On August 8th 1985 the newspaper headlines read suicide girl kills Twins and parents it seemed like a plot from an intense movie but this time it was real happening to the Bamber family in Essex my father’s phone from White House Farm and he sounded really frightened he

Says my my sister’s gone crazy and she’s got a gun the previous day the police had been waiting outside the White House Farm ready to go in the officer stood on the threshold knowing that what they were about to discover would change everything for the Bamber family there

Were five people in the house and one of them had allegedly gone crazy with a gun time seemed to stretch as they called out for 28-year-old Sheila Bamber but there was no answer Sheila we only want to help you I know you haven’t been feeling very well do you want to talk to

Me about it who was Sheila Bamber what was was happening inside the house welcome to M7 Crime Story Time where we cover solved unsolved and twisted cases from across the world today we’re looking at the Twisted case of White House Farm murders along the road to Essex there

Was tolls hunt also known as the village of plow and saale the people there depended on both the land and the Sea for a long time relying on Bountiful harvests there was a mix of traditional weatherboard houses and newer Bungalows which slowly faded away making room for

Vast Fields stretching as far as your eye can see to the South a breathtaking view of the Blackwater Estuary awaited with a wild expanse of salt marshes tidle mud flats and Scattered Islands creating a unique and picturesque landscape in 1985 there were hardly 350 people living in that

Area despite being being just an hour’s drive from bustling London Tes hunt felt like a completely different world offering a peaceful Escape surrounded by Nature’s Beauty and that’s where this case begins in that small village of tols hunt Darcy and essic there lived a man named Neville Bamber with a background

As a farmer a former Royal Air Force pilot and even a local magistrate at the Witham magistrates Court Neville was a towering figure standing at an impressive of 6′ 4 in the real story starts when Neville met June Speakman a wireless operator Neville a strong and healthy man was

Charmed by June they fell in love and got married on September 3rd 1949 two years later they moved to the Georgian White House Farm on PA’s Lane which used to belong to jun’s father and was surrounded by 300 acres of Farmland June transformed the neglected Farmhouse into a warm and inviting home Neville

And June got married and moved to a good neighborhood they wanted kids but couldn’t have their own June kept getting sadder with time in 1955 she had a mental breakdown and needed psychiatric help a surgery showed that June couldn’t have kids because of a cyst on her ovaries the Bamber couple couldn’t have

Children but they found another way to become parents by adopting in October 1957 they adopted a baby girl named Sheila Jean cfle Sheila’s birthfather Eric Jay was a senior chaplain even though Eric Jay wanted Sheila to be adopted she ended up with caring parents the bamers June believed that adopting a

Baby Sheila would bring joy but her struggles persisted in the post-war era marked by grief June who had worked before faced insecurity despite having a baby Sheila she felt that nothing truly belonged to her often expressing everything I’ve had has been someone else meanwhile little Sheila played with her

Toys and sought attention but June couldn’t take care of her because she was unwell June’s Health got worse and she had to go to a big hospital for treatment where she had six sessions of electroshock therapy when June came back things looked okay in 1961 the bamers adopted

Six-month-old Jeremy his mom a student midwife had him with a married army Sergeant when Jeremy was 6 weeks old his mom gave him to the Church of England children’s Society Neville and June happily welcomed Jeremy as their second child into their family as a kid Sheila was sensitive and

Spontaneous she was the awkward one while her brother was a sweet talker June and Neville decided to inform their kids that they were adopted when both of them were around 7 to 9 years old as a result Jeremy became a people pleaser and Sheila craved more attention and

Love while the Bamber couple had everything they would need to survive Food House wealth good connections they didn’t have what their kids needed physical affection Shea wanted to be hugged and cuddled more often but in their own ways her parents were struggling too they sent Jeremy and

Sheila to molden court prep school but Jeremy was sent to gram School in Norfolk he got a boarding school life but he also got some bad memories that would haunt him for years to come he faced bullying because he was an adopted kid and the boys also assaulted him there so he finally

Decided to quit Sheila and Jeremy never connected that well but she was protective of her little brother and he was proud of his sister they used to argue frequently and not like siblings usually do but Sheila was the only family member Jeremy liked to talk about he’d bring newspaper

Clippings of her modeling pictures to school and show off Sheila did a secretarial course learned to be a hairdresser and even tried modeling with the Lucy Clayton agency would send her to Tokyo for 2 months as a teenager Sheila became a big problem for her mom at 18 she found out

She was pregnant with Colin cfle the bamers arranged for an abortion but there were tensions in the family one day June saw Sheila and Colin sunbathing and things got worse June called Sheila the Devil’s Child and Sheila felt her own mom was saying she was bad blood

From that day Sheila was afraid of her mother fast forward to 1977 Sheila married Colin after getting pregnant again but she couldn’t have that baby as well she’d miscarried again the bamers supported the couple with a flatten Hamstead Sheila faced yet another miscarriage but on June 22nd 1979 after

4 months of bed rest she delivered twin boys Nicholas and Daniel however the fairy tale love story was receiving a reality check by now Colin had started seeing another woman named named Jen Sheila heartbroken even smashed a window with her fist after Colin walked out on her 21st birthday party with

Jen in 1982 Sheila decided to end her marriage with Colin during this time jun’s mental health problems were getting worse while other parents focused on giving their children a good home and education June who was very religious tried to force her beliefs on her kids and grandkids Sheila felt

Disapproved of by her mother causing strain in their relationship Jeremy’s connection with his mother was so troubled that he stopped talking to her after all this June had to seek treatment from a psychiatrist named Hugh Ferguson meanwhile as June was struggling some other stories were quickly moving on in 1983 Jerry met

Julie mugford a student at Goldsmith College in London and they began a relationship which resulted in him distancing from his mother even more Jeremy would eventually propose to Julie in 198 before but before anything celebratory Could Happen tragedy was looming just around the corner despite the struggle during these

Times the family kept in touch and visited each other occasionally on Sunday August 4th 1985 Sheila and her kids landed at White House Farm to spend a week with Neville and June everything seemed all smiles and happiness but odd things started happening someone had carved the words I

Hate this place Place into the cupboard doors where the Twins were catching some sleep on the evening of Tuesday August 6th 1985 Jeremy paid a visit to the farm this family reunion was much needed because even though the Bamber family seemed happy and composed on the surface there were many cracks in their

Relationship however this would turn out to be the last time they’d be together in the early hours of August 7th 1985 just before 3:30 a.m. Jeremy Bamber dialed the police in a state of panic Jeremy shared that his father had called him reporting that Sheila had

Gone crazy with a gun officers rushed to White House Farm when they reached there they couldn’t just barge into the house there were rules to follow the stakes were high there were only two situations the police could think of either they were going to find five dead bodies or four

Dead and a lady with a gun in the midst of this Sergeant Douglas Adams and his team initially on a regular surveillance Mission caught wind of a potential Firearms incident at tolls hunt Darcy Chief superintendent George Harris divisional Commander for chelsford police gave them the green light to grab

Their weapons and head to the farm officer bus handed Jeremy a clipboard paper and Pen urging him to sketch a floor plan of the house and list any weapons and ammunition as the clock ticked at 4:22 a.m. two cars rolled in ca5 with constable Robin norup and Paul krnel and

Cao6 with constables Alan Bachelor and Robert lay officer bus briefed the squad handing over Jeremy’s floor plan to the officers Jeremy mentioned that they kept a loaded gun around just in case a fox popped into the garden he also recalled hearing a rabbit last night when he was

With his family he’ loaded the gun but didn’t fire it so there were plenty of chances that Sheila had access to guns officers Collins and Del G stepped up with a loud hailer attempting to communicate with Sheila for 2 hours however the only replies were the Frantic yapping of the dogs crispy and

Bruce from inside the house Sergeant Adams could not just sit back he called in more armed support and even got the general post office GOP involved asking them to keep an ear on The Farmhouse kitchen telephone the clock ticked and at 5:40 a.m. Jean row on the BT switchboard

Trying to listen in caught a faint but clear sound there had been a light movement from within the room the armed officers were organized into two groups under officer Adams guidance one group geared up to storm the house while the other focused on maintaining containment officer Montgomery took charge of the ladder strategically

Placing his team around the grounds for maximum cover when the raid team was ready to make their move as the day slowly broke the raid team geared up to enter the house at 7:34 a.m. five knocks were made on the door a last attempt to see if anyone would answer but the house

Remained motionless dead silent in the midst of all this Jeremy’s emotions were a roller coaster at times he seemed relatively calm discussing dreams of acquiring a 38,000 lb Porsche a car he considered a dream gift from his dad yet there were moments when he appeared on the verge of tears

Whispering oh God I hope she hasn’t done anything stupid at 7:45 a.m. the team finally stepped into the house what awaited them inside were the horrors beyond the spookiest movie it looked like a massacre had happened there Neville Bamber 61 years old was found contorted in an almost

Impossible position next to the kitchen stove he was Bare from the waist to the knee his right foot caught in his pajama bottoms a fallen chair lay trapped beneath them and there were signs of beatings and seven gunshot wounds marked his body as they moved through the house

Wondering if they’d find anyone alive Hall one of the officers suddenly heard something above them fearful of facing Sheila with a gun he called out acting Sergeant Timothy milen Hall entered through the back door just as officer Collins used a mirror to assess the area before they ascended the

Stairs upstairs they did not find Sheila just yet but there was a dead body 61-year-old Jun was found collapsed against the the master bedroom door and bore a gunshot wound between her eyes the once elegant brass bed had bloodstained pillows with two bullets lodged in it for the officers every

Single moment felt like Sheila might appear with a gun and Let it Loose and then they heard a whimper from under the bed when the officers bent to look down they didn’t know what they were going to find in there they heed a side relief when they found jun’s little brown and

White dog trembling with Terror to protect the crime scene the traumatized pop was placed inside the main wardrobe and then they finally spotted the one who they were dreading to find Sheila she lay on the floor two bullet wounds to her throat the rifle rested on her body its Barrel against

Her jaw blood had pulled in her mouth dried on her face and stained her night dress in arms beside her lay a pair of blue socks stained with blood and by her shoulder rested jun’s Bible its Pages fanned open on the carpet The Raid team checked the

Box room before retracing their steps to The Landing a quick search of Sheila’s room revealed a mix of disheveled beds scattered cosmetics and a box of tacks casually lying on the counterpane the other officers were checking the rest of the house and they found their first locked door labeled

Jeremy’s room it piqued their curiosity but they turned to the opposite room where the six-year-old twin stayed no matter the years of experience no officer was ready for the sight they were about to see Daniel curled up with his thumb in his mouth appeared to sleep however a closer look revealed nearly invisible

Gunshot wounds beneath his thick hair on the other side beside a black and white toy dog was Nicholas lying on his back with three bullet wounds to his face the officers despite the professionalism couldn’t help but be overwhelmed in the doorway officer Woodcock eventually unlocked Jeremy’s door and found a mix

Of boxes bags old suitcases and magazines scattered on every surface even on the narrow bed as officer bus returned to Pa’s Lane he found Jeremy behind a police car smoking a cigarette with a heavy heart he said I’m afraid it’s bad news they’ve all been shot Jeremy momentarily stunned asked

For confirmation and upon hearing the reality he began to cry a flurry of calls went out from the scene of the crime to officers senior divisional CID officers the Corner’s office and the police surgeon the case was deemed as murder suicide but inspector Montgomery noted some inconsistencies the dried blood escaping

From Sheila’s mouth and the pattern of blood on her right side puzzled him on how she could have shot herself a rather unusual observation also stood out everyone noticed how remarkably clean her feet were both on top and underneath if she’d overpowered her father Neville her feet couldn’t have

Been that clean at all even if she’d been wearing some Footwear which was discarded later there was no situation in which your feet would look like that as the Firearms units made their way back to Chelmsford they knew that the only people that will ever know the

Truth are the five in the farm whatever was going to happen in the case after that was just going to be a conjecture at 8:25 a.m. Dr Ian Craig a police surgeon familiar with the bamers arrived after conferring with Chief superintendent Harris he confirmed the murder scenario inside The Farmhouse kitchen Dr

Craig studied Neville’s lifeless body he said that Neville must have been immobilized first certifying death at 8:40 a.m. he then ascended the stairs a glance at the Fatal gunshot wound to jun’s forehead struck him moving to Sheila’s body he noted the quantity of dried blood from her mouth

Seeing only one gunshot wound at that stage he leaned toward the conclusion that she’d taken her own life Dr Craig pronounced both women dead at 8:44 a.m. and the twins at 8:50 a.m. which was odd again how is it possible that Sheila shot herself first and then killed her

Kids The Farmhouse held the weight of a tragedy that unfolded in the quiet hours of that fateful morning and nobody had any answer the autopsy procedure was led by pathologist Peter Venus Neville the father bore the brunt of eight gunshot wounds six to his head and face fired at close range just

Inches from his skin and the remaining shots from at least 2 ft away obviously the killer had been frustrated empty cartridge cases scattered three in the kitchen and one on the stairs highlighted A desperate attempt to escape upstairs only to face further torture downstairs his right side bore two

Wounds and two shots to the top of his head likely rendered him unconscious he had black eyes a broken nose lacerations bruises and burn-like marks on his back consistent with blows from a long blunt object possibly a gun in jun’s case the police pieced together a theory shot seven times she

Likely sat up during part of the attack evident in the blood pattern on her clothing two fatal shots one between her eyes and another to the right side of her head had killed her additional shots scar her neck forearm chest and knee the young victims Daniel and Nicholas faced their own tragic fate

Daniel shot five times in the back of the head and jured close-range gunfire while Nicholas suffered three contact or close proximity shots lastly Sheila’s wounds had a confusing story two bullet wounds under her chin one a mere 3 in away and the other a contact injury the higher wound

Would have ended her life instantly Peter phus noted that the lower injury caused bleeding inside her neck indicating it happened first The Blood Stained pattern on her night dress hinted that she would have been sitting up when the shots were fired also test on her blood and urine showed she consumed haloperidol a

Medication for treating schizophrenia and it also used cannabis a few days before even the initial Firearms officer who saw her noted that her fingernails were well groomed and intact and her fingertips were devoid of any signs of blood dirt or powder which was unusual and mostly impossible the rifle magazine was likely

Loaded twice during the killings and this typically would have left some lubricant and material from the bullets on the hands but no lead dust was found during the postmortem some amount of blood was discovered but that was inconsistent with the scenario that was being suggested So Far So what had really happened if

Sheila wasn’t responsible then who some people already had the answers they were sure that one of June and Neville’s adopted children was responsible they just had to find out whether it was Sheila or Jeremy but nothing was going according to the procedure just 3 days after the murders Jeremy Bamber and his extended

Family got the keys back to the house the police even burned the bloodstained bedding and carpet within a couple of days to spare Jeremy’s emotions in fact it turned out that the murder scene was neither properly secured nor thoroughly searched and crucial evidence was not documented or saved the scenes of crime officer

Handled the murder weapon without wearing gloves and fingerprint examination happened weeks later all of this happened because most of of the officers had already made up their minds about who is responsible detective Chief Inspector Thomas TAF Jones Deputy head of CID strongly believed Sheila was responsible for her family’s death when Jeremy’s

Cousins questioned the possibility that Jeremy might be involved Jones kicked them out of his office but the bigger question was what made these officers so certain that Sheila was the killer after her divorce as a single mom Sheila navigated life un welfare tackling low paying gigs like a onewe

Stint as a waitress at school diners a unique London spot where young women serve dinners in school uniforms stockings and suspenders after her brief modeling stint ended with the birth of her boys she had to take up odd jobs like cleaning and even a regrettable episode of nude photography amidst this Sheila found

Sollace and a group of young women who affectionately called her Bambi in this group she could talk about her life her divorce and even opened up about her strained relationship with her adoptive mom June apart from sharing emotions the group also engaged in drugs especially C and mingled with older

Men but if this wasn’t enough her mental health took a hit too which was marked by episodes of banging her head against walls in 1983 her family doctor directed her to Hugh Ferguson the same psychiatrist who had helped her mom June Ferguson found Sheila in an agitated and

Paranoid State leading to her admission to St Andrews Hospital initially diagnosed with skitso effective disorder the treatment evolved as Ferguson seeing her as an outpatient after discharge concluded that she actually had schizophrenia now here’s where it got intense Sheila in her struggle started believing in some really dark thoughts

She thought the devil had granted her the power to project evil unto others even thinking she could manipulate her sons into getting intimate and even acting out in violence echoing the very phrase June once used about Sheila she herself started calling her kids the devil’s children but again Sheila couldn’t hurt

Her children all these thoughts were intrusive and just way to get some love and attention from people who had turned away from her the inquest into the murders kicked off on August 14th 1985 the police argued that the deaths were the result of murder suicide and the bodies were released for final

Rights Neville Jun and Sheila were cremated while the boys were late to rest however jer’s Behavior both before and after the funeral raised suspicions among his family during the funeral service for his parents and sister some claimed Jeremy sobbed even needing support from his girlfriend Julie as if

He might Buckle under the weight of grief however things took a strange turn during the Wake when he appeared to be smiling and joking shortly after the funerals Jeremy and Julie traveled to Amsterdam with a friend where they not only bought a significant amount of cannabis but also

Seemed to be in High Spirits according to the travel agent who sold them the tickets Jeremy started selling his family’s possessions deepening the doubts within his own family about his involvement in the murders on the day of the murders Julie talked about the phone call she received around 3:30

A.m. Jeremy sounded uneasy muttering that something was wrong at home but in her sleepy State she didn’t press for details fast forward to September 7th 1985 a month after the incident now everything had changed Julie altered her statement to the police she now claimed Jeremy had been plotting to kill his

Family I kept on saying to him that I had to say something and I couldn’t keep this in and questioning him he became frightened of me which is what made me become frightened of him because he obviously was getting quite nervous about the fact that I wasn’t prepared to

Just cover him if you like anymore and it was the Saturday morning then that I went to the police Jeremy harbored resentment towards his parents claiming they tried to control his life and he had a strained relationship with Sheila he was particularly upset that Sheila lived in an expensive flat and

Made a veil supported by his parents between July and October 1984 Jeremy expressed frustration with his parents and a desire to get rid of them all including his sister and the children he described his father as old his mother is mad Sheila is Disturbed and the twins as emotionally troubled he even had

Knowledge about his parents Wills as the conversations progressed between October and December 1984 Jeremy’s plans began to solidify initially he spoke of dragging the family after supper Upp ER driving back to goldhanger then returning to the farmhouse on foot or bicycle to burn it down however he realized the difficulty

Of destroying the property and its valuables Through Fire later he revealed that he decided to shoot his family exploiting a faulty kitchen window latch as his entry point Jeremy even planned a cunning Escape Route leaving through a different window that latched from the outside he saw his sister Sheila as a

Convenient scapegoat especially after her ad to the hospital during Easter 1985 he planned to frame Sheila for the crime and make it look like she then took her own life on the evening of Tuesday August 6 1985 Jeremy called Julie expressing frustration and claiming that the crime

Was on his mind all day it was now or never during a private moment amid the police raid that day Jeremy took Julie aside away from the officer’s ears and said I should have been an actor later when they were alone Julie confronted Jeremy asking if he was the

Culprit he denied it but confessed that he had orchestrated his friend Matthew McDonald to carry out the killings Jeremy detailed the instructions he gave McDonald for entering and leaving The Farmhouse undetected he also devised a plan to create an alibi by having McDonald call him from the farm using a phone with a

Memory redial feature McDonald had told Jeremy that he’d overpowered Neville who was surprisingly strong and gave a good fight McDonald then angrily shot seven bullets into Neville McDonald head Sheila at gunpoint all the while as he instructed her to keep lying down on the floor as his last victim McDonald then

Threatened Sheila and asked her to shoot herself while he placed a Bible on her chest so as to build a religious motive according to Jeremy the children were shot in their sleep to avoid any pain Jeremy disclosed that McDonald received 2,000 for carrying out these plans this version of events answered many

Questions except for the most important one why did Julie not say something earlier and why was she revealing everything now on a random Saturday August 31st 1985 Julie asked Jeremy about their relationship she wanted to know if he loved her that question somehow opened up more conversation about the murders

Overwhelmed by Jeremy’s unnervingly normal behavior Julie expressed her struggle and for knowing about the details later that night Jeremy told Julie that he didn’t know about love but she was his best friend and that he entrusted his life to her the situation took 180° turn on Tuesday September 3rd as they met at

Sheila’s former flat in London Jeremy received a call from an ex-girlfriend prompting Julie’s anger in a fit of frustration she threw an ornament box at a mirror and slapped Jeremy his reaction was not as calm as how other people viewed it it was violent as he twisted

Her arm behind her back in a fit of anger 4 days later Julie decided to take matters into her own hands and went to the police and shared the entire story on September 8th 1985 both Jeremy Bamber and McDonald found themselves arrested but this was not the end of the story

Not by long shot McDonald had a solid Alibi he just could not have been at the crime scene at any cost during this confusion Julie came forward once again and confessed that during Easter 1985 she assisted Jeremy in stealing money from the offices of the OC Road Caravan site owned by Jeremy and

Various Bamber family members Jeremy orchestrated the scene to make it look like an outsider committed the burglary they stole about 970 and part of the stolen money was used to fund an extravagant meal Jeremy in his defense insisted that he loved his parents and sister refuting claims of financial issues with them he

Justified the Caravan psych break-in with Julie as a way to highlight security flaws Jeremy explained entering The Farmhouse through a window using a knife to manipulate the catches and asserted that he’d seen his parents Wills there were plans to share the estate between him and Sheila and he was

Absolutely fine with it regarding the rifle Jeremy told police it was mostly used without a silencer because it would not fit in its case otherwise the silencer became the most important detail that could either make or break the case the fact that no silencer was found on the gun when the

Bodies were discovered Jeremy’s cousin David boutflower had found it 3 days later in the office gun cupboard the weird part was that the police had searched the cupboard earlier but didn’t find anything when David found it his sister and father were in the same room so there was no question about the

Authenticity of the location they found red paint and blood on the silencer it felt sticky in their hand and the surface of it had been damaged the blood inside the silencer matched Sheila’s blood group although it could have been a mix of Nevels and Junes a firearm expert named Malcolm

Fletcher stated that the blood was backs spatter which occurs in close contact shootings whether the silencer was on the gun during the murders became a crucial question one Theory argued that if if it was in fact on the gun it would have been impossible for Sheila to shoot

Herself forensic test suggested her arms couldn’t reach to shoot herself with the silencer attached and if Sheil used the silencer for the other shots and realized she couldn’t shoot herself the silencer would be found next to her not in the cupboard so if she wasn’t the killer it meant Jeremy had lied about

The phone call from his father and had killed them all charged on the 9th of September 1985 for the care van sight break-in Jeremy was released on bail on the 13th of September he then jetted off to St Tropez for a holiday attempting to sell his life story in explicit photos of

Sheila to the son for £20,000 before leaving upon his return to England on the 29th of September 1985 Jeremy was arrested again at Dover and charged with the murders Jeremy’s trial commenced on October 3rd 1986 at chelsford Crown Court before Justice Drake and a jury of 7 men and five

Women the prosecution led by Anthony arage QC argued that Jeremy driven by hatred in greed had left White House Farm after family dinner around 10 p.m. on the 6th of August 1985 he supposedly returned later on his mother’s borrowed bicycle avoiding main roads the prosecution contended that he

Entered through a bathroom window took a rifle with the silencer and proceeded to shoot his family to implicate Sheila he removed the sil silencer returned it to the gun cupboard and added a Bible next to Sheila’s body to create a delay before Discovery he didn’t call triple9 but

Drove slowly to The Farmhouse and suggested Sheila was familiar with guns to deter police entry they argued that Jeremy had not received any call from his father as Neville was severely injured after the initial shots and wouldn’t have been able to speak they said that there is no blood on the

Kitchen phone left off the hook suggesting no call had been made apart from that Sheila was deemed unlikely to have committed the murders as she hadn’t expressed recent self harm thoughts lacked interest in guns and showed no evidence of moving around the crime scene or being involved in a

Struggle the defense led by Jeffrey rivlin QC with support from Ed Lawson QC argued that Witnesses claiming Jeremy disliked his family were either lying or misunderstood him their theory was that Julie lied about his confession due to personal betrayal no one saw Jeremy cycling to and from

The farm and there were no marks on him suggesting a fight on the night of the incident a slower response to his father’s call was attributed to fear the defense proposed that Sheila was the killer they highlighted her serious mental illness prior admission of feeling capable of harming her

Children and her access to the loaded rifle left on the kitchen table by Jeremy a recent family argument about fostering her children added motive a former boyfriend shared Sheila’s breakdown in March 1985 expressing fear for people around her the defense suggested that Sheila’s ritualistic Behavior like changing clothes and

Washing herself could explain the lack of lead on her hands and the absence of any marks or residue on her feet they raised the possibility that the blood and the silencer wasn’t hers but a mixture of Nevels and Junes the judge presented the jury with three critical questions whom did they

Believe Julie or Jeremy were they convinced that Sheila did not commit the murders and that she did not take her own life especially considering whether the Fatal shot at Sheila was fired with the silencer on lastly did Neville truly call Jeremy in the middle of the night

The absence of such a call would cast doubt on Jeremy’s entire story suggesting he invented it to conceal his role in The Murders after over 9 hours of deliberation on October 28th the jury by a majority of 10 to two found Jeremy guilty the judge sentenced him to five

Life terms recommending a minimum of 25 years emphasizing your conduct in planning and carrying out the killing of five members of your family was evil almost beyond belief in December 1994 Home Secretary Michael Howard informed Jeremy that he’d spend the rest of his life in prison affirming a decision made in 1998 by

Then Home Secretary Douglas herd after Jeremy’s initial request to appeal in November 1986 was denied claiming the judge’s misdirection of the jury he persisted in April 1988 Justice Coffield rejected his appeal following criticism of the police investigation by the trial judge Essex police conducted an internal inquiry Jeremy contending that evidence was

Concealed filed a formal complaint in 1991 the city of London Police investigated this complaint revealing additional material armed with this Jerry petitioned the Home Secretary in September 1993 for court of appeal referral denied in July 1994 during this process the home office refused to share its expert evidence with

Jeremy to challenge this decision he applied for a judicial review in November 1994 resulting in the home office eventually providing the evidence in 1996 a police officer mistakenly destroyed numerous trial exhibits unaware that the case was ongoing in 1997 the home office handed Jeremy’s case to the newly established

Criminal cases review commission CCRC responsible for scrutinizing potential miscarriages of Justice by March 2001 the CCRC referred the case to the court of appeal citing the discovery of DNA inside the silencer made possible by a test unavailable in 1986 as new evidence in a detailed 522 paragraph judgment the judges concluded that the

Investigator’s conduct did not compromise the trial’s Integrity moreover upon further examination they affirmed the jury’s correctness in their decision Jeremy initially brought 16 issues to the attention of the court in 2008 he faced a setback when his appeal for a reduced sentence known as a whole

Life Tariff was denied in the high court by Mr Justice tug and hat again the court of appeals upheld this decision in 2009 despite continuous attempts to appeal Jeremy encountered difficulties and favorable outcomes remained elusive who could have thought that strain familial relations would lead to the destruction of the whole family by

One of their own whether the killer was Sheila or Jeremy the pain endured by the adoptive parents would have been heart-wrenching Sheila with her documented mental health struggles could have been driven to commit such a horrific act on the other hand Jeremy strained relationships within the family and his alleged Financial motives could

Paint a motive for him as well even though a verdict was reached the case remains unsolved in many ways people still have their own theories and some unanswered Questions given the context who do you think was the real killer and what could have been the motive behind his or her actions please let us know your thoughts also if you have any case suggestions you’d like us to cover please mention it in the comment section below and don’t

  1. i’ve heard so many cases of adoptions where either the children didn’t feel truly loved or the parents, or one of them, didn’t feel totally connected to the child/children; especially if eventually the couple was able to have their own child. i know not every adoption is that way, and God bless people with hearts & homes for children that need them. it’s just something i’ve observed in my life

  2. I really don't think his wife fabricated her story, when you see her interview she seems very believable and I don't see any evidence of her being scorn from anything other then scared of him

  3. 10:08– Officer Hightower turns in his hat and quits the Police Academy. Hopefully Mahoney and the guys can survive the riot and get him back into the gang. Lots of laughs ahead in Police Academy 1, 2 with Bobcat!, 3, & 4 Citizens on Patrol!

  4. SHEILA KILLED HER SONS. not Jeremy!!! Look up her Wikipedia her husband said she called them Devil spawn and would smash her hands through their house windows. She was a schizophrenic and very violent. He was scared of her. She did this!! Do your proper research!!!! Jeremy has been tested for decades by psychiatric experts and they all testify that he is actually normal and not physopathic. He's passed every test and ZERO dna or evidence links him. He was put in jail by the Corrupt Essex department.

  5. So Julie is ok with him killing his family. Even going on holiday right afterwards. But as soon as he speaks to an ex then that's just too far! Ok!

  6. Living here in UK,i am familiar with this case, however u have revealed lots of info that i had never heard before.Well done on your research.Thank you.

  7. In cases like this usually is the one that gains the most the ones that carries the heavy weight, so it doesn't make sense that the sister will do it, rip to everyone on this tragedy.

  8. You can be sure it wasnt Sheila, no blood splatter on her other than her own – plus she was shot twice ,, impossible for self infliction thats for sure.

I hope that man never gets out of jail – ever.

  9. I can't believe you used clips from the Police Academy for the B role. That would be like using clips from Blazing Saddles for a story about cowboys and ranchers. Lol

  10. 😏 Just so we’re clear, having a cyst on your ovary will NOT “permanently” keep you from having children…. 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

E V E R Y female gets cysts at some point or another, most going completely unnoticed & removing themselves when a menstrual cycle completes.

But no, having a cyst on your ovary does not render one infinitely infertile …. Fkng men. 😆

  11. 18 minutes in and I say the only survivor ( the adopted brother) was the killer just insuring he gets his expensive new car and there are no family members alive to collect the insurance and inheritance.

  12. Adopted children can sometimes show scant appreciation towards their adoptive families. You don't know their genetics, if whether they come from good or bad biological stock. You could've been happier without them under your roof.
