten up the road um in what way would you say that it’s danger when you’re walk when you when you’re actually walking around Lon as in London you feel like you’re in a foreign country you

Know you you genuinely do and and how is that just I just want to drill this down Peter but how how does that manifest as as because you used a very specific word they’re dangerous I think it’s dangerous because in my mind 90% of those people do not

Want to in a European Free Nation like we are like Germany Belgium places like that Holland Poland a whole lot they want to come over here they don’t they don’t like people drinking they don’t like people smoking they don’t like homosexuality um and it frightens me I’m

On 61 this year and the the change you you’ve only got to look at London thousands and thousands of people are Marching against Jewish people and that’s what they were doing they were against Jewish people they hied behind Palestinian Flags but they hate the Jewish race and also Christo they hate

Our way of life well okay okay let me just let me just Peter let me just jump in on a couple of things of um I think it’s fair to point out that there are some people who are many whom I know who are supportive of Palestine whether

They’re Muslim or not who don’t hate Jewish people and I think it’s it’s fair to point that out just as there are some people who are are um you know supportive of Jewish people that don’t think everything that Israel has done is is brilliant in history so I think I

Think what Nuance is really important where you are I think correct is I think some of your numbers are a bit wrong but I think where you are correct that there are causes for concern I think what you’re referring to is the poll back in 2016 and it was an

App poll carried out by ICM saying that the British Muslim population um say that over half thought that homosexuality should be illegal absolutely though 86% of British Muslims in that same poll said that they feel a strong sense of belonging in Britain so that doesn’t imply a sort of hatred of

Britain as you suggested let me just say this and then I’ll let you respond Peter let me just get all this out then you can say what you like um well is higher than the national average of 83% also this survey said a large majority of British Muslims who took

Part in the survey said that they feel a strong sense of belonging in their local area 88% said Britain was a good place for Muslims to live in 78% said that they would like to integrate into British life on most things however however when it came to drilling

Down so the sense of belonging and the sense of wanting to be British there many British Muslims in the survey pull quite High where then I think there there you’re fair to point out a disconnect when asked to what extent they agreed or disagreed with homosexuality being legal only 18% said

They agreed and 52% said that they disagreed in a series of questions on the terror threaten Britain 4% said they sympathize with people who took part in suicide bombings 4% they said they sympathize with people who committed terrorist actions on a form of political protest generally but nearly a quarter supported the

Introduction of sharia law in some areas of Britain and 39% agreed that wives should always obey their husbands so I think it is there um and nearly 31% nearly a third thought it was acceptable for a British Muslim man to have more than one wife and that was an representative poll of

Around a thousand Muslims across the UK and it was actually carried out in 2015 the results were released in 201 so I think that where I would say that the numbers disagree with what you’re saying is the sense of belonging and feeling British where I think you have a

Fair point if we are to refer to this poll is to what extent you agree with I suppose you’d say British values of you know having maybe one wife of you know agreeing that you should be free to be homosexual and love who you love not wanting Sharia law and agreeing with

British and I think on that if we agree with this poll you’ve got a fair point yeah it’s a difficult one isn’t it it’s it’s it’s not so much I don’t know it’s not so much about British culture it’s about a kind of culture you know where

Somebody is is accepted as they are you what would you say then to people who say about I mean if we had if we had an influx of people from Germany just for instance and they you know they was all coming over this way or Belgium or

Whatever like I said they wouldn’t want to I don’t think they would want to change our culture would they they they wouldn’t demand to have a mosque here and again chriso this is all true I mean go to Luton which is 20 miles up the road from me there’s more there’s nearly

More mosques in Luton than pubs but people who are okay Peter but people who take issue with what you say would say and and I want to give you the right to respond to this because there’s a couple of things I want to put to you but firstly there

Are going to be people that say well look that is the very British value that you want to keep almost that you feel is being eroded and that is the freedom to have a religion the freedom to build uh a temple of worship whatever your faith

May be in a free country like Britain and if we would not to allow British Muslims to do that or any faith in fact then what we are doing is bringing in the values of the very places that you worry we are potentially turning into so

Isn’t the fact that there are so many mosques a testament to the fact the British values are actually being upheld well well you could go down that route but I could say well how many synagogues is there in Loot and there’s probably one too you know yeah but there

Are areas of London potentially where there are lots of I know I know we have to be careful chist no no but I’m I’m just I’m just trying to no no I’m not having no no not at all you to I totally agree with a lot you say but we all know

Christo that there’s certain areas and a lot of areas in in in Britain in England Leicester Birmingham Luton places in lots of places in London that are completely areas that are completely cut off and a lot women a lot of females in them commun communities a lot of them don’t speak

British but the older ladies a lot of the women are walking around covered head to toe that that is that is against British fair enough all right all right and I I understand what you’re saying and you’re talking about a lot and I think you’re reflecting a lot of what maybe soel

Brotherman said about integration listen I’ll just tell you Chris I’ve voted Labor All My Life totally but I’m just I’m just demonstrating someone who who agre I’m not one of these NF I mean I’m covered in I didn’t say you I know you’re very fair all I’m saying

Is that this is not right they’re not they’re not Integra well some some are not hold on Peter Peter you got to let me jump in when I need to yeah of course mate yeah yeah sorry some people are not I don’t think you can use a blanket

Thing to say look all British Muslims are not integrating because I I don’t think that’s I didn’t mean to say all if I did I’m yeah I I think you need to to be careful to say some a lot but there are going to be people that are

Listening to what you’re saying and and are going to be saying well look um you’re you’re not being fair you’re being actually racist by saying this you’re being islamophobic by saying this this is completely um you just not liking people of different colors or not liking a different culture what would

You say to that absolute rubbish you know I’m not racist at all but what I am very very about as a grandad as a father that in 20 30 40 years time this country will be run as a Muslim country and I really do genuinely believe that I

Mean look how the figures have changed I’m not saying it’s all Muslim people that have changing need we’re talking of 70 million people in this country I haven’t got a problem with that because there is plenty of room to build and also you cultural change I don’t care what

People think of me chriso I know that I I hold on all right okay um yeah I I think like I said like yeah we need to also just be careful not to say every single Muslim because because you know there are there are many Muslims that

Have made a contribution to public life that that are all all I’ll say just quickly Chris well hang on I want to ask you one final question Peter I think this is a really important question and youve reminded me of a conversation I had the other night with someone who’s

Very close to me and we were having this exact conversation actually and it it was we ended up talking about soel bravman and what she’d said about integration and you know Sharia law and all of those sorts of things and I said to them know that this is the

Conversation was about whose fault it was and whether it was the fault my friend was vehemently saying it’s the state’s fault if people come here whether they be Muslim whether they be anything and they have values like wanting Sharia law which you know overwhelmingly it’s worth saying that

Three quarters of the people asked in that poll didn’t want it but the quarter that did or over half not wanting uh homosexuality or wanting to have you know the number that said that they wanted more than one wife and as you say the people who haven’t learned the

Language as well that’s a that’s a big part of where integration doesn’t work um I was saying that that’s outrageous that people are like that because if you go to a new country it is your obligation to learn the language and to contribute and to integrate and to make

Friends with people who are who are within that Nation already like my dad did and that is on you to do that my friend was saying no no no no no it’s the state’s fault when people don’t do that because the state facilitate it the state don’t make people integrate the

State allow people to be that you can’t blame the people you got to blame the state who is to blame when someone from a different culture and a different religion and a different set of values to the okay come here and don’t integrate it’s a state of course it is I

Think I think every every right-minded British person would say that because we’ve we’ve become too soft we’ve become too politically correct and we’ve bowed down to people and allowed them to get away with stuff that a British person wouldn’t be allowed to get away with and rightly so I disagree I think it’s

Partly on the people themselves I think it’s partly on the people themselves I could never go and live in another country and then just presume I could live in that country and not learn the language and and and want to feel aart of what what you mean in that respect

Yeah absolutely I don’t think I would blame the state for that being the case I just think the state is to blame but by allowing people to to come here and try you know like we all know the stories chryst don’t we about school teachers in hiding and people like that

You know you know and you got these big grown men outside of primary schools intimidating women taking their kids to school you know that’s fantastic I I mean I know on the other side that happened in Northern Ireland and and stuff like that again it’s a religious

Thing and I just I just I can’t argue with that I mean I can’t argue with what happened in Batley what happened when it came to Dreaming gangs what happened when it came to uh uh protests about the the the uh uh the movie that was shown

And the cinema needing to close down the person who threw the copy of the C that is ridiculous that is the protest about that was extremism but also then you have convinced me actually part of that is down to the state allowing that to happen and nurturing that also when you

Ghetto eyes people you know you put them in that part of the area you know and and it’s difficult but I think all I will say racist no but all I will say which I think is important to say in these conversations Peter all I will say

To finish this conversation is I think you’ve raised some Fair points but I think it’s really important to point out that there will have been there are undoubtedly Muslim people disgusted by grooming gangs in fact it was a Muslim it was let me just say this without you

Interrupting it was a Muslim police chief who actually then facilitated the prosecution of many of those gangs I think it was the Rochdale gangs that without him they would never have been prosecuted there will have been people who are Muslim in fact I’ve spoken to many who

Would be disgusted by what happened in Batley or who will be in the 75% of Muslim people who think the Sharia law should not be implemented in the UK so while it’s important to point out where the issues are I think it’s also important to point out that you can’t

Make one can’t not necessarily you a blanket assumption about all people of a particular Faith but I do think some of the issues that you’ve raised are fair and I think that what I’ve just said to point out that it doesn’t revolve around everyone and thank you for your call Peter

Is that you can’t have those conversations unless you do so by being careful and balanced and I think the the issue is and it’s another issue is that sometimes these conversations get had and you’ll hear about the grooming gangs which are repellent I mean I put victims on television of the grooming

Gangs I know that story inside out it’s the most repellent awful story Maggie Oliver is a friend of mine um if you became a friend of mine because I think she’s an absolutely amazing woman who who who was a police officer who tried to get the prosecutions and and and

Wasn’t helped in doing so um these conversations get shut down if you make gross generalization saying that all Muslims believe in this or all Muslims think that’s a good thing and then when those conversations are shut down as a result of being like that that’s when these things are allowed to

Then fester and prosper so if you get angry with me balancing it by making sure that we are fair and responsible in it well the reason I do that is because we need to have these conversations and I do not want these conversations shut down okay when we return we will talk

More of you about this we’ve got so many calls so we’re going to start trying to fly through some of these all here on talk TV we’re here thanks for joining us you’re with talk TV on TV on radio online and we’re on your smart speaking criminals to using XL Bully dogs as weapons to threaten others no matter how well Tred most dog owners will tell you a dog can turn you know

What I love about sport today we do it all sunak sella scon a woman can become a man and a man can become a woman and if you think that you’re certifiably insane slick rishy seemed intelligent forensic even a bit of a Statesman the type of man you trust to look after your

House while you went on holiday this concept that actually kids wouldn’t carry knives if they could go and play Tiddly Winks at the you know the corner of the street or whatever I think it’s a nonsense happy THS night we slick it and timorous beasty open panics

In K stas accused the government of failing a generation after a record number of young people were killed last year using a knife or sharp object we need to make sure that when we say we’re going to ban them we actually do ban them there are so many politicians now

Who just said my dad was a boss you’re David Cameron no he wasn’t was like brought to you by sadique KH the mayor of London very rarely meet anybody that says you know the thing about London is it’s got a great mayor sadique K brilliant guy in the cities there are areas where

There are no veg it’s particularly difficult for those people to do what Mark is saying if he comes up with this argument again I’ll sit on him stop creating all of these funny little factions with their funny little names the new conservatives the ERG the common sense research group the red wool

Red trouser popcorn I mean popcorn what what is that if you’re talking about multiculturalism it’s working class white boys who get put in the Army the poorest people in society are the ones who are going to be put on the front line something is going horribly wrong

We can do a lot better Donald Trump didn’t just win he obliterated this is a guy facing nearly a hundred criminal charges and yet all that’s done is actually make him more popular Trump is canny enough to know that all publicity is good publicity I don’t want a

President who’s been impeached if he’s able to bamboozle you or that’s the wake up did my 6 months I came back nobody would touch me I put my head down and persisted and carried on can I say I am God I’m not joking did you feel Elvis was controlling I’ve been answering your

Question you answer mine it’s actually not my job to answer your questions I’ve asked you two questions should a mass stay in power and are they a terror group you’re refusing to answer either of them that is very telling talk TV is the only place where you get the truth

You’ve done a book on poetry poetry and music for the many I love poetry we can agree on that Morning Christo here on talk TV and uh I’m getting a bit of stick on Twitter Kayla particularly saying that I interrupted um pizza too many times um I’m just going to say one other last thing there is a legal o ation when you’re having conversations like that where not necessarily Peter but one

Might make a generalization about a particular person as outlined in the 2010 equalities Act and the broadcasting code where saying remember I kept saying the word some and I think I need to jump in here because I’m a legally I’m legally required to balance those conversations and if not then we fall

Foul of the broadcasting code if someone makes a complaint and I would rather still keep having those conversations I think it’s really important to keep having those conversations and so if I have to jump in and interrupt or clarify that you don’t mean everyone or step in

When I feel that someone is not being balanced enough or is making the kind of comment that will potentially get us in hot water I will do that because that means we can keep having the conversation or I can just be quiet let them make that point and then

Potentially for risk of an offc come complaint meaning that we won’t be able to have those conversations anymore so which would you prefer sorry to get on my high horse about this but we are we have legal obligations around our broadcasting now you could say those obligations are

Wrong you could say the offc comes wrong that’s up to you but that’s why I did that okay let’s go to um Linda in East Yorkshire morning Linda good morning Christo I’m going to change it completely now all right um 750,000 per year coming in that means on average we’re going to need

750,000 accommodation units whether it’s a one-bedroom flat or a three-bedroom house once we start building on green green areas the agricultural areas we’re going to where we going to get our food from there are vast SES of England that are not fit for agriculture the North York Moors the Peete district and the

Lake District that is impossible to farm you can run sheep on it and cattle on it it but you cannot grow crops I where I live in this area it’s we’ve got one major city which is whole and after that soon as you go out of the um boundaries

You’re in small villages small Market towns and vast waves of agricultural land if we build on that which I agree everybody needs a house where are we going to get the food from we then have to import once we start importing then we start putting costs up again um

There’s got to be a limit somewhere and you can’t more f onle with more why has this been allowed to happen I know why it’s been allowed to happen but I’m just sort of musing because we are screwed and I honestly think we are because we have built an

Economy over the last I would say probably 20 years particularly maybe 30 which has seen our economy prosper and I use that cautiously but seeing our economy Prosper based on um companies and industries doing particularly well out of low wages and that has been driven in part through allowing lots and

Lots of people to come here and fill those gaps and because those jobs are quite low waged British people don’t want to do them we therefore fill up that that Gap with people who are from other countries those companies then Prosper because they’re not paying high

Wages we end up in this cycle where we then need more foreign labor because the the the jobs aren’t paid that well but eventually even these people on low wage jobs are going to want higher wages yeah but also want healthare want housing want uh want want education want all of

Those sorts of things so even if they’re working in the system and paying tax they’re on low wages so they’re not probably paying loads of tax and also they are the the the infrastructure is not keeping up so my massive fear about this kind of story Linder is that we are

Screwed that we’ve got decades to unpick all of this because if we stopped immigration tomorrow unfortunately a lot of those jobs are still low paid a lot of those jobs could not be immediately filled by by British people um so we we need not only decades for this to have happened

But we need decades to sort of unpick this and it’s it’s it’s a mess it’s a total mess um unfortunately I’m on the age group now where I’m contributing to the fact that I’m one of the old folks that’s going to end up costing people a

Lot of money but at the same token I started work at 15 and worked right up to retirement age and I paid all my taxes I paid all my National Insurance I saved a lot I was in good company pensions um and I’ll do my best to look

After myself but unfortunately there are people that cannot um and I don’t see why they should be penalized just because they were poor to start with never had really good education um and help now um all right now I get it Linda got to go I want to

Do a couple of texts a lot of people agreeing with Peter um bazin Sterling uh few others as well Dan in Kent well this has started to be a conversation about ofcom which I really don’t want to go into Carolyn Waymouth um I’m just giving

You a little um uh taste of it Christo that survey of Muslims was about decade old I know it was the easiest one to have to hand but you make the point I don’t know who this is that it might have changed since then Anin sorry I challenge you to find five British

People that don’t agree with Peter uh David Romford I agree with this caller um a few others as well here Paul saying that I agree with Peter as well and a couple of other uh stories a couple of other texts on this what a lovely surprise to see you says Rachel thank

You Wayne says we should build Railways like China it works Britain is so out of touch thank you for that okay let’s uh quickly fit in Stephen who’s in Spain hi there Steven what what do you think about this infrastructure versus immigration are we up the proverbial

Creek cryistal your spot on it’s taken decades to get here I look at Spain now I always used to look down on Spain thinking it was poorer I look at the facilities in Spain and they’re ahead of the UK certainly the hospitals I had to visit recently and it will take decades

But I think we are trapped the government needs to grow GDP to flatter the debt because so much debt without the GDP growth we in a trap they’ve been doing it by importing people now to unwind that I don’t think they can do it without Capital controls so reintroduction of capital controls and

Then control the interest rates and rebuild the economy and you know what the other ingredient to this mess is which I’ve just thought of was and look I get it I understand why this needed to happen at the time and this is making me sort of question when it comes to

Privatization and everything else everything that she did because she’s my political Idol but removing so many of the Union based rights that many workers had did open the doors for far lower wages and cheaper labor being able to replace British people that were doing those jobs and I wonder now on

Reflection looking at where we are whether there was more of a middle ground between getting the union powers under control which were too extreme but also allowing wages and rights to be enough so that we didn’t need to import people who would be prepared to work with with lower wages and fuer

Rights yeah you’re right it happened a long time ago but it’s it’s when we took the the came off the dollar came off the gold Peg and everybody went for a freefor all with finance and the banking industry has thrived it’s been busted over the years and also big businesses

Thrived because all of they were saving a fortune on wages were having lower corporation tax and all of those sorts of things the treasury thrived because they were getting money from all of that but actually people on the street were not thriving and that’s probably then

What drove people to to want to vote for brexit as what it is all inter linked and this is it’s this horrific cocktail of about 10 or 15 different ingredients which has got us to this day I could talk about this for absolutely hours but alas time is against us because that is

It from me today I thank you so much for your company as always and we might do this again tomorrow because so many of you didn’t get to come on air I gave Peter a lot of time because of the interruptions that I gave him so we’ll

Maybe do this again tomorrow um don’t go anywhere because I’m back same time same place tomorrow but don’t go anywhere because coming up next on talk TV it’s talk today that’s Next how are you going to stop the vote this is an international how’s that going for your party I’m a millennial you’re a Victorian I think this helps weather people I’m going to help the Vets Office three two one and go I’m Jeremy Kyle and I’m Nicholas th welcome to talk Today we’re here thanks for joining us you’re with talk TV on TV on radio online and we’re on your smart speaking criminals using XL Bully dogs as weapons to threaten others no matter how well trained most dog owners will tell you a dog can turn do you know what

    1. I agree with you Christo each person is responsible if they come into a country to integrate but the State should react better when these people who do not act responsibly because they want to act like their in their old country should be prosecuted and deported

    2. The Us is under attack/invasion. Like the UK,we cannot sustain this. Our housing is over taxed, our welfare (benefits) are nearly depleted. The situation is dire.
