When drivers and pedestrians see a cyclist they think slow. In my case they're absolutely right but for fit riders they pull out, step out anyway even if they see you.

When I ride in the city I just assume that all drivers are thoughtless idiots with bad eyesight and that they are looking at their phones. I'm not going to argue with 3 tons of speeding steel.(Plus, I don't ride quite as fast as Mike…) I'm still alive…😅

I'm curious, Mike, why you'd want to ride around town, when you could get out into the countryside, away from most of the traffic?
I certainly enjoy "riding along with you two", but I have to say it is simply unsafe to ride on those busy roads. I would rather see you ride in a large group or on the quiet country lanes. I would hate to see you folks get hurt. While most folks are fine all one needs is a person texting, distracted, or simply a bad driver to have a nice workout end in tragedy.
