The fulltime here at Stanford bridge where Chelsea have lost 2-0 at home to brenford and it’s a bit of a familiar feel from Richard poino and a lot of these Chelsea supporters who filled this ground earlier today uh just one win from their last 13 home League games and

It had a a cyclical feel that will cause a bit of a problem for poino you know they they started well they created chances but they failed to take them and then they conceived the soft goal at the other end um to behind and then a second

In stoppage time when they were chasing the game trying to throw in the goalkeeper forward trying to get that equalizer this is the sort of pattern of play that that ultimately did for Gran Potter that um you could argue was also part of the Thomas tle era um and one

That Frank Lampard was unable to change during his interim spell and while there have been signs of progress under poino I thought Cole Palmer played well in the first half um Enzo Fernandez has looked of this season the signs of M mudri starting to be the player that um

Convinced Chelsea to pay 100 million EUR for um they still yet to put together that kind of coherent 90-minute performance against a good side um that really would serve as a statement win for them going forward and and give them something to build on as it is they’ve

Fallen a little bit further behind the top four they’ve sced in mid-table at the moment and watch has got to break that cycle sooner rather than later

    1. Since April 2023 Brentford have more wins at Stamford Bridge than Chelsea and that’s an absolutely embarrassing record and have beaten them in 3 consecutive Premier League games away from home. After their good run of form Chelsea are now back to square one again and this was just another poor defeat and the same issues were just so common today they dominated possession for most of the first half but because they couldn’t take their chances Brentford ended up beating them 2-0.

Their scoring problems are so well documented and they’re a team that gets the ball in the final third yet aren’t threatening have no killer instinct in attack and yes it’s easy to blame Mauricio Pochettino and the players I’m not even blaming the manager for this defeat because these are pre existing problems that we saw under previous managers and their issues aren’t going away any time soon.
