Roll with it amen on our prayer list this morning we have my brother my good friend brother Deacon Sanders and brother Thomas my friend Mark Mark saris and we ask continue to prayer for the Virginia Davis family and Helen Helen Robinson and her sister Thomas and Retta
Williams my daughter Ola May Baker good friend Eddie ainson and my friend Raymond Franklin and we know there’s so much more going on and so many more people that needs prayer but these here are spe specific prayer that’s on our list and we just ask you continue to pray for
Them as we pray for each other a scripture this morning come from Psalms 105 you know God is good and boy he just he put all kind of stuff on your heart and mind and this just jumped out at me oh give thanks unto the Lord call upon

Macedonia we have been in a great month um we started off this month if this entire month is about Covenant but on first Sunday was our covenant and commitment um Sunday where we renewed our commitment to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to the service that he
Has called us to amen he didn’t just call us to be saved and then the sit amen amen amen we are called we are we have been saved and now we are to be of service unto him oh God and to serve his people and so if you’re not doing
Anything then you need to go and do some some searching and and some prayer and say Lord what would you have me to do that’s right this world is dark we live in a dark world and there’s so many things that are going on all around us
Um so many things each and every day people the Church of of of God is under attack the men and women of God are under attack and we have to make sure to know that we are all in this thing together amen amen and here’s what I
Found out y’all don’t have to say Amen here’s what I found out is that you can’t work and complain at the same time all right come on now uhhuh come on uhhuh you can’t critique somebody else’s work if you are busy doing something yes whole another message I won’t bother
Nobody this morning amen but um we have something to do and God has called us for such a time as this last Sunday we’re grateful um for our giving Sunday and our blessings bags amen I think almost 50 bags they were able to deliver um to the soup kitchen I saw your
Pictures we’ll make sure and get those up on Facebook thank you crisis Ministry and thank you Macedonia m Macedonia is a giving church amen Macedonia is a giving church if you look in scripture Macedonia was a giving church amen and we live up to the name and we believe in
Giving as the Lord has blessed us amen and it doesn’t stop because it just continues the cycle as we give the Lord blesses us as well amen and I I try to find Opportunities to give amen and we thank God for this opportunity to give today is our family Deacon Ministry Sunday
Amen come on y’all can do better than that all right all right our family Deacon Ministry and we at Macedonia I learned well and Pastor Archie um taught us when we were going through ordination service and ordination training he said we don’t have a deacon board we have a
Deacon body all right because deacons are called out of the body in fact you recommended them as the body Macedonia and we prayed about it and God put his stamp of approval on it praise God praise God but these are leaders and men that you have called that God has called
For such a time as this and you said you said not the pastor the pastor don’t pick the deacons you said these are men of that are worthy of the calling and I’m grateful to report to you Macedonia that I’m thankful for the deacons that God has called here for
Such a Time this great job great job amen I don’t have to worry about going and getting them out of jail praise God Amen praise God praise God I don’t have to worry about trying to clean up their reputation on Sunday morning over the pool pit and give
Excuses these are men that are upstanding men that’s good that’s good MH praise God praise God Amen praise the Lord and sister Mia snuck out of here before I get um will would you go get sister Mia cuz she has to be in here for

Quickly in our in our time together we talk about and the the scripture supports that Deacon family ministry is important because deacons serve as Shepherds as well partners with the pastor yes extensions of my hand and partners with in the work of ministry and it’s not easy dealing with God’s
People but it’s what we’re called to do and we do it humbly and we do it with reverence and service and I thank God for each and every one of you I thank God for your wives because it is a calling as well and when during ordination you accepted the call as well
And I know that many times sharing your husband with others is not ideal it’s it’s not something that you want you’d rather for them maybe to be at home doing what you would rather have them doing Sister Bailey is not here but I’m sure she’s saying
Amen but this calling is who we are and the truth of the matter is ladies is that you have a man of God that is doing the work of God and I believe you’d rather him doing the work of God than doing anything else amen because only what we do for Christ will
Last and you all are noble men you’re Men of Integrity and I’m grateful that God has called us for such a time as this to work in the vineyard together times are different things are different but I’m grateful that I in the last few months seven months that I’ve
Been able to call on you all when I’m not in town when I’m running back and forth and there’s never been a time when you haven’t said pastor I got you back and I thank you for that I thank you publicly I try to thank you privately
But I want you to know how much I really do appreciate that from the bottom of my heart God has called us and he has great work for us to do yes and it’s app I appreciate you all being united and us being together and our linked arms
Together we’re not divided we don’t argue and fuss and fight and cuss none of those things we might disagree but when we finish talking we’re working it through and we move forward and I thank God for you and I thank God for that so on behalf of the entire Macedonia

We’ve done and where we’ve been oh God some say we’re not we shouldn’t even be here today but God thank you for your grace thank you for your mercy thank you for your loving kindness oh God thank you for protecting us and watching over us oh God and putting a hedge of
Protection around us God thank you that you have called us for such a time as this and Lord we thank you oh God for these men that are upstanding men oh God that desire to be pleasing unto you oh God and to do your work that are sacrificial in their time sacrificial in
Their giving oh God sacrificial oh God in the things and how they serve and Lord we know that you don’t look upon us oh God but you reward faithfulness and your word says that faithfulness will not go unrewarded oh God you said give and we would you would give it back to
Us good measure press down shaking together and running over oh God bless this these families oh God bless their households bless their families oh God bless them financially oh God bless let love and peace abide in their homes in the name of Jesus protect them keep them
Watch over them is our prayer and father God when it gets rough let them know that we love them and we thank you for them and for their lives strengthen them where they’re weak build them up where they’re torn down and we give you name your name all the praise anoint them no

Series but possessed by the promise and if you don’t mind turning with me this morning as you are able to if you’re able to turn with me to the book of 2 Samuel chapter number nine I’m going to do my very best to get you out on Time 2 Samuel Old Testament chapter n and for those of you all that were here here with us last week um this is important because last week’s message informs and impacts this week’s message um we’re planted by the promise and this week we’re going to look from 2 Samuel chapter N9 last week
We talked about this you this important and deep relationship and friendship and the Covenant that was that took place between David and Jonathan y’all remember Jonathan was Saul’s son and there’s a relationship there and even though Saul was after David johathan says no no no we’re in
Covenant and all this week we’re talking about Covenant chapter nine I’m going to read here and just follow along because I might skip around just for for the sake of time you can go back home and read the entirety for yourself but for the sake of time this morning from 2 Samuel
Chapter number n verse one and David said is there yet any that is left of the House of Saul that I might show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake there’s a lot there and there was there was of the House of Saul a servant whose name was Zeba and when they had
Had called him unto David the king said said unto him art thou Zeba he said thy servant is he and the King said is there not yet any of the House of Saul that I might show the kindness of God unto him and Zeba said unto King unto the king
Jonathan has yet a son which is lame on his feet and the King said unto him where is he and Zeba said unto the king behold he is in the house of Makar the son of Amel down in lar then King David sent and fetched him
Out of the house of mear the son of Amiel from lar now when meseth the son of Jonathan the son of Saul was come unto David he fell on his face and did reverence and David said mephibosheth and he answered Behold thy servant here I am and David said unto him fear not
For I will surely show thee kindness for Jonathan thy father’s sake mhm yes and will restore thee all the land of Saw thy father and thou shall eat bread at my table continually yeah you’ll shout on that later and he bowed himself and said what is thy servant and thou that thou should
Lookest upon such a dead dog as I am then the king call his Zeba Saul’s servant and said unto him I have given unto thy Master son all that pertain to Saul and to all his house I better stop right there because I’m getting this excited um this morning
From the second the ninth chapter of 2 Samuel I want to tag this text privileged by the promise yeah that’s good privileged by the promise father we thank you for your word for your word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path speak to us like only you can
None of me and all of you that when we leave from this place we’ll be better than we came in and father we’ll say thank you and we’ll give you praise anoint us to speak forth the truths and the riches of your word that oh God it
May be applied to our life and that we would live and walk victoriously knowing that we have a promise from the Lord and we say thank you now and we give you praise in Jesus name every grateful heart say hallelujah hallelujah thank thank God Amen you may be seated in the presence
Of the Lord privileged by the promise oh this is good I I got excited I had trouble sleeping last night because um this word here got all down in my toes all right all right because some of of us don’t know what it’s like to live a privileged life thank you most of
Us probably all of us don’t know what it’s like to live a privileged life all right that you just get something because of who you are come on come on on some people there’s um you receive things or receive certain treatment because of the way they look they call that
Privilege somebody knows what I’m talking about we as a people are not used to privilege we have to work for everything we get come come on nobody gave me anything from what the way I look I know Mama used to say you think you got that on your
Looks no you have to work for everything you get um looked up privilege privilege is a special right or an advantage or immunity that is granted and only available to a particular person or group meaning you deserve something but you don’t get it because you’re privileged well that’s one side the
Other side is even though you don’t deserve it you still get it because you’re privileged either way privilege has not so much to do about what you’re doing it’s about who you are and you just receive it because of who you are I’m already preaching I’m privileged by the
Promise it’s interesting because we’ve got so many things I know that may not be good English we have so many things um going on all around us um it seems like it’s one scandalous story after another sometimes you wonder in 20124 what is coming next I want to encourage you this
Morning my sisters and my brothers to tell you that there have always been these kinds of situations that are going on all around us but thank God that God remains true God remains faithful and God keeps his word and God keeps his Covenant even when we as men and women fall God is
Still standing there it’s interesting because over and over and over again the Lord is saying through a concept that we call Covenant and the Covenant he’s saying he’s saying Covenant is so much stronger because a covenant means that I’m not coming out of this agreement and you’re not coming
Out of this agreement and we’re in in this together and my sisters and my brothers all the blessings in the Bible are Covenant blessings in other words every blessing that comes my way it’s not because I deserve any of those blessings it’s because I accepted the Lord and he is
Now in in my heart and in my life and I have access to the blessings that belong to me because I’m in relationship but somebody says well preacher I have a problem with that because here’s the truth of the matter is the Lord was blessing me even before
I came to know him is there anybody’s testimony that the Lord was blessing me even before I walked down the aisle and gave my hand to the preacher the Lord’s been blessing me and keeping me and taking care of me all my life but now that I’m in I’m in and I
Have access to His blessings uhhuh somebody saywell what do you mean preacher the scripture says that he would keep my mind in perfect peace if I keep my mind stayed on him see that’s one of those Covenant blessings that you don’t get if you’re outside of his will but now that I’m in
His will I have access to peace in the midst of the battle peace in the midst of the storm peace in the midst of whatever I’m going through because I’m in Covenant with God I’m in Covenant with the Lord and he’s providing for me and the Bible teaches again that all blessings are
Covenant blessings somebody says now what is covenant well if you haven’t been here the last three weeks then you’ve missed out on a great part that we’ve been talking about Covenant because Covenant has the idea that we have to cut Covenant and it has the idea
That in order for a covenant to be seen you have to have some blood that shed it’s the idea that if order to cut Covenant there has to be some blood that is shed and sometimes the word covenant is also translated or paired with blood Covenant because you can’t have Covenant
Unless you have some shedding of blood all throughout the Bible if they were going to cut Covenant that means that they were going to cut themselves and they would mingle the blood together which means that now I’m you and you me we’re blood we’re not just friends it’s
Not what what granddaddy says blood is thicker than water no you are mine and I’m yours and we’re in this thing together and I want you to understand it as best as possible but not only understand it if you once you understand it you’ve got to allow it to inform your
Daytoday living and realize that because I’m in Covenant Covenant then my life and my walk ought to be different because I’m not just in anybody I’m somebody that’s in Covenant with God do I have anybody that’s a child of the king I I’m in Covenant with
God oh that’s good news that’s good news because I’m in Covenant with God and I’m not in this thing by myself I’m in Covenant with God and God is taking care of me uh it it’s important because here um the Covenant is is a sacred agreement that’s based on
Blood and it’s a sacred agreement because it’s called it’s known as the blood Covenant and then when we fast forward it helps us to know that this Covenant that we’re in it’s not because of anything that we did that’s why every time we hear about the cross we ought to
Get exciting excited because if it was not for the cross there would be no shedding of blood and if there wasen any shedding of blood there would be no remission of sin and so therefore I’m in Covenant because of what Jesus did for me he died yes he died but he didn’t
Just pass out no they pierced him in his side they put stakes in his hands and in his feet and he died and his blood came streaming down what can wash away my sins nothing but the blood of Jesus what can make me whole again nothing but the blood of
Jesus yeah and so therefore it’s an agreement and it’s extended not just to me here’s a good place to thank God it’s extended for Generation to generation that’s why that song messes me up is because it reaches to the highest mountain and it flows to the lowest Valley the blood that gives me
Strength from day to day what come on it will never lose its power 2,000 years later it still has power oh I don’t want to start talking about the blood cuz I’ll get excited thank God for the blood and so here it is this Covenant is an agreement it’s literally a union of
Two partners who are in Covenant and say we’re in this together and it means that we are mutually held together but notice all also if you remember last week that there was an exchange um he took off his robe he said here here’s my robe he took
Off his his his belt he say here it is this is your because what’s yours is mine and what what’s mine is yours all my talents are yours and all your talents are mine if I need you here I am if you need me here I am right if you
Have debts your debts are my debts sir your liabilities are my liability ities your enemies are my enemies somebody said we I thought we weren’t in high school no it’s deeper than that I’m not saying you because I mad at somebody you need to be mad at
Them too no it’s not that kind of agreement it’s saying can’t nobody come and take you out without taking me out because I’m not going to be the one that what runs away from the fight I will get in the fight with you somebody shouted because God was
Able to get in the fight with you thank you Lord mhm but let me tell you something else Covenant tells me that not only will he get in the fight with me he’ll fight for me oh um I thought I was getting ready to fight and he says no we’re in Covenant
You just step back and let me take care of this you just step back and let me handle this you just step back in fact just be still and see the salvation of the Lord oh I’m so glad that I’m in Covenant I’m so glad that I’m in Covenant because uh
Because I’m in Covenant um um it lets me know that it continues on not just to me but to my Offspring children’s children to my children and my children’s children yeah this Covenant doesn’t stop if I die the Covenant keeps on going and that’s what
We pick up right here we got a little reading to do here because it’s important here for us to realize and understand because in Bible times yes it was called a blood Covenant and when people will enter into this Covenant it was saying that we’re in relationship that’s closer than Brothers in
Flesh because y’all do remember if you go read in the Bible there were some brothers that didn’t like each other well y’all go back y’all go back uh y’all go back to uh uh uh Cain and Abel and um um y’all remember Jacob he trying to and his brothers they try to
Take him out y’all remember Joseph and and so therefore the Covenant says y’all may have been Blood Brothers and y’all can’t get along but this is a different type of party we’re not related but we’re in Partnership yes yes and if there’s ever a fight and you’re in that fight I’m in
It with you it’s interesting because he says this is a friend that sticks closer than a brother have you ever read that in the Bible we’re talking about the person that’s in Covenant it’s the way that I act towards you if I’m in Covenant with you that I will show you
Loving kindness all right somebody say loving kindness kindness that means that whatever I have you may ask for it you can call on it and if it’s if I have it it’s yours if you need it right my wealth is your wealth thank you my friends are your friends my strength is
Your strength my sorrow is your sorrow because we’re in Covenant praise God now the Bible is divided into two parts the old Covenant and the New Covenant yes yes somebody said preachers not call the old Covenant and the New Covenant but before you get deep on me Testament
Actually means Covenant yes and so you need to understand the terms of the Covenant in the Old Testament we were under the old Covenant but if you remember when Jesus sat down with the brothers at the table he said this is the New Covenant in my
Blood yeah yes H yeah so what used to happen is the old way this is the new way that’s why when Jesus died the veil in the temple was rent from the top to the bottom he says now because of the blood that Jesus shed on Calvary I have access
To God because the Covenant has been made new you don’t have to kill the lamb anymore you don’t have to sprinkle the blood over the door you don’t have to take the dove anymore because now I’m in a New Covenant with Jesus Christ and now
I can go to God for myself and somebody here this morning ought to thank God that I can go to God for myself ah because folks have problems and and preachers mess up and pastors have faulty failures but I’m glad to report to you that when ain’t nobody
Else can go in for me I can go in for myself because I’m in Covenant with God somebody ought to thank God this morning that I can go in for myself h now now before I get excited I told you I told you before I get excited it’s
Important for us to understand that we have to take that and apply it to our daily life see you can’t handle me any kind of way come on because I’m in Covenant yeah be careful woo when you get that Revelation it’ll it’ll change the way
You look at you no longer sit around the table and saying oh they talking about me and oh they doing this to me and oh this is what they did to me no this is what it will allow you to do because I’m in Covenant you can’t handle me any kind
Of way why because God will take care of you because I’m in Covenant you better be careful how you handle me you better be careful how you talk about me you better be careful how you try to stab me in the back why because I’m not in this
Thing by myself God’s got me covered and I’m in Covenant oh I’m so glad I’m so glad I can go to sleep at night because I’m in Covenant Lord now now it’s important because uh let me slow down here um it’s important because in 2 Samuel chapter number nine where we just
Got through Reading that’s the end of or that’s the the end part of the story but it’s important that you get that part but you’ve got to rewind back to 1st Samuel chapter 18 uh and back to where we were last week because if you remember that um when Saul when David
Did what he did and he wasn’t killed they made a song can I catch you up real quick y’all know when you sure they go back and they say okay this is what happened last week so you can understand what happened this week last week Saul
Was the king and here comes Little David and David is showing out because David killed and he was a warrior and so therefore he was so bad that he brought his spoils back and said look at the head look at what I did here’s the head
Of the man I cut off look at what I’m able to do and Saul got worried because he’s saying this little boy is doing too much I’m glad that he’s a warrior but he’s doing too much and I want him to succeed but his success is starting to shine a little shade on
Me and people don’t like for you to throw shade yeah oh I wish I had somebody here he says uh he says so because of what he had done even the women started to write songs about David and said Saul was good but David is show enough
Good Saul is a warrior but David is a show enough Warrior Saul killed his thousands yeah oh but David killed his tens of thousands look at what D and and and y’all know um folks were listening and and Saul he he was listening to them singing and he didn’t like the song he
Didn’t like the chorus and he sure didn’t like the verse uh because they weren’t talking so much about him that they were talking about David and when somebody starts to feel some kind of way about you here’s what they’ll do they’ll try to talk you down to make them
Themselves feel better well well oh somebody’s going to get free here this morning they oh look at her do you look at her look like she done gained a little weight just don’t don’t try to throw shade on me um just let me be all
That God has called me to be the Young Folks say folks don’t want you to be great but let me tell you I’m not great because I’m great by myself I’m great because greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world and he’s working
On the inside of me and it’s not me but it’s him that’s shining bright in me all right let me slow down David so David is here just doing what he’s doing Saul’s got an issue and so Saul says I need to take this brother out because if I’m not
Careful he’s going to take over the whole thing if I’m not careful David will take over the entire Kingdom he says so I better be careful and try to take him out but the problem is is that God had worked behind the scenes to take Saul’s Flesh and Blood Jonathan his
Son and changed his heart so that it was intertwined with David go back and read it last week that there that the Bible says that they had a love for each other that their hearts were knitted together was no funny stuff it was their hearts were knitted
Together yes somebody missed a place to shout he should have been a Le uh loyal to his daddy right but God fixed his heart so that it was knitt it to somebody that he wasn’t even kin to yes that’s what God so they entered into a covenant Jonathan and
David and they entered into a covenant together because they were mutual and they were knitted together in heart and they cut Covenant together Jonathan and David they mingled the blood at their wrist and they’re saying now we are in Covenant together if you read there the
Bible went on we talked about last week that Jonathan stripped himself of the robe and he shared his possessions and remember now Jonathan is the prince and he takes the robe off off of him and puts it on David hold on to that Jonathan is the
Prince but he takes off his robe and puts it on David in his way of saying David now all that I have belongs to you yeah he’s saying not only are we one in person we are also one in possession and I want you to see what happens as a
Result of the blood Covenant that David and Jonathan enter into together because this has so much to do with you and I because if you keep on reading the Bible says now no remember Jonathan and David are in Covenant the Bible says uh that they went that they go into war and if
You read toward the end of the chapter um if I had time just go back Che into the first chap 1 Samuel if you go back to chapter um 18 um Saul is still trying to kill David but if you finish that particular book in 1 Samuel you’ll find
Out that Saul and Jonathan get killed in the battle yes uhhuh uh don’t don’t don’t don’t don’t don’t close your Bibles um 2 Samuel chapter number 31 if you go there the Bible says that they were in the battle the Philistines chap verse chapter 31 verse1 says the Philistines
Fought against Israel the Israelites fled before them and many fell the Philistines pressed hard after Saul and his son and killed his sons Jonathan ab badad and Malia and the F they the fighting crew grew Fierce around Saul and when the archers overtook him they wounded him critically uhhuh and Saul
Was so hurt that he told the man told his one of the the the the guards or the the servicemen he says listen I’m going to die but so just go ahead and take my life and then God said no I’m not going to take your life if you um so because
They’ll come back and say that I I killed you and so here’s what Saul did Saul fell on the sword himself yes he did yes he did and he died yes yes yes now that’s important Jonathan is dead Saul is dead David is alive I got to
Hurry up here the Bible says that um and and going over into now 2 Samuel in the first chapter there now David is now taking over the kingdom yes yes yes David now is in charge David is hurt in chapter 1 if you go there um 2 Samuel chapter 1 the Bible
Says that David heard of the death and he goes on and he even writes a song about that that’s over in at the end of verse one his lament verse 19 is written in the book of jha he writes a lament and he talks about how much he loved
Jonathan and Saul and and yet and still then in in of chapter two he’s anointed King uhhuh watch this remember Jonathan and David were in Covenant and now Jonathan and Saul are dead David is now in charge and he is taken over the kingdom my Lord we get to verse
N and it says and David says is there anybody left still left of the House of Saul see David’s heart was different different than yours probably different than mine you tried to kill me in fact even up to your own death you were still trying to take me out yes but
Because of Covenant uhhuh is there any anybody left my God that I can show loving kindness to yes yes because of Covenant yes yes yes I like to preach I like to tune but this is better than anything else because uh he says I need to know is there anybody left that’s
Kindera and there was a servant of his household named Zeba and said listen yes there is one and he’s the son of Jonathan his name is mishet now how did michet end up in loar that’s a good question go read chapter four because the Bible tells us that when David
Became king the servant the woman that was taking care of Miss fichette says now when they heard that Saul and Jonathan had died and that David was going to take over she grabbed up Jonathan’s son and said I better run away with him and take care of him
Because David will find out that he’s still alive yes sir uhhuh and come and take him out yeah cuz that’s the way people think so here’s what happened go back and read it chapter 4 the nurse comes and picks up the boy and runs off and in
