Hiking and biking through Italy’s Jaw-dropping Dolomites is a must do for any active traveler. The Dolomites is one of the most beautiful and iconic mountain ranges reaching heights of nearly 11,000 feet! These sky scraping mountain tops gave us a reason to lose our breath and not only because of the thin air but also because of their stunnning beauty. We spent and entire week hiking and biking and ziplining through the Dolomites. We traveled this Unesco World Heritage site using the company Backroads, one of our favorite travel companies. We toured the South Tyrol area and visited areas like, Pieve di Cadore, Bolzano, Laghetto di Fiè, Puez-Odle Natural Park, Cinque Torri, San Cassiano, and Dolomiti d’Ampezzo just to name a few. The Dolomites are known not only for their great snow skiing and snowboarding but also for their fantastic summer activities like hiking and biking. Don’t worry, they rent electric bikes (e-bikes) and mountain bikes to help you up the mountain.
