In the final days of WWII, the paths of a blind French girl and a German soldier collide. Based on Anthony Doerr’s Pulitzer Prize-winning bestseller.
Ladies and gentlemen… …before I begin my broadcast today, I have something to say. In this time of darkness… of invading cities, I’m trying to remember, light lasts forever. Darkness lasts not even for one second… when you turn on the light. I know that broadcasting could get me executed.
But I will not be silenced. I hope you will tune in again tomorrow. When I was a child… I was trained to locate radio frequencies. The things that I have seen haunt me. Her voice was my escape. You are going to find her, and you will kill this girl yourself.
The Germans are close now. All the people of the world have become evil at the same time. Not all the people. We need to not draw attention to this house. Marie won’t be safe. I will find your daughter. If you fail, you will die first. I think you know by now.
You are sending messages that will help to win the war. We cannot give up to these monsters. France does not belong to them. Someone from our generation who thought if you talk reason, then maybe the insanity of this war might come to an end. I don’t know how long I have,
But I will remain here, where it all began. This is where it ends. I know you are up there! There is no escape! The most important light… …is the light you cannot see.

Watched the 4 parts of the film. It's amazing! Visuals, sound, music, acting and story – beautiful! A masterpiece in my opinion.
This was incredibly written. A real masterpiece.

War is so shitty. Humanity doesn't learn once or twice 💔
So that’s how ham radio nerds find you
I love it that’s how series should be 4 episodes and not dragging shit for years

Very beautiful…. A MUST WATCH!!!
They show a young girl is an excellent actress. Loberti is portrayal of a blind person is the worst.
Just watched and it’s Amazing … great acting especially from Aria
.
Great series.
It's to bad it isn't in the French and German languages…
I saw the mini-series in full yesterday. Fantastic. Is it a true story or is it fiction?
Looks like more Jewish propaganda
😍🥰
This was beautiful 🤍🤍🤍
Can't believe we have Jonas and the Unknown reunited in another Netflix show !!
I will never pay for Netflix again, so I won't be seeing this one. The book is wonderful, I've read it twice. And I'm sure this series is loosely based on the book which is not always uncommon.
Aria is gorgeous inside and out ❤
Should have been in native languages, big miss
Perfect timing the age of wars is here
I watched the whole thing when I was on a 4 hour flight. Holy cow! That was the fastest flight I’ve even been.
Beautiful. Amazing.
I recently binge-watched this series for a whole day, and it left me with tears. I hope Shawn Levy and the producers reconsider and create a second season. I am not usually being interested in action or war-related content, but this series opened my eyes to the struggles people faced in the past and the impact of broadcasting on winning a war. Louis Hofmann's performance is great, and he deserves an award. I hope there'll be a season 2.
I think i won't ignored anymore those people who recommend me this book i should start reading this next month.
This was auperb 👏
Absolutely terrible. Can't believe they wasted this amount of money on this rubbish. Terrible script, terrible writing, terrible acting. Dire. Get your act together NETFLIX
I have absolutely no idea why this is getting bad reviews. I just watched it and it was fantastic. I’m completely perplexed by these reviews
I finally took the time to read this book, and it was one of the best books I have read in a really long time. I hope they do it justice.
Great mini series !
Didn’t realize Mark Ruffalo was in it… 🤮👎
I've read the book 3 times so far and I had no idea there's a movie, it's the first thing to watch now!!!!
While the story was good and the historical accuracy of uniforms etc was exceptional, there was a sickening over the top of cliches and stereotypes about the nazis. It detracts from the story and is historically inaccurate. The scenes about the school were notably ridiculous.
2:25 even felix kammerer is in it
Who played the mc in all quiet on the western front
