Hello guys welcome back to another Blu-ray hunting video yes we are filming a new blu-ray hunting video today slightly different um than last week because this weekend in order to get a video out I had to kind of on my lunch go to uh the store CeX and HMV and

Cardiff and film the footage uh which I’ve previously done bought something last week but I didn’t have my car I was doing the whole work thing and all that so yeah know I kind of what they call it like machete filming it I guess and so I’ve already been to the store I’m

Filming this like intro after the fact and then I’m going to like cut to the store and then all that jazz um but yeah we’re back for the second episode of 2024 um I want to see a massive thank you to everybody who watched last week’s

Video because last week was I think my fastest growing Blu-ray hunt ever um I had 2,000 views within 48 hours and I had 1,000 views within 20 24 hours which always was like my metric when I was at my height that the video was going to do

Well um I think at the point of filming now a week later it is about 2,300 2,400 views so an amazing amazing start I am not expecting that this week obviously it we love to get would love to get that every week I also gained like 50 odd

Subscribers so hello to all 50 new people on the channel welcome um yeah we are getting back into this filming and stuff like that also um filming a little bit differently as I said I’m filming in my uh like studio room I guess Cinema room um to be confirmed that is

Obviously this room is going to be totally overhauled um as I did say last week there is a vlog channel that is launching um I’ve actually rebranded it and I’m happy with the brand and all that and the first video actually has gone out um today at the same point of

Because I’ve got a lot on my plate I always see the movies side is my like number one priority the movies channel is the one that I really enjoy doing the most I like going to the cinema it is the one that for me is going to be like

I’ll upload a video over there before anyone else so have no fear the movies channel is like my main Channel You could argue um you know because that’s where a lot of like my audiences come from obviously if you don’t really care about things going on in my life and you

Don’t want to see me film my dog and go on holidays and you know go to a concert and film all that then of course you hav’t G but if you want an extension like a behind the scenes I guess then uh stay tuned um so yeah the first Vlog

Actually is going to be I did like an introduction video um today but tomorrow’s video is actually going to be um like the first Vlog which is is actually like doing my office setup which I’ve done over the last few weeks I’m also going to be doing this room

Which is very exciting I’ve got some plans I’ve got like Vision in my head of like what I’m going to want it to look like it’s uh it’s a very exciting project that I’m looking forward to actually starting very very soon it’s one of those things I want to start like

I can start now but I can’t because I need to think about when I can film it and dedicate the time to do that um so yeah over the next couple of days I will be rejigging this room around a bit so this this whole setup might change a

Little bit um but let’s just say I’m kind of making a bit of a background for the videos so that when I film videos there’ll be a decent background may even be some like cheeky LED lights in the background so you could say that when I’m watching a film that maybe has like

A red theme in the poster or artwork or something then I can set the lights behind me to be red OB we got my light and all that and I can really you know make the videos look a lot better as well I’m going to put a lot of effort

Into that but also I want to just be able to come in sit down press record and then you know do my smart stuff does all the the stuff that it needs to do so it’s going to be good I’m looking forward to it it does mean I have to

Make sure my shelves will be tidy at all times because a lot of the time they’re not but it is what it is anyways that’s the updates done for the week let’s get on with the Blu-ray hunting video of course we went to Cardiff this week so

It’s the first one of the year that we’re going to Cardiff went to com Brown last week so let’s go to Cardiff HMV and CeX and let’s see what we can find okay then here we go HMV or the HMV shop in Cardiff it has had the new Rebrand first

Thing we’ve seen the big sale and we’ve Barbie Here $6.99 on DVD 9.99 on Blu-ray or $1 199.99 on 4K the price difference is just ridiculous for 4K in my opinion I think that needs to come down I’ve said it many times Avatar there in 1999 as well and also Transformers the

Forgettable the new movie two for 30 uh the exist believer again another terrible movie 25 quid whoever would pay 25 quid for this is insane terrible film new this week though we’ve got Oppenheimer Titanic and the Exodus day but I’ve never never seen this in person either which is the Grand Turismo movie

Based on true story love this film reviewed on the channel it’s going to be a definite 4K pick up for me it doesn’t look like it’s got a slip cover but yeah definitely want this equalizer 3 this is a movie I didn’t get to in the cinema I

Did actually watch numbers one and two at home didn’t film any videos on it um but I never actually got around to seeing this in the cinema they also have these little booklets now it’s like the the best um from HMV like of the Year nice little bucklet of all the little

Things to just cycle through and have a look uh that is definitely going in my basket I will take that and as you can see then they’ve put some of the stuff from the year all in a little section a movie I never saw this year was asteroid

City I believe this is now on Amazon Prime in the UK um but it is $9.99 for the pickup got it I missed this it was only in the cinema for a week uh past lives one of my films of the year if You’ watched that video uh $4.99 Blu-ray

Love the actual look of this no 4K release unfortunately um but this may have to do definitely considering pick this at Babylon is only $6.99 now on Blu-ray which is really tempting consider it comes with an Atmos track but it’s not on you know it is on 4K as

Well but for $6.99 that’s a pretty good deal in my opinion especially when I want to rewatch it next then we’ve got bones and all uh this is the Timothy shalamay movie I did watch this when it came out initially again this is a hdmv exclusive really um weirdly rather but

It’s also $6.99 so maybe something I’ll pick up as well to be honest with you um Doctor Who has caught my eye here this is the 11th season now I am not a doctor who fan I have got to put that out there all of the are moving I believe now to

Disney plus so maybe I’ll catch up and watch them one day but I just like appreciate like the photoshopping of some of these like whoever does the design and artwork of these is fantastic like seconds n like all of them just they just pop like I don’t know what it

Is but they just look different and new and fresh and I really like look at that resolution looks class like whoever’s doing the design of these artworks I think is just it’s just perfect it looks really really good like awesome like I really appreciate good design you know

Um but yeah this is 1999 I think this is the new one with David Tenant coming back uh the whole Christmas specials that he did um these are the box sets as well that apparently are like really worth a lot of money I think some of them are collector’s box sets and other

Them are just standard ones that’s like the collector’s bun so yeah some of them went for mental money in CX The Flash though on $77.99 on sale $9.99 for fast X on sale all standard Blu-rays and Shazam as well fury God we also got Megan here for $6.99 and here just

Selection of some of the other stuff that HMV have on sale currently uh here quite a few movies here I have seen and reviewed on the channel yes there we go some decent stuff there in both those stores from what I remember um there was

Quite a few bit at Tom Bobs it was actually went there again today cuz I went to the cinema to see a film so I did nip in I had some stuff I wanted to trade in um but yeah it was really decent to actually you know go back to

Cardiff and stuff Cardiff for me CeX wise is like really fell off like even before like wasn’t when I W even filming these videos I don’t know if you guys get that with like a c St by you but like Cardiff is really me right now I

Don’t know what it is every other CX store is like more more decent I guess but some reason not good some things did come into play though in terms of when I was actually filming I uh I was questioning myself did I pick something up now this has been an ongoing thing on

The channel for all you new people I haven’t archived my collection I never have done it um I’ve never done it with anything recently actually I have done it with my vinyls on discog um on the app on there and it’s actually pretty decent however my movies I haven’t even

Haven’t got the fog yet um well I don’t even know where to start you know what I mean it’s one of them it’s like I don’t know where to even begin with that so in a nutshell I was there questioning did I buy it but for the sake of how much it

Was which is £250 I just thought screw it I’m going to buy it so if you guys are watching the Vlogs um got a couple of months ago now maybe you guys will know that I picked up um the Tas season uh is this two is this the second season

Yeah this is the second season of The Tudors and um actually in uh SE EX in Cardiff we actually managed to see there it is the first season as you guys saw so I was in the store and I was thinking did I buy this one or was it this one

Cuz they’re very similar covers as you can see but I didn’t know which one I picked up before you can even tell like I haven’t even archived this one look cuz ien even took the stickers off it yet it was the quid this season was but

As you can see for 250 I did manage to pick up season uh one of the tudas which I remember now cuz I remember saying in the video that I can actually start watching it now because obviously that was season 2 um I love the period stuff

Uh it was all around like when the the queen and stuff passed away and I I remember buying like Mary Queen of Scots and around like earlier in the year like summer time I was really into like my Royals documentaries you know but not like the modern Royals more like Richard

The first and like all the people way back in the many many moons ago kind of thing um and you know I was looking up online around TV shows cuz I thought maybe that’s like a good area to get into it’s kind of a bit like Game of

Thrones you know and all that and the tudas was one that came up I believe it might have been a BBC TV show um but it’s not on anything like bbci player or anything like that um so I’ve got the first two seasons now of this which

Means I can start watching it which is great I’m definitely going to watch that um I’ve never really done you know M TV stuff on the channel obviously it’s always been movie focused but this is just something that you know TV TV shows for me are really hard to watch in

General anyways um but when I buy something I want to watch then you know great um so £350 for the two seasons is is a pretty good deal obviously I paid £250 for this one I did notice when I came home though uh as you can see here

There is like a crack on the screen on the case rather so I will have to replace the case I do have like spare ones uh lying around so uh yeah it’s quite an easy Switcheroo you just take them out them in the new case and Bob’s your uncle Fanny’s your anant that’s

What they say is it that is what they say so yeah I’m actually just going to switch this now while I’m while I’m filming because I might as well so this case I’m actually using is the old um buy the strip pajamas when again a long-term viewer would know that this uh

Was given to me well I didn’t this wasn’t given to me I bought this cuz I needed the disc to put into my B strip pajama steelbook which I had for free for CeX but now I can get rid of uh the artwork for that and also um put the

Artwork in now for this does mean I’m going to take the stickers off which is quite nice and I can just bin the case out of the way so this is the first season as I said um all the discs included there so inside we get um this

Is the new case now so it’s all all done so obviously the artwork and then we get uh little booklet guide there I think that’s an episode guide I believe haven’t actually looked into this didn’t look at it uh yeah slight episode guide so we get like a little bit of

Information about each episode and what’s going to be inside it it looks like just two sentences or a sentence just summarizing what’s going to happen uh then we also get all these like remember all these like Blu-ray things I always throw them out to be honest with

You because I like to keep it minimal you know so that’s the episode guide uh inside we get some like artwork there as well which is quite nice and then we get then the first disc believe they’re in order yet disc one disc two and then

Disc three so it’s three discs over an arm thing there so really nice set I’m going to put that back inside of course but as I say a really nice set I’m going to obviously bin this now all there cuz this is all old but a really nice set

Nonetheless um for the first season of The Tudors there and it will go nicely with my second season of The tors which now means I can start watching these two I believe there’s 10 episodes in each of these so not too bad um and both of them

Um you know have more or less the same backs well you know very dated stuff but I’m looking forward to seeing it have you guys seen the tors let me know down below if you’ve seen it other than that no other pickups I didn’t buy anything

Else it’s a very quick Blu-ray hunt this week didn’t see anything there as I said CX wasn’t very good I did have the intention of going to HMV to buy Super Mario Brothers um I think it’s part of two for 30 so I was going to get like

Two but I couldn’t find um Super Mario Brothers with a slip cover I think I’m going to have to accept de feet and just be like they’ve gone you know um I don’t know I don’t know I don’t know what it is they just disappeared that I haven’t

Seen them there for a while I’m going to have to maybe I think I looked last time in cumbran and I didn’t see any slip covers and I didn’t see any HMV in Cardiff either so let me know um is that a thing with like Super Mario movies is

The slip cover run now gone have they stopped it for some reason no idea um I remember it came with a slip cover I’m sure it did but I was hoping to get that on a 2 for 30 and then H get something else as well but plenty of time for that

We’ll keep an eye out for that I also feel with HMV recently that a lot of the HMV stuff like we used to get like the $9.99 with any pickups that stuff’s all kind of like really died down recently I don’t recall any films being that big

There obviously at the moment I believe it is Elvis for the Priscilla movie they are still doing with like things related so like things in the cinema versus you know you know they are doing that with releases obviously Kung Panda 3 maybe I don’t know if there’s any Kung Fu Panda

Movies on 4K so that may be like another one coming soon you normally can tell by like what films are in the cinema versus that you know like The Beekeeper now like why isn’t like Fast and Furious like seven and eight or something like maybe $9.99 because you know that type

Of thing um but we haven’t had that um for a while I feel like so yeah let me know if what you think about the 999 HMV thing as well so there it is then guys there is my pick up for today £50 so a nice decent one there next week I’m

Going to be going to a CeX store which is quite local to me but there also may be two c stores that we’re going to cover I actually have some time off in the week so I’m going to be using one at like my day off cuz it’s actually my

Birthday week which is great um I’m going to be filming some time um I’m going to film in the morning of my day off because we get like a birthday off for work which is quite nice so I’m going to film like the Blu-ray hunt in

The morning then come back and start the project in this room so the drill is getting out we’re taking we’re basically taking everything down not everything from the wall so we’re taking a lot of stuff down I’m starting again it’s so exciting I’m very excited so guys there
