Izi’s close to escaping The Kitchen, one of London’s last remaining housing estates. But when young Benji enters his life, he faces some hard decisions.

Good morning. It’s the Lord Kitchener, live and direct. -I’m getting out of this place. -It’s our home. Shit gets real, I’m saving myself. -So where do you live? -Kitchen. Is it really like what they say it’s like? Yeah. You ain’t safe by yourself. What’s your name? You ain’t built like them.

I haven’t got anywhere else to go. What’s he to you? -A friend of mine. -Some friend. We gotta go. What’s happening? Wanted to know what it’s like, right? This is war. I wish my dad prepared me. My mum, she said you never loved her… but you would have loved me.

    1. Sadly it looks like it was written by racists, because apparently in the future only black people are down trodden and live in despair.
Even having great actors in it, I'll pass.

    2. Now honestly, this is one of the rare moments where I watch the whole movie without doing anything else. Usually, I grab my phone and do something with it/just scrolling, or pay too much attention on eating something (if you know what I mean). But this time… I couldn't take my eyes off the screen, seriously. And this is even with the pace of the film and action being comparably slow and "relaxed". WOW, I loved it! The vibe, the sound of the movie, the picture! I get why it has 4,9/10 IMDb, people outline the simplicity of the storyline and other things (which are pretty understandable complaints). But for me personally, this was almost ideal combination of components and the movie really nit the spot. I am not a fan of such endings, but this one deserves it. Can't wait for the sequel!
