  1. I also do not like when cars are parking on the sidewalk like it was parkingspace. It would be like of I parked my bike on a road full of cars driving.

  2. This is why it will take decades to follow the dutch level of bicycle status. The minds of all traffic users has to change and that takes time. I ride about 5000miles a year on a bicycle in out cities in the netherlands and am always amazed how gentle car drivers are. Yes its law, bicycle paths but also state of mind of drivers. Dutch car drivers are not getting the respect for this they have earned.

  3. The lane that is not blocked has the priority. Learn the rules of the street. Cyclists should learn the rules.

  4. Well… If your lane is blocked you have to make sure you can move to another lane without hindering or causing any danger for other traffic. So you should have waited and not just take right of way…

  5. It's simple frustration as 90percent of cyclists I see do not stop at stop signs or traffic lights.
Do not signal when switching lanes or coming out of the bike lane.
Then when they get hit or someone honks it's not their fault ever

  6. Also, in general, when you're in traffic and there's an obstacle in your way, you give way until it is clear for you to go around it and not "Sorry buddy there's not enough room" your way around it whenever you please.

I get it that it's extremely frustrating that the bike lanes are so often blocked but it's your responsibility to keep yourself safe before you ask that from a random person who just happens to drive in the same road as you.

  7. If you are honked at, you slow down. If some idiot is going to do anything stupid you want to ride a little bit slower.

  8. Most car drivers don't understand how scary and intimidating they can be and how close to causing an accident they are , not everybody is a pro at bycicle riding or confident that the car behind isn't going to hit them or get to close ,there are amatures just like there are ammature car drivers ,I hope that when a car drivers sees a bycicle rider that they imagine there kid was on that bike and take the same care and attention because somebody else's kid is on that tiny steel frame bycicle with no protection with a rider in fear of being hit most the time by pushy drivers ,,please take care !

❤ To all the car drivers who do take there time and respect others safety thanks , , not everyone can afford a luxury of a car and have to commute and get around on push bikes ,sweating it up hills , plus bikes are the more natural of the two lol but yeah let's respect eachother , I mostly let cars go ahead if I can because I know I can slow cars down sometimes when there's not much room , but we also get slowed down by cars that are stuck in traffic blocking a way through so yeah love to all ❤

  9. Cars automatically respond like oh it's a bike i have to pass the bike, even if you're going faster than them or the speed limit it's more important because cars are bigger than bikes and they cost more money, the guy reaction is the bike needs to be behind the car breathing in its exhaust. Where as what we should be seeing is human beings using the road to moveon wheels, and the car is easier to use and safer, so don't drive on roads with bike lanes if you need to drive fast.
