    Welcome back to the channel guys today joined us at Huddersfield Golf Club where we’re going to be testing the foot wedge that we bought off AliExpress and we found the perfect goal for D yeah what’s your handicap again d uh my index is 21 however uh I was hit by a car

    Cycling known back in May um I had a 3% chance of surviving the accident as I have massive catalog of injuries yeah um I’ve just recently been cleared to start hitting again but I found that I’m doing a reverse pivot and I’m Spinning Out my back foot cuz obviously I can’t turn how

    I used to turn so having a bit more of a deeper discussion with Ds what we’ve discovered is is is he started with swaying into his back swing so all his weight were moving onto your right leg Yeah your head was moving behind the ball you were swaying and what you did

    To try and correct that and a lot of you guys will have done this at home you kind of Stack you went on your front leg didn’t you and you went and tried to stop that weight swaying by stacking it here so as you turn your your spine was

    Actually reverse pivoting yeah so this wedge is absolutely perfect for somebody that sways into the back swing because we’ll get you know if you’re trying to let’s let’s use an allery if you’re trying to throw a golf ball as far as you can that way you wouldn’t try and

    Start with a weight on your front leg and just go like that would you no I mean my background’s Rugby uh 20 years of Rugby Union I’d step into my front foot then i’ pass the ball if you were trying to throw you go off you’d like

    Catapult and then go forward and that’s what this is great for it’s great for getting you pressing that weight in your right side of your body but you’re not gonna you wouldn’t go like that and then throw the ball no I mean I think I think

    A lot of it is is because of my injuries um I’ve only just started hitting again yeah and my body’s trying to protect itself so I was all arms all upper body yeah all hands when I hit before whereas now I have to learn to turn through

    Let’s get into this let’s show you how this foot wedge can help somebody cure a sway and also cure reverse pivoting yeah so just before I show Daz and yourself how to use this foot wedge I want you to just hit a ball Daz we’re going to put

    It into into slow motion and show the subscribers at home how your weight’s actually transferring or whether it is transferring I think from what I’ve seen in do just hting a couple of balls it looks to me like you’re really stacking away on your front leg Yeah so just uh

    Hit a ball for us I’ve absolutely middled that so we’ve been a broken clocks right twice but I think you’d probably be able to see you know when we slow that down there that as Daz went back his back leg completely straightened so that were telling me straight away that your spine

    Had reversed and you weren’t you weren’t loading into that back leg very well no definitely not so we put this wedge down on the mat it’s going to be in fact we better get you stood into a a position of hit and and I’ll put it where it

    Should be so if you just set up that ball got to be in the somewh around on the radar that’s it so just open your feet up so you’re happy and I’m going to wedge this underneath your back foot so just just there like that so that’s going to give

    You a sense now of something that you’re going to push off against something to turn into something to turn into exactly so what I want you to do is um turn up to the top of your back swing keeping some Flex in this knee as you turn back

    And pushing down into that right leg that’s good and I want you to feel your stretch behind the ball so your left cheek is stretching it’s on the back of the ball so his head’s not swaying it’s going to you that’s keeping your your pivot but you’re pushing down into that

    Right leg and making sure it doesn’t straight and one more just start again from the beginning so push down into your right leg and keep your left cheek glued on the back of the ball and feel this body stretch underneath that so can you feel the stretch here definitely a

    Little bit keep that a little bit more Flex there that’s better excellent good one more practice I’m going to try and hit one excellent so feel that stretch now when you go through the ball it’s really important that you don’t let your head move forward so you keep that left cheek

    On the back of the ball and then you push into that front leg that’s going to help you get that more downwards and descending blow yeah oh now don’t worry about the result yet yeah first things first I think you might have felt like you went back and

    Then you went forward more yeah so they a little bit more you weren’t as static yeah that’s the feeling that I would imagine you’ll get yeah I felt like I felt like I getting launched that way yeah so keep me we in that foot yeah well done that looked a great turn

    I’m watching that back leg then and you kept some flexing your back legs that I knew straight away you not reverse pivoted yeah I kept the flex in the leg and uh probably a touch skinny but it don’t matter going to be a progression but I

    Think the main thing is now is you feel like as you move into that back swing you’re pushing against that wedge you’ve got that feeling you got something there to push into keep that knee flexed and feel that stretch you get your left cheek behind the ball so you’re making sure that you

    Transfer that way into your right side good I can see a good stretch and turn as you go back there just going to keep an eye on your spine angle oh that was fat but no that’s a good bad shot you know that will happen because your swing Center is more allow

    To move off the ball a little bit because you’re trying to push into that right leg I think I got a little bit my body just got a little bit confused with what we’re trying to do cuz it’s totally different to a normal swing you got to

    Remember guys you know this is very very early stages of training for d but this you know should set him up to really start crunching the ball oh that but strike wise and finish you know you completed your finish really well you’ve turned well I think it’s just me

    Still turning like that over it now the real test will be we’ve actually got something a little bit better than that wedge in our training kit obviously these cost absolutely fortunes guys it’s not something you can really have at home um but this is going to test you now to see

    Whether after just a few shots did I tell you we’re involved in cycing accident so just step on there for us whoa you can’t really hit a ball with this but I want you to swing to the top of your back swing for me so what’s what should you be doing

    With that right leg keeping flexing it now start from the beginning when your feet together and you should be pushing that if you’re pushing pressure inide right leg that you should be able to slide to the end of that board that’s it you’re a big strong lad that’s better I

    Was trying to keep my feet together yeah that’s the amount of sort of pressure you should be feeling oh I was trying to keep it as it is instead of turning it away okay so turn back push does that give you more of a sensation how much pressure you should be pushing yeah

    Definitely so and do you feel like you’re probably not putting that amount of push and pressure down into the floor on the way back I’m put nowhere near that no I’m trying to trying to keep like perfectly in the middle instead of pushing away so let’s take that board away put the wedge

    Back and with that sort of sensation now of a feeling of how much pressure you should be putting into that right leg let’s see that and the wedge together if you can uh just move it into position so yeah so so it’s definitely more of that that’s it

    Good oh that’s a monster I think the hardest thing is because I’m reverse pivoting yeah you get it in your head that you’ve got to keep that side yeah and obviously then you just do that it’s it’s almost counter counterproductive to want to push away when you’re already

    Reverse pivoting yeah but a reverse pivot comes from not pushing away a reverse pivot comes from your weight staying on your left side of your body like this so This pushing away is definitely going to help correct that but this also comes down to the problem

    Of us trying to self diagnose our own problems when we don’t know the GOL SN yeah and completely right you’re not the only person to ever go from sway to a reverse pivot because it’s it’s for me when I weren’t a golf coach it would have made sense stack the way on the

    Front like stop yourself swaying but then you cause a different problem it’s still just you’re not swinging like a guy who’s just being in a bike accident and should have been dead uh I’m not going to lie it’s starting to wake a little bit but it’s I think it’s

    Because I’m just a little bit confused with the all I need to do it so I’m trying to override it just through ug DA’s former name with tin up it goes for everything right so try and do a little bit more controlled so let that coil build up that’s

    Better that were a better Tempo look at result take that with a 79 you know if you’re really going to try and get this coil guys and get your pressure and and turn into that back it’s got to be built up it’s got to be timed you know it felt

    Like all I had to do were relax on that one as opposed to my previous shots which we trying to hit through it so guys that was the foot wedge off Ali Express I’ll putp the link in the description I think it will actually I’ll put that in the golf bag honestly

    You can take this we not a problem um I think it’ll be great for you to practice give you that sensation of pushing into that right like keeping that Flex um and not sort of you’re not going to sway if you keep your left cheek on the back of

    The back edge of the ball that’s going to stop you from swaying yeah it’s just when people push into the back leg and forget about their upper body here or your head turns and your cheeks no longer against the ball and I think the big thing you know forz take away from

    Us and you guys as well is you’ve got to take good Tempo in that back start your swinging good Tempo and give yourself chance to feel that pressure turning and coiling and set yourself nicely into your back swing if you swing too fast and I’ve done it before you you know you

    Don’t have time to do any of that like you said you you just kind of rush through it don’t you that last one were a lot easier to time whereas the others I felt like I didn’t know where I was I was trying to just basically throw me

    Arms at it and try and hit it whereas that last one I felt like I could let the coil go and I could just relax and I mean under 82 yards what what D can certainly hit it yeah um so yeah thanks for that today thanks a lot
