Solo in Yorkshire’s roughest estates!

I walk around Deighton and Dalton in West Yorkshire, Huddersfield….apparently one of Yorkshires roughest areas rife with smack heads and crime, i see what is actually kicking off there!

This is where you might see your first smackhead hello oh bloody hell maybe the old building burnt down or something then just left it who knows oh good morning from a sunny Huddersfield so basically today I was on my way into Huddersfield field but I remember people saying that some Estates

On the outskirts of Huddersfield that aren’t supposed to be the greatest one of them is Deon which I’ve just jumped off at now the railway station and the other one is a place called Dalton which is about to walk away anyway so I thought i’ jump off walk around see what

The area is actually like go down some back streets apparently saw many be one Bigg State this sent away so can’t be expecting too much there might not be too many hidden gems but you know might get lucky go down there have a walk to Dalton see what’s kicking off so let’s

Go right then think we’ll take a left see what’s happening up here so I’m on a walkway now about a minute from the train station show you now nice little walkway here between the estate so the weather’s quite nice today so nice uh nice walk this don’t know where

It leads to but if it leads out of the way we’ll just go back into the center but tell you what the um there’s not much lit at the moment I it’s quite cold not many people probably going outside it’s quite early in the morning but looking all right doton at the

Moment not doton sorry I’m in uh what was it I’m inan forgot what place I’m in now but you know it’s looking okay right this path I’m on at the moment just keeps going and going across the road so I’m not going to follow that but per B Greenway don’t know how long

It is but a lot of the uh cycle paths and walkways in Yorkshire quite long so get a little view over there oh now there nothing but all like that for a nice Sunday morning or something like that or on a day like this where it’s nice and good weather so

Let’s get to the actual Estates right I’m not getting the The Vibes that people told me people said it’s the roughest estate and outskirts in Huddersfield and potentially oia people saying the stabbings I haven’t even seen anyone I Haven seen one person litter is not that bad just looks

Like your normal street that you see anywhere on the outskirts of a town or a big city I mean I’m here early maybe all like the uh smack kads and stuff like that uh don’t come out in the morning maybe it’s a long over you know what I

Get a bit annoyed really that it’s not as uh well just had this vision of it being horrible and litter everywhere couple of cardboard boxes McDonald’s rappers and stuff like that but you get them in the poshes of areas so yeah maybe found some e maybe this is the first Hidden

Gem I would’t really say it’s a gem looks like it’s place where kids come or adults or whatever maybe have a couple of cans shoot up who knows yeah but again it’s just just some Woods in it you get places like this everywhere where people

Round where I live where I live is supposed to be a desirable area it’s got more litter than this but uh but yeah it is cold and it is early so maybe I’m missing all the uh the Grim people that are supposed to live around here not all of them

Obviously most people who live around there will be nice people but it’s situated in a nice area this cuz hudders feels quite close you’re close to a train station bus routes into Manchester into lead you can be in leads in half an hour be in Manchester in 45

Minutes and I reckon the house prices here are fairly cheap and you got good views don’t know if you can see the views of that you got that big emore Mast or whatever it’s called Uh you could probably see Castle Hill from here somewhere all right all right Deon but

Let’s get to Dalton see if that lives up to its name that apparently I’ve been told so we’ll start Ming back towards that way found the first abandoned building of the video uh I don’t know how to get there but like it’s gated off don’t if you be

Like that so I think this is all you get in when you live here that takeaway that you won’t get a takeway from that Prem you’re in there’s a few row shops let’s see what you can get at 11:00 at night just from around the corner in Deon there’s always rubbish outside

Every corner shops and stuff like that you can get yourself a taxi shaft spice as well hair and body unisex so you know you can go there where you Misses Arrow cars chemist and a butchers oh and there a chippy Mega chippy cross the way you know if it’s fishy

Friday or something like that oh and there’s a traditional sandwich shop that’s what you get from your shops in Deon right it’s doton time anyway I know I’ve keep saying it but I thought i’ keep walking to see if there’s any more hidden gems but I think we’ve seen

It so let’s cross over the main road it’s about 5 minute walk check out Dalton stumble across this on the way over to Dalton your way in and that nice old deric building don’t look like there’s a way inside but we’ll go around the side have

A look see if we can get in somewhere camera’s all over it but I don’t know what this used to be maybe a hotel who knows there’s no signs giving me any indication of what it used to be like let’s see in there could be some squats in there let

See if we can get a c on the back quite there yeah I have no idea what this is maybe a wedding venue or something like that some old walls there what this is here looks like is a garden room or something like that security system in operation

Walking down there maybe there’s like another building another cheeky Hidden Gem I told you I knew we’d find a Hidden Gem nothing more on that so I’m going to walk to Dalton estate now it’s a bit later in the day so maybe we’ll see some of these smack heads are apparently there

And how rough it is I’m only saying that just cuz that’s what people told me I’m yet to see any of that yeah she was kicking off don’t know what’s happening there I think I got the wrong place or something it’s quiet around here now I went on Google

Maps and I went to like the center where the circle of a load of houses like the estate but just looks like your generic 80s style of State it’s it’s quiet can’t see any people kicking off no fights litter is all right it’s your normal UK Yorkshire place to live keep mooching now

Bit of light TI in there but you get that everywhere little guinel cut for w apparently where there’s a row of shops but it’s not too bad Brandy definitely not as bad as what people have said about Dalton and Deon where just come from it’s just your typical Yorkshire

English outskirts of anytime really it’s no rougher or nicer than any other place it’s just yeah it’s typical default little area really now I’m just walking across a park a well-kept park again not much litter grass has been cut I mean the sun does make it if it’s chucking it down it

Be a bit more depressing but there still won’t be more litter just cuz it’s chuing it down so big part this yeah be out in the summer few bevies make sure you clean up after yourself though school over there somewhere I don’t know if you can see that school’s there

Rough not the best but still ain’t rough now most of these Flats behind me will be Council so a lot of them for old people some of them will be bought but that’s your typical sort of Flats Council sort of buildings like these Flats in front of

Me like to see all around West Yorkshire and most of the UK that’s built by the local Council and cly’s Council building Library it’s just across the way and there’s also another sort of Center here so yeah that’s the typical sort of council house building flat we see all up and down the

UK nice bit history here nice and well kept AP from that ruins it a bit so yeah that’s the end of my tour Dalton and decent in Yorkshire West Yorkshire to be precise now it’s not what people told me or what I’ve read up online maybe just in the wrong areas but

I’ve done a bit of walking seems to be just Council buildings small little Parts dotted about Here There and Everywhere so Bin’s been set on fire there uh yeah so this is only a little stop off anyway on route to Huddersfield because apparently Huddersfield has been done up recently

Since last time I was there about a year and a half ago so I’m going to go back there give it a bit of a slagging off last time a lot of people in comments weren’t happy so we’re going to do a bit more research visit a few more places when
