Hello and as usual a very warm welcome i am ferguson and this is what’s inside a game sportsmen of less recognized disciplines are doing their best to survive difficult times bike boom in pandemic one of the positive sides of the worldwide problem sports and politics they don’t walk arm and arm

And unfortunately they collide did you know that lucha libre freestyle wrestling has a strong tradition in mexico dating back to 1863 and the second franco-mexican war now the wrestlers face one of their biggest four ever the coronavirus pandemic since its introduction to mexico lucha libre has developed into a unique form of wrestling

Characterized by colorful masks and acrobatic maneuvers with its ongoing battles between heroes and villains nowadays the biggest villain in mexico is kovit 19. that’s why lucha libra wrestlers held a fair in honor of children’s day to raise funds as they struggle to support themselves a year into the pandemic we made a call

For a collection so we could celebrate our children and give them a gift one day later we are here the wrestling friends because lucha libre is a great tradition and a great treasure in our country wrestlers have remained visible during the pandemic volunteering in public health and vaccination campaigns

But many found themselves in a dire financial situation due to the cancellation of matches our fans have supported us by buying our items because we have not been able to wrestle so the character we created and obviously there’s an athlete behind it a person behind the character that

Brings it to life has been the means for so many of us to support ourselves by selling wrestling inspired equipment masks and mouth the wrestlers known as luchadores are not only fighting for their livelihoods many of them are fighting for their lives around 200 lucha libre competitors have died in mexico

Over the past year as a result of the coronavirus infection the coronavirus pandemic has brought many unprecedented phenomena to the world one of them is huge increase in bicycle sales the question is can the bike boom last more from martin novak in all the angles cycling has taken off during the

Pandemic as people seek ways to travel to work safe keep fit and cut transport costs the result is an unprecedented bike boom that began last year after the first lockdowns ended in many countries all over the world in the last year things have changed there has been a great interest from all

Types of people not only for doing sports but for commuters young people for example young people of a certain age who haven’t used the bike for 14 years are now interested again all segments of the cycling market have grown the bicycle has become a natural choice as means

Of transport it began to dominate as a safe individual vehicle on the way to work also more often than before it is chosen recreationally as a way to maintain health and good physical condition if i don’t show you the benefit of why i’m cycling and why it’s much safer and healthier for you

You won’t see the benefit of it like for me personally personal story when i started in april until december last year 2020 i had lost 20 kgs in that span just cycling no gym no running no dieting bicycle prices have increased significantly compared to the pre-pandemic times as has interest

In buying new two-wheelers new bicycles have been in short supply for months and some shops have entirely sold out city authorities in turn are trying to meet the new trend and provide new cyclists with the right conditions on the road the question remains is the bike boom simply a market response to

The pandemic like so many others or will the bicycle revolution stay with us permanently joining us now is a bike crazy and positive person an athlete freestyler and instructor bartosz ginza hello bartos hello everyone why do you think it is so um what does it come from this this need for riding bikes

Because just because of the fact that you can do it alone you can go anywhere you wish you know in my opinion our government close everything and people want to feel free and running reading riding sorry riding and running is only one way to feel freedom downhill enduro pump truck

These are different styles of bike riding you do and you teach them but i wonder do you ever practice regular road cycling or you consider it boring maybe no it’s i don’t think it’s boring i do road this from time to time for recovery right or refresh my mind so it’s fun

But what you do professionally and what you teach are the forms of bike riding that are different from what we normally do going to work going shopping you use bikes with suspension with hard suspension and this is your favorite way of biking why it is so yeah i i teach

People who want to uh riding enduro downhill riding safety on the bike parks so this is kind of my my work kind of my job uh-huh uh and you’d also do it professionally you consider yourself more an instructor or professional writer uh i was professional rider for five years for

Maybe 10 years uh now i am instructor i’m trainer but sometimes from time to time i take part in bike competition in racing because i love it you do this weird competition or you used to do weird competition that is downhill on escalators and yeah yeah so uh why was that so

And who came up with the idea i don’t know i think it was czech republic guys from czech republic it was fun because it was only on winter time so we don’t have we don’t have any any idea to to racing so it was fun for me for competition

Competitors but also for for spectators yeah we have like 10 000 spectators so it was fun it was good racing close racing because you know you have maybe that kind of space when you go right so it was it was fun have you ever tried it unofficially

That is in regular shopping mall without uh the whole security uh no no no no i do only with with with in competition sorry in competition i try to to training this part but outside on the stairs in the city or something but never in shopping sorry shopping center

One can say that cycling is for everyone uh and everyone can do it but is it really true yeah it’s it’s true if you if you only want take your bike take your helmet and go right and have fun believe me it’s it’s fun i guess that most people think they can

Ride a bike they can do anything with it and they know everything about it but if they really jump on bike and you can see them probably uh you have different opinion yeah people people thinking can ride a bike yeah but only on city bike trail city bike lane but they

When they go to mountain trails you need better technique you need better feel the bike so you need also some some school with with with your skills so so i think all all of the people need to go for for leaders school this is not popular but is it becoming

More and more popular to learn yeah how to cycle yeah yeah people go to mountain doof have lapse on bike parks maybe and they they think about um i have problem with jump i have problem with turns so maybe i go to to to barters to me

For for one hour for two hours of teaching and this is good good way for for our safe this is good way for our safe to feel safe on the trails is downhill most difficult of the styles that you practice and that you teach when you go downhill without technique

Is very dangerous the same in deer jumping when you go for big jumps and want to do some tricks you must you must practice on the small step by step so if you if you want if you want if you want to be fast you must training

All day all night still training what you do now semi-professionally is pump truck why it is so uh because it’s relatively safe no for you it shouldn’t be a problem that it’s dangerous but it is relatively safe isn’t it yeah it’s real relatively safe uh for all

Of us for kids for youngsters for for all those so it’s good uh good road to have better technique on your bikes and people love it or youngsters love it yeah because there are more and more pump trucks in poland for instance that are built yeah you you don’t need to pedal on

Bicycles and this bike when you go pumping these bikes are moving so it’s fun and and also very very good training for for for all kids you work with kids this probably gives you a lot of fun and they learn fast so you can see the progress very very fast what’s the phenomenon

Of teaching kids yeah this is the best part of my job i think kids in this time doing crazy stuff but they learn how to do it safe i see how they progression how they live with passion and i see how happy are they with with this biking with with passion and

You can if you compare uh grown-up and a kid like a 10 year old and uh 30 year old definitely this younger one will learn quicker am i right yeah learn learn quicker yeah this is it the all the oldest guy uh have big problem with with muscle

With thinking about how to how to write correctly and and the last probably the last question um what do you think about e-bikes that is electric powered bicycles there are mixed opinions uh it’s fun uh e-bike is fun when you when you try it you will be think

You will be thinking it’s fun it’s big fun you uh it’s possible to go more than on the normal bike and you have still power for good party after ride for me the problem with e-bikes is that some people are using them in a cities when they are not using their muscles

Almost at all because these bikes are not for riding in the cities but for mountains right i use this bike in mountains so i have e-bike mountain bike so it’s hard to say about about city but i i have big fun when i go for e-bike in in mountain

You can really get tired right yeah good time thank you very much bartek thank you for your time and professional insight all the best on tracks here and there and watch out for people on escalators in shopping malls because they can watch out right thank you very much goodbye

Take care thanks we’ve just been talking that sport is supposed to be the source of energy happiness and joy for everyone involved in whatever way there is no place for those who think differently and sports society has voiced that desire once again football club started players athletes and a number of sporting bodies

Joined and carried out a four-day boycott of social media in an attempt to tackle abuse and discrimination on their platforms this is what we call proper sports social network as much power as we have as a unit or as a society we should try to to to to use in this moment and

I hope i really hope it has an impact jurgen klopp’s feelings are shared by major part of sports family not only livable fc we’ve had enough of these cowards who hide behind their anonymity to spew out their noxious ideologies said alexander chafferin uefa president the england and wales

Cricket board was one of the first to confirm that all 18 first class county sites as well as regional women’s teams and professional cricketers association will stand shoulder to shoulder with the football community england rugby along with leading clubs joined the boycott as well their social media remained silent one

Of the first to observe and tackle the problem was formula one’s best driver of all times lewis hamilton who wrote at the end of april sport has the power to unite us let’s not accept abuse as the part of sport but instead let’s be the ones who make the difference for future generations

The show of solidarity against online abuse hope to encourage companies to take a stronger stance against racist and sexist abused by users hope also expressed by sky sports journalists hunger strike and gold medal on auction this is the way in which athlete andre krauchanka would like to point out the problem of

Political repression in belarus he wants to support the families of political prisoners and tell people that they are not alone this story in our regional impact one of the most successful belarusian athletes won the silver medal in decathlon at the 2008 beijing olympics he then became the european indore heptathlon champion

And is currently putting up his gold medal from paris 2011 up for auction he also started a 10-day hunger strike i had some kind of internal urge to do this because the repression isn’t subsiding that’s why i wanted to sell my medal in order to support the families of political prisoners

Hunger strike is i don’t know a desperate move internal intention to help people understand that they are not alone there that they have support belarusians have been protesting in the streets for many months they claim that the presidential election in 2020 was rigged but the country’s leader alexander lukashenko denied the election fraud

Police arrested over thirty thousand people in a series of ongoing political demonstrations and protests kaochanka 35 compared this situation to an injury in 2011 when he had a problem with the achilles tendon people are in prison they are suffering there when i competed for this medal i also suffered

I had a serious injury i high jumped six kilograms during the first three days of the hunger strike this medal can be purchased at an auction on ebay the price is currently around two thousand dollars he was dreaming of swimming at the tokyo olympics but gave up because of politics myanmary swimmer has

Called for boycott of his country’s olympic committee which he brands a puppet of the military regime in his south east asian homeland martini van kevish has more when he was supposed to compete in tokyo in the 50 meters freestyle he earned the promotion of the 2019 southeast asian games

I decided to reject any participation to the tokyo olympic games under the auspices of the myanmar olympic committee because i believe the myanmar olympic committee is a puppet olympic committee of the military regime in myanmar that has been accused of genocide the swimmer is based in australia

As a military hunter ceased power in his homeland on the 1st of february the democratically elected government led by the nobel peace prize winner aung sang was ousted by the army hundreds of people were killed in a bloody crackdown on descent at the very least i expect the ioc to

Send an investigative team to myanmar if they can because i do have fears that the many myanmar athletes are being intimidated or threatened to either participate in the olympic games or in international sporting events since world war ii myanmarese athletes started in every summer olympic games except in montreal in 1976

They have never won a single medal their homeland is still in turmoil for the first time in their history grupa azote zaksa and jason kosler triumphed in volleyball champions league the polish team mastered a four-set victory over three-time winners and favorites trentino itas of italy to celebrate in verona

Let’s have a look at it in the whole picture we bring the continental trophy to poland for the first time since 1978 a really long time it’s amazing says the super finals top scorer and mvp alexander schliefke and he continues we had our ups and downs but we gave our best

It was a tough journey but we had confidence and it made us better players the serbian head coach nicola gribich explains the uniqueness of their feet i’m proud of these guys once more they were the best they could be when their best was needed and that happened so many times this season against

Many different difficult opponents we eliminated three of the world’s top teams we believed until the end and we really deserved to be the champions of europe cucina lube chibitanova in quarterfinals zenith kazan a last hurdle before the final entrantino to win the trophy this is the top three mentioned by

Grebbice it’s only the second continental crown for poland and the first one since the champions league format was launched at the turn of the century and that was inside the game do not miss our program next week i’m sergio surutel me and my team wish you a very

Pleasant and active week goodbye take Care
