‘Pedal’ is the brilliant short film created by Emily Dobbins-Dale using footage shot during our 1,600 km bicycle ride from the UK to Slovakia on £30 bicycles. The video features myself, Leah (www.thevegetariantraveller.com), Daniel, and Elliot. It is part one of a three part series that has now been screened on UK television.

There’s any two things you need for a cycle Jenny one is a bicycle and the other is desire to do it why am I doing this because I can’t can’t slip my life frequent regret free from the regret of not doing things that I want to do

Runner on this journey every day is important we wake up and every day makes a difference or remember what we did we’ve been given the choice of paying about 400 euros or going to prison for an undefined amount of time so we’re probably going to take the free bed in

The future I’m just by looking forward to the jail I’ve never been in jail my experience I do like bicycles but this is very very frustrating we’ve literally cycled for about five kilometres and the bicycles are broken again I ran over a thorn we were guaranteed 0% chance of

Thunderstorms today and the skies are absolutely hate them huge hailstones were just falling outside and we thrown up the tent and thrown everything in it and we’re now sitting inside in a forest I hate stubbing my turn very much and I’ve just got there on the right

When we have a problem will rise up we like to come in to be human is actually quite an amazing thing we can achieve an awful lot there’s always one of them is having problems we did a pain in the ass River is leaving the cycle of the man wants to

Live a memorable life not memorable to others not breaking records pushing boundaries that haven’t been pushed but just a life that matters to me there’s something chasing simple adventure always push yourself in life and to challenge yourself whether mentally or physically is very important without that we become idle and like no

Longer matters go back a little bit Oh jump with both feet off the ground and then look down it’s terrifying it was a nice little rating experience in the world you may fall may crash and burn but it doesn’t matter he would have jumped you’ll have done something that matters

With just cycle 1600 kilometers to get here and drink this pass Barrett now we’ve reached live IKEA the plan is to build a raft and I take this raft and float to Romania which is I have no idea over a thousand miles will it work I don’t know

    1. Just wondering, exactly how long did it take you to cycle that far? And how much did the bikes affect your progress? I'm just asking as I'm interested in doing something like this but have a time limit. Thanks 🙂

    2. In which country were you arrested for wild camping, and what happened? If I'm not in cheap digs I always wild camp, even in Germany and France, (and the UK), where it is illigal. I've been lucky so far and have never had any hassle. I'm hoping to do another ride across Europe from southern Ukraine back to Amsterdam this year., (2018), on my 25yr old touring bike.
