Thousands of people joined a pro-Palestine rally in Washington DC on 4 November to call for a ceasefire in the war in Gaza and the end of US aid to Israel.

Say you have some guy goes out gets drunk and sucker punches the biggest guy in the bar and breaks his nose. The big guy gets up and knocks the crap out of the guy.

Apparently not realizing how destructive these peace-loving demonstrators are to themselves and their free way of life… they do not even… bother to think for a minute what life would actually be like for them if they lived in Gaza, Beirut, Damascus or Tehran. No one wants anyone to be killed except Hamas who celebrates killing innocent civilians. You protest while Hamas has innocent hostages- even children! Why don't you protest for release of all the hostages and then for peace. Hamas has said that Israel "doesn't have a right to exist." So when you protest are you protesting for the destruction of all Israelis?

Hamas is not a nationalist group, it wants an Islamic state across what is Palestine and Israel. Hamas has committed a massacre of civilians and did rape and murder. They launched rockets at civilian targets, use the Palestinians as human shields, and Israel is the bad guy for defending themselves and routing out an Islamist group. In any military activity no matter how hard they try (the IDF do try) you can't avoid civilian deaths especially when Hamas wants civilian deaths and deliberately puts people in harm's way. There were people who were murdered for leaving their homes and trying to turn South. When you march in favour of Palestine, demanding ceasefires you are supporting this group whether you like it or not. You should be asking your preachers why I should support one group of people just because they share the same religion as me?
No matter what religion you are from, I am grateful to you, beautiful people, for giving your time to such a meaningful protest and showing that you are with the Palestinian people. May God grant you the true religion, Islam, according to your beautiful hearts.

The neighboring Arab countries attacked Israel in 1948. Among these were Egypt, Syria, Iraq, and Transjordan. Egypt would occupy the Gaza Strip and Transjordan annexed the West Bank.
On 29 November 1947 the UN General Assembly voted on the partition plan, adopted by 33 votes to 13 with 10 abstentions. The Jewish side accepted the UN plan for the establishment of two states. The Arabs rejected it and launched a war of annihilation against the Jewish state.
