On this ride, I cycle a local route taking in both sides of the river Exe. The temperature was freezing and the roads were icy in places but it was a really nice and relaxing ride. My observations are the subject of this ride. So come along and enjoy another great cycling adventure.

Oh Oh Hi guys welcome back and thanks for joining me my ride again today I really do appreciate your company um today I’ve just chosen a local route it’s about 35 mil long to be honest I thought the weather or the road conditions was going to be quite icy so

I sort of played it safe but it turns out it’s not too bad I have come across one or two icy patches but it’s not too bad at all is it so as usual guys let’s see if we see anything interesting on today’s ride I see right over there that’s a

Commando or Royal Marines at Limon and actually we’ll be going over there in a minute we’ll be uh taking the cycle path which leads all the way down there and then I’m going up into the distance there yeah I had to stop um a little bit earlier on

Not that you guys would noticed but I had to put my skull cap on oh wow has proper brain freeze it’s so cold yeah so uh first time I’m wearing this skull cap today it’s a castelli one it was a Christmas present and it’s absolutely beautiful really really is doing a really good

Job my head and my ears are toasty yeah it’s nice it fits lovely Under The Helmet it’s so thin it’s really remarkable really how it’s actually keeping my head this warm being so F you can hardly notice it under the helmet yeah amazing piece of kit but more importantly it

Works don’t know if you can see that on GoPro guys but there’s lots and lots of geese there I just thought i’ show you that there literally thousands of them in there Thousands Apart from it being a little bit chilly it’s absolutely beautiful today it’s so uh Reviving you know what I mean I do love winter riding it’s something special W Sorry there’s a behind us it’s all right all right I got time yeah yeah thank You it’s the uh Commando base which I showed you earlier on moves across the river over there no one out today training almost must admit there’s a I know it’s empty here now but there’s a lot of people out today that beautiful there guys TI out I’m not going down into limstone today

Then into the village I’m going to take a this little path here I just have a little uh a little detour through the industrial state I want to go this way vaccination Center they still got Them Right guys that’s it from me for today’s ride I hope you enjoyed that um well until next time guys make sure you get out there ride and I’ll see you on the next one bye for now bye-bye [Laughter] Bye

    1. Nice little winter ride out, and good scenery. Things always look better with the sun out, even if it's cold.
Yes, those skull caps do a good job for sure 👍😊

    2. Interesting to see you ride past the "Atmospheric Railway" Pumping station at Starcross it's something so few people even know existed these days, and it's always good to see Powderham estate. My Great Grandfather was the blacksmith on the estate 🙂 Nice weather for a ride! Best regards Sarah

    3. Had lunch outside today watching your video (it’s in the low 70s right now). Probably the best lunch in a long time. Great video and nice weather. Life is good. Thanks for taking the time to publish another wonderful video.

    4. Just got back from a little 22 miler myself today. Wrapped up warm with the right gear on it's still great to get our eh. I noticed you're hovering just under 1k subs. Hopefully you'll smash it out of the park in 2024. Thanks for the content. I always enjoy watching your rides.

    5. Roads out of my hamlet are justo dodgy. On way home Wednesday afternoon just inside the village had a women being looked after by 2 motorists, she was pretty banged up. Down a steep hill on to sheet ice. Madness. Hoping tomorrow maybe ok, if not Sunday is looking much better as to ice, just have the wind instead🤦‍♂️😁 Take care Harv😊👍

    6. That was a nice sunny ride there. I got the thermals and the skull cap out t'other day just to do an Aldi shop and couldn't feel me fingers for a few minutes, Haha! When this latest weather system system passes thru, I'll try and give a quick chain clean and get out for a dedicated spin, 5-10 miles if I can, nice n easy tho.. Last few months have shot by so it pays to make every day count; Spring's just around the corner🌝🚴
