Transport Dallas Texas has limited walkability due to its sprawling development pattern and and car Centric culture the city’s infrastructure is designed to accommodate motorists which has resulted in fewer pedestrian friendly streets and limited bike Lanes it is extremely difficult to get by without a car as public transportation

The tiny smattering of parks within its borders not that people walk in Dallas or take advantage of the poultry public transportation system or even bike on the scant number of bike Lanes the only way to get from point A to point B is generally to drive and given the

Oversized amount of space the route is hardly ever a short short one what’s worrying is 9 years later things have not improved in fact in August 2023 bellhop movers reported that thanks to Dallas’s low Transit score this causes many residents to walk around on foot however that doesn’t necessarily mean

That it’s safe to do so in fact the Dallas Morning News reported that Dallas City Council Members have created a strategy for eradicating traffic fatalities by 2030 as a result of the city’s High annual rate of pedestrian accidents they noted that 66 pedestrians lost their lives in 2020 while

System doesn’t offer much help in tackling these pedestrian issues in fact Dallas has long faced public transport problems the primary concern is the lack of an efficient and well-connected system the city currently relies on buses and Light Rail trins to provide transportation to commuters but the routes are not extensive enough to reach

All areas of the city in fact Dustin pittz a dallas-based real estate agent noted this as one of the 10 reasons why Dallas isn’t for everyone stating that buses are inconvenient if you live in the suburbs meaning you will have a long walk until you reach the nearest Subway

Or bus station reason number six the weather Dallas is known for its hot and humid weather especially in the summer months with temperatures often reaching over 100° f fit and humidity levels soaring it can be unbearable for many residents this extreme weather can be especially challenging for those who

    1. I’m getting tired of yall non Texans complaining about Texas city’s bruh I see nothing wrong with Dallas. And good we don’t need no more non Texans people it’s already too much in Houston please don’t let Houston be the next Los Angeles or Texas being like California please don’t come here if your going to complain just leave and never come back, if you ain’t from here ain’t nobody gon except you to like it

    2. NOT ONCE was I able to step outside my vehicle at any gas station, or shopping center without beggars getting in the damn way. Some really could use help, most are young capable lazy fhawks. I HATE to even drive in that area now. Horrendous and rent is through the roof. NOT WORTH the Carrot, do yourself a favor and visit once before you move/take that job- it may change your view. Currently happy as heck north of Austin. oh and WTF is that! just parking on an actual roadway/street- no lights, no warnings- just cars in actual roadways- because ?? yeah Dallas. Garbage can.

    3. Moving to Dallas is more than just having Dallas (the city) as your only choice. I live in Frisco. If you want to see a great place to live in the DFW area look at Frisco, Allen, McKinney, Southlake, Grapevine, etc. There are several videos on YouTube about these areas. They are some of the best places to live in the US. Also, many large companies are in these suburban cities. Help wanted signs are everywhere. We only go to the Dallas to visit my daughter and son-in-law and they live in a great North Dallas area near University Park. I have lived in Indianapolis, New York City area, Tampa Bay area, Memphis and Los Angeles. Frisco and many areas of the DFW metroplex are fantastic places to live and work and that is why so many people want to live here and are moving here.

    4. This says there is no lake in the city yet one of the largest urban lakes in North America (White Rock Lake) is located just a few miles from downtown Dallas…

    5. Nah, we love living in Texas.
Dallas is good but we prefer Ft. Worth.
      Y’all haters…don’t come, we’ll survive. 😘

    6. Chile most of the construction is shopping centers like plazas and small s*** it ain't tall gleaming skyscrapers like Austin and it sure as hell doesn't hold a candle to what's going on in Houston I mean Houston has literally 10 business districts that all look like different downtowns scattered around the city and then they have their main downtown in the center and those business districts have residential populations and workforce populations that rival some major cities and small towns

    7. It’s not the traffic that is the issue. It’s the lack of driver courtesy on the roads. Use a blinker for what? No one cares if you’re about to miss your turn, they scoot up and block you from getting in front of them. It’s ridiculous. Never dealt with such rude drivers in all of my life. It sure if it’s the natives or what but I’m over it.

    8. I liked the video report. I watched it because I had visited the city of Dallas nearly two and a half decades. I noticed the poor public transportation system even then. The city must have seen a huge amount of change during the intervening period. Hope the city provides a well run metro system connecting all the important localities and distant suburbs.

    9. The suburbs of Dallas were very very good places to raise kids in the 90's and early 00's. Basically a huge cohort of well educated boomers moved here during the 80's from all over the country and they had kids who became the millennials. Well, that's ancient history now lol. I lament the past that no longer exists, but you have to move on. I think the right move is to try and find the next Dallas where young vibrant talent will flock to and have children. The BAD parts about living in Dallas have always existed and never really changed…it's just that a lot of the GOOD parts about Dallas are long gone. Sad, but oh well! Just gotta live somewhere else!

    10. I don’t know where do you live all the big cities have the same problems that you’re mentioning but isn’t fair that are promoting and inviting to the people not to live or buy a property over here in Texas , what I think about you is that you’re democrats and someone is paying you to upload this stupid videos one more thing is probably that you’re living in california

    11. I'm in the DFW metro and I effing hate it here. It's overcrowded, copy-and-paste bullsh1t, and hotter than hell. Leaving next month.
