In this episode, I take the train up towards Courchevel to watch Pogacar crack during the searing heat on the queen stage of the Tour de France.

Just down the road as I’m setting off so I might call in there get some supplies in but yeah I don’t need to buy those of food for tea cuz I’m probably going to go out with my dad later so yeah that’s pretty good going um still need to do

Uphill there just of a a 2K drag about 3 or 4% but yeah my legs are a bit tired after the last few days but yeah it’s not too far to rille I probably got bik to eat somewhere through there and then just it’s just up the Valley now to Aliva I always find it quite weird that despite being a very normalized town alvil is actually an Olympic host City it hosted the 1992 when Olympics and where I’m going up to like coral and marabel to watch the tour tomorrow is actually where they hosted a lot of the
Events it’s quite cool just you wouldn’t expect it from a town with such a normal population well my gin sent me along a great little bike track along the river this is lovely well I’m seriously glad today’s ride’s easy it’s about 35° here I am absolutely roasting it’s only probably another 40K

Doing any climbs after I arrive at the apartment I might be just sitting in the shade and chilling out I think that’s what I need to be honest with you it’s going to be a long day watching the tour tomorrow so yeah I think I’m just going
To have an easy one we’re just in the valley at the bottom of the climb now fortun there a bit of shade in here but I’m still struggling at least it’s G lovely and Seen right so I made to the apartment in alard oh it’s been a long hard hot day um yeah yeah I’m so tired I’ve got a really early start tomorrow cuz I’ve got to get a train at 7:00 a.m. to get up to moutier where the tour is cuz ironically
I was way close to it where I staying yesterday but I wanted to come see dad today so it was worth it but yeah I’m going to get the train up the valley at 700 tomorrow morning my way to the station now to catch the train to where
The tour is today but it is still about 20K down to the station now but yeah it’s mostly downhill so it should be all right I was also going to get one way earlier but I just I didn’t sleep very well in the apartment it was so hot last
Night so I decided to have an extra two hours in bed and get the get the 10:00 train rather than the 7:00 [Applause] train Right and we’re back in M this is where I went a lot as a kid so it’s quite nice to be back well I was a bit of fun watching the Caravan got myself a funny hat um just back where the big screen is now watching the race and then I can just

Train and then um got about an hour’s ride up from the station because annoyingly uh there isn’t a station where the accommodation is but yeah it’s been a good day I exhausted though now in that heat right so I’m just slowly in back from the train station now it’s about
20K though annoyingly but yeah and it’s a headwind but I basically did this ride in Reverse this morning so it’s not too bad except for it’ll be mostly uphill now on the way back it’s downhill this Morning
