Hello Electra heads or soon to be Electra heads I know you lot have been crying out for a video on sub 1,000 electric bikes that we rep and today I shall deliver under Β£1,000 you’d be forgiven for thinking is it too good to be true look these aren’t going to be

Cowboy or specialized however ebike brands are getting really smart with how they can offer a comprehensive electric bike at a very attractive price and don’t forget you can get an extra discount by using my code Alish 50 for Β£50 off at checkout to be very clear all

Of these bikes are C certified meaning they are safe to use and have passed the SGS test standard there is no black market Malak here and to top it off there’s loads of ways to manage The Upfront cost using pay later you can spread payments over 2 6 9 or even 12

Months or use the cycle to work scheme to get up to 40% off the total cost so that 1K bike could in fact be Β£600 if you want to find out on how you can do that then check out the link right here before I get started I need to make two

Things very clear the bikes I’ll be talking about today will feature varying size motors some even have throttles if you live in the UK and EU to ride an ebike legally on a public road you need to have a Max 250 W Motor that will assist you up to 15.5 mph and throttles

Are illegal if the bike has a bigger motor and or a throttle and or goes faster than 15.5 mph you’ll have to use it off-road in Canada the motor siiz cap is 500 WS with a top speed of 20 mph in America the mot cap is 750 wats with

Varying ebike classes for speeds of up to 28 mph throttles are legal in America that’s so unfair so the key message here is check your country’s ebike laws and regulations before you buy because it really varies and I’ll be here all day otherwise so we ship all across the

World so we do cater for all all right on to bike number one first up is the heo c3r max if you’re a commuter looking for a roadie bike with a sporty setup so you can get your head down and hit those top speeds then keep watching obvious

One to start with but heo have done a great job in making this bike look super sleek and a bit of a cover ebike thank to a welld disguised battery in line with EU regulations the 250 W Motor will assist you up to 15.5 mph but to push

Past that you need to be using your own Pedal Power the aerodynamic design and nine-speed Shimano gears means you can switch into your preferred Cadence with whatever terrain the roads throw at you and the 42 Newt meters of torque that the motor can deliver is a good amount

To help you up inclines the max is a slightly weigher Roadie bike at 18.5 kg but because of its sub 1K price tag liting materials are just harder to factor in the pedalist is how however is much more sophisticated heemo has included a torque sensor so the more

Pressure you put down on the pedal the more assist the motor will give you this in turn makes the assist feel very natural for a sub 1K bike you naturally expect a Cadence Sensor which is more basic and instead gives you a programmed amount of assist depending on what level

Assist you’re on speaking of which the Hemo C30 Max has three levels of assist you can also keep track of your speed and trip distance too range claim according to heemo is 120 km but looking at the batter’s capacity and your own reviews The Real World Range seems to be

More like 50 km you can work this out to get a very general Real World Range by timesing the voltage by the amp hour to get the wat hours by these calculations this pack would in theory provide 36 km of range or 22 mil from a full 100% charge obviously this is very

Generalized the actual range really varies depending on how you use it what terrain you’re riding on how heavy you are so before all you Engineers come at me please take this with a big pinch of salt there’s actually a great guide by ebike kit that explains all of this so

I’ll drop a link down below the battery on the Hemo is removable so this is a very handy feature if you need to be charging on the go and makes it less of a target for opportunist thieves if you take that precious power with you to

Find out more and to check out the latest pricing then head on down to the description below and click the Link next up is the angry engine X angry has proven to be a very popular ebike brand with you lot at home they offer a comprehensive range of two wheelers at a great price point to bring the joy of your rides to the masses the engine X is

Particularly appealing for any of you heavier Riders thanks to its generous Max ride aweight capacity it’s fat tired powerful and Uber comfortable to ride and it’s functional too so this is basically for most of us the powerful Hub motor delivers up to 55 newon meters of torque meaning heavier Riders aren’t

Left Behind inclines are easier to climb and standing starts are effortless the engine X also comes with full suspension plus those 20x 4 in tires makes a dreamy combination that Smooths out the terrain under wheel delivers decent traction and gives you the confidence to tackle varying terrain to add this ebike also

Has seven-speed Shimano gears the LCD color display is nice and bright and tells you everything that you need to know and the handlebars you may notice are actually smaller in width than standard this makes it great for squeezing through standstill congestion the engine X does come with a throttle

So to be very clear this is not legal for EU and UK markets if you want to ride this in said territories you’ll need to keep it Offroad or disconnect it allog together for all of you in America however this is an an issue make sure to check ebike legalities in your country

Before you buy range claim for the enu is 120 km for the 13 a battery but looking at the spec the battery capacity looks to deliver around 63 km if you want to know how I work that out then make sure to jump to this time code

Right here the range will of course vary if you use a throttle alone or you just pedal plus ride a weight terrain that you’re on climate temperature etc etc etc the battery is also removable and for those of you who have limited storage space it also folds up included

Are a bright headlight and tail light as well as mud guards and a rear rack so no need to worry about buying extras it’s all in one price tag but that does result in it weighing a hefty 31.7 kg so for the love of God if you need to carry

Your Eide upstairs this is not a good choice for you for the most up-to-date pricing and to find out more make sure to head on down to the description below third on our list today is another angry Banger for those of you who are looking to Ride Like the boss man or

Woman or woman that you are this Mighty 750 W Cruiser ebike is nothing short of powerful the M20 is a very goodlooking competitor to the usual Fat Tire cruises and for the price point is hard to ignore top speed for the M20 is 28 mph thanks to the delivery of a Punchy 55

Newton meters of torque the max 1,000 Watt peak output is even enough for this bike to pull this Geyer’s camper van watch me attempt something similar in this video right here Max Rider weight is 120 kg with a rider height that caters nearly to all between 5T to 6’8

If you want a bike that can take up to 150 kg then skip back one in this list front and rear disc brakes are fitted plus a jaw shock system to soak up bumps ahead and keep you cushioned as you ride and if you get caught out adventuring

When the Sun goes down the Dual LED light will guide the way with its long range so you don’t get stuck Ang we claims 75 km max range with a single battery as most ebikes range claims factors in this will be on the lowest power setting with a lightweight Rider

So keep this in mind to find out the latest pricing and Peru your options then head on down to the description below next up is the Emu Rome step through great for anybody on a budget looking for a cute looking Dutch style ride that has all the extras you need

For commuting weekend outings and carrying extra cargo there are two battery options available but I’ll be talking about the smaller 10.4 amp power version to keep it in budget I’ve rid this ebike a fair bit and from experience it’s a really versatile option it includes a rear rack a

Puncture resistant tires mud guards and integrated front and rear lights meaning no need for souring extra bits although the range claim is less than emu States on flat London Road cycling at level five assist I found it to cover a decent cycle of around 25 miles so this is

Something to bear in mind the enviolo gearhub is a favorite of mine on this Pike as unlike your standard shifting gears that give a definitive click this is based on friction and gives you the ability to make micro adjustments to the resistance fine-tuning your Cadence fitted with a Cadence Sensor the assist

Is less sophisticated than other ebikes in our store but is a welcome boost when you have added cargo on the rear and diminishes the fact that you are riding a 24 kg bike now look 24 kg isn’t light but I’ve managed to carry up three

Flights of stairs to get up to my flat however if you need a bike that you can lift I would swerve you away from this one and maybe you should look at some other lightweight options that we do have available overall it’s a very comfortable bike with kushy Vell grips

And saddle despite it being just under Β£1,000 emu has made sure to include those extra plush features that will mean longevity in the saddle and it’s convenient with its step through frame and removable battery if you’d like to find out more on the latest pricing then I’ll drop a link down Below next up on my list is a compact folding ebike from one of my favorite Brands this is the Ado 16 plus this is a full suspension 16-in wheel Ride Now bearing in mind the my Riders cost a few th and have just rear suspension this 16

Plus is a very competitive option it’s not as lightweight as the my Riders at 21 kg so depending on how strong you are this could be a touch heavy to be seen as a multimodal ebike if you have limited storage space but don’t want to compromise on comfort then this takes a

Lot of boxes perhaps you live on a narrow boat or have a camper van this is a compact two wheeler that can take on much rougher ground it comes with all the good stuff Shimano 7speed gears a removable battery for Easy charging a bright front and rear light plus LCD

Color display the 250 W Motor can punch out a decent 37 newm of torque to help you climb those gradients and carry a Max Rider we of 120 kg it has a Cadence Sensor so it will deliver a programmed amount of boost depending on what level you select which compared to a torque

Sensor is arguably better for Hills like the price tag the range isn’t huge ad claim a 70 km range but by my loose calculations it looks to be more like 30 km or so on one charge again this all depends on what level of assist you’re

In how heavy you are what terrain you’re on etc etc but it’s fair to say this is a compact bike with what will be regarded as more of a compact battery size adio has a whole range of awesome e- rides available from a 20-in folder

To a 28 in Dutch style bike to a fat tired Beast I love them all they aren’t under 1K but it’s definitely worth a look on our website I’ll drop a link in the description down below where you can find more about the a16 plus and its latest Pricing next up is the angry l20 a cargo and step design that is tailored for comfort and utility whilst also not compromising the ability to push further and onto off-road terrain it’s basically a soup up Dutch style bike which are incredibly popular around the globe but electrified with mega tires so if the

Emu roam step through I mentioned earlier wasn’t quite beefy enough for you the l20 could hit the spot similarly to the other angoe bikes you get Shimano 7-speed gears disc brakes a mega 250 W brushes motor that can punch out 50 Newton met of torque I mean look at it it is huge

Plus plus it’s got some delicious suspension at the front and Ergo handles to spread your weight through your hands reducing wrist strain from a longer ride this is a great setup for an ebike companion perfect for cruising around town it feels steady and secure to ride and potholes and cobbles are eaten up

And if you need to lock up to go grab some shopping you can take the battery with you but what about range angry claims a Max mileage of 140 kg realistically looking at the voltage and and power I’d Hazard a very rough estimate more towards 60 to 70 km

Depending on terrain ride we usage etc etc the sensor is basic but after a couple of pedals it will wake up the motor and kick out that assist to send you up to 15.5 mph this bike is all about the chunk weighing in at a mighty

34 kg and caters to a rider height of between 5 to 6t angui has very kindly added a handle in the middle of the frame but honestly it’s just too heavy to lift the rear is dense in part thanks to that beastly motor if you want to

Know more about the latest pricing and peruse the vibrant color choices then I’ll drop a link down in the description Below by the way guys whilst you’re here if you are enjoying this video and you’re finding it at all useful then please make sure to give it a big fat thumbs up so we can get this video out to more people who need to know this information and get everybody on

Affordable e- rides back to the video last and certainly not least it’s another angry but compacted say hello to the T14 hello te for tiny but packed with seven bump absorb through the front middle rear and under the seat so although this ebike might look rigid

It’s got the cushioning I tested it over the cobbles outside our studio and it was genuinely the best feel out of all of these bikes I know I’m as surpris as you are the wheels are what I’d argue to be the absolute smallest you want to go

On a bike so much so I’d say it actually starts to move this ebike into the blood lines between ebike and ecooter they’re the same picture the smaller Dimensions warrant this as a sort of seated electric scooter that you could use with the fro for a no sweat cushioned ride

When I was in LA I saw so many people riding these smaller throttle driven e bikes this is a good swap in if you’ve got a shorter distance to go and want the independence to move freely from door to door without say a bus or a train however if you’re in a country

Where a throttle is illegal to use on public roads you can disengage it but I will be honest pedling alone it is slow it goes up to about 7 mph as you can see here I’m also 5 for 10 and my knees were knocking the start key that needs to

Stay in the slot for the bike to be powered it’s not very comfortable to Pedal this is an e scooter disguised as an ebike now as per you get 250 W Motor with a smaller 30 newm of torque output but it feels powerful as you turn the throttle pedaling alone it takes a

Couple of pedals before the motor wakes up and is not quick as you can see here the display is very basic the T14 although small is another weight of your bike at 22.7 kg so although it can fold and is Handy for storage it’s really pushing it in terms of weight for what

You would label as portable for a little bit more money you could get an ado2 which has bigger wheels and weighs in 18 kg you can check out my in-depth review of the 20 by clicking the link above or in fact the flow District 5 takes a lot

Of the compact comfy boxes which is at a mad price on our website right now but look I’m just spitballing options for you I’ll drop a link it’s worth a look check it out range is actually also looking pretty reasonable for the T14 around 48 km by my loose workings out of

The voltage and amp hours Ang G state 55 km on Pas mode so this isn’t far off from their claims charge time is 6 to8 hours and is easy as pie with the removable battery if you’re still here by the way then you should absolutely hit that subscribe button we release

Electric bike content every single week so do it and look I know there’s a lot of ebike Brands out there and it can be really hard to decide on one particularly when it’s such an important purchase like this that really could change your life it could change the way

You move commute leave the car at home and get you outside in the fresh air so make sure you get it right drop me a question below if you have one and I’ll do my best to answer them until next time I’ll your Heads

    1. Do you have to say you'll drop a link down below for every bike you talk about?
We get it. Just say it once at the start and get on with the reviews. People know to look in video descriptions.

    2. I can understand having a speed limit, but having a power limit and banning throttles doesn’t make much sense to me. Can anyone make a sensible argument for this?

    3. WHY do they limit wattage? I understand speed, but why watts? What if you're heavy? What if you're going up a hill? Wind? It doesn't make any sense AND it makes ebikes more dangerous as vehicles can't assume the capabilities of them with varying acceleration from standstill etc. Classic case of 'it sounds good on paper' but actually has 100% the opposite real world effect.

    4. It's not illegal for an e-bike to have a throttle on an e-bike in the U.K. if it assists the rider without pedalling at a maximum of 6km/h (3.7 mph). Also the Engine-X does not have a colour display and it was a bit misleading showing a colour display and an 8 speed gear change (possibly from an Engine Pro) in the video while correctly saying that it has a 7 speed one.

    5. Hi, another vid concerning the legality of the throttle, it is not I repeat not illegal in the uk.
Whisper e-bikes have had throttles on numerous models for a while, and they are legal , you go through a system that gives the bike a mot and legally allows you to use the throttle , there are vids on YouTube telling you so. Surely a vid on this matter with consultation with the powers that be would be a huge help to those that are not aware of this, thanks.

    6. One style of bike you haven't covered yet is the E cargo bike .
There is only so much you can carry in a rucksack if you go to tescos, and a trailer isn't everyones cup of tea.
Would love the channel to feature a bike you could use for shopping or carrying tools , pots of paint for work .

    7. 99% of all the questions and discussions are about legality. πŸ˜‚

Is there are away to make the engwe M20 legal without compromising on speed, power and performance? I would buy this tomorrow if there was a work around to insure as light powered motorised vehicle.

    8. The video clip shows the Engwe Engine Pro, but the verbal description is really the Engwe Engine X. The Engine X does come with a throttle component, but it is disabled by default. If it is enabled, It can be functioned as push assistant which can acclerate up to 2.5mph (don't know why it is not 3.7mph), which is road-legal in the EU or the UK, or become a real throttle, which is not road-legal in the EU or the UK.

    9. I notice you review cars, bikes, and more.
I wonder is there any E-Racing in your area?

Over here we have a lot of E-Racing and more developing state to state, I think France also has this kinda thing happening.
I wonder if there are any E-leagues in your area and if so would they let you drive or maybe showcase a little of the sport side of these vehicles.

I think it could be neat to showcase the competition that evolves and tends to end up in things like our bikes and more.
I know over here we have E-racing with cars, bikes, euc's, esk8, scooters, and I'm sure other things.
Maybe we can see the electroheads go on a Formula-E vacation to help educate us. :)*
