Hi and welcome to WannaGoBiking. My name is Arjan and it is time for a new Bikepacking Adventure! In June ’23 Peter-Jan and I started cycling from Folkestone towards Wales. It was a fun and beautiful ride along the south coast, Isle of Wight , New Forest, Bath and Bristol. My subsequent plan is to cycle in Wales for another week or so, but that’s from episode 9 onwards.
In this sixth episode we leave the New Forest and ride along the beach to the Old Harry Rocks and the spectacular Jurassic coast.

so hi good morning from The New Forest in in the south of England so Peter-Jan and I are going to go and leave the New Forest and leave Jens over there was very nice chatting up with him and and the boys and Becky last night
So yeah it was a good to be back here but now today we’re going to ride towards Dorchester via the Jurassic Coast so that’s a plan for today but now of course for the news you’ve all been waiting for, the weather : well we see some dinos – Dinos?- and western wind

Way towards the Seaside I hope and take a little break over there so that should be fun all right hello, can we have two tickets please? two bikes,no just a single well this has got to be the noisiest ferry ever, my word
So I’m not sure if you can spot it but over there is where we are heading for now I believe they’re called Old Harry’s rock or rocks and then we will head down over to Durdle Door that should be hopefully the highlight of the day if we can reach it
Cuz it my might be a very long walk for us with our bikes so not sure yet but uh this at least already a nice Outlook so let’s see if we can have an equal nice outlook on the Old Harry’s rocks as well when we get there ice creams rule !
Corfe Castle, wow well though we had a nice look at Corfe Castle, it would seem that our route in fact  is closed for the day so that means quite a bit of a detour near accident over there, wow you got to love camper vans right?
Uh yeah that’s very unfortunate, so looks like we are going to be taking a a much busier road now so I’m not not looking forward to that at all but it’s what it is well we are hoping to be able to reconnect to our route via what is it called? Lullworth or something
So here is the firing range and I can’t really tell if we are allowed to cross over but I see many cars heading that way now so fingers crossed we can, actually because otherwise it’s going to be towards Wool over a very busy main road yet again not something we are looking forward to
Right, it seems we can pass through so happy days, up to Durdle Door right that’s it from us from the Jurassic coast and the  first drops of rain have fallen as well so we will be on our way to Dorchester see you later wow, that looks like a very old church
feisty little climb tough one Durdle Door beach and car park closed. oh dear that’s not good well that’s a shame, wanted to have a closer look at Durdle Door Dorchester 10 all right 10 miles
Right we’re about 10K or 10 miles away I should say from Dorchester our destination for today  and uh yeah it’s been an absolute cracking day the weather has turned a little bit on  us but we actually stayed dry so tomorrow is supposed to be raining so we have to see Â
Tomorrow morning what the weather really is going to be uh I’m not going to rely on  Peter-Jan cuz yeah it’s not really trustworthy is it? We will be heading towards Bath, that that is a definite but yeah the means of transportation to Bath remains to be seen
