2024 is almost upon us and every single year as a huge Mario fan myself I have to do a video like this because it gears me up for something to be excited about as someone who’s a huge Mario fan it’s one of the things that I love the most

About Nintendo and getting excited to see new Mainline and even spin-off Mario games that could be coming is super exciting so just like we did last year we are going to be talking about what to expect from Mario in 2024 so yes we’re going to be talking about every single

Mario game that could happen we’re going to be talking about the things that we know some of the rumors that are out there and also any other possible spin-offs or side games that includes Mario characters such as a Donkey Kong game a Yoshi game and other things in

Guys a little heads up now all right first let’s start off with what we know for 2024 with Mario so first off we have Mario versus Donkey Kong coming out in February February 16th to be specific and this is a kind of remake remaster of the very first Mario versus Donkey Kong

Game that came out on the Game Boy Advance which is just kind of crazy that we’re getting this game again it’s going to be a fun game for sure it’s going to be a very short one as well and I don’t know if a lot of people are very excited

About this like at all besides like me and probably like a handful of others thankfully I have huge Nostalgia for this game so I’m actually excited about it but it’s nothing super crazy it’s just a 2d puzzle platformer um that you kind of have to like find a key make

Your way to the door save the mini Marios and stuff it’s a lot different than the modern Mario versus Donkey Kongs but in my opinion it’s better for that case because this is how Mario versus Donkey Kong was when I grew up next up we probably have the big one

Which is a Mario spin-off technically involving Princess Peach called Princess Peach Showtime which comes out in March 22nd I do think Nintendo sees this as one of their bigger games for next year which for a lot of people may not be that because it just seems like it’s

Another one of those Yoshi games where people are like okay that’s going to be fun they play it and probably forget about it I think it’s going to be a good game nothing super special though I hope I’m wrong but it’s really cool to see Princess Peach and all her

Transformations and I’m sure there’s a bunch more that we haven’t seen yet so hopefully we get some more information on that soon and shows us some you know really good reason to be excited for it but yeah it’s going to be one of the big ones next year and one of the big

Probably the spring title and uh the thing that keeps us kind of entertained for the first half of the year which I hope it’s really good let’s just say that next up we have Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD which is also technically a Mario spin-off game um Luigi’s Mansion is

Actually evolving into its own like thing now like it’s becoming a big deal and I’m excited to see this because I know Luigi’s Mansion four is right around the corner um but yeah it’s a weird game as far as like old games Nintendo should bring back Luigi’s

Mansion 2 is is definitely strange but at the same time I’m glad that finally have it on a Home console I don’t have to pull out a DS in order to play this game uh but Luigi’s Mansion 2 is definitely different than the first game

And even the third game and a lot of people have their own opinions on it because it’s more Mission based instead of an open Mansion or even a hotel like Luigi’s Mansion 3 so it’s another port to the switch because it technically is slightly enhanced but it looks pretty

Much exactly the same to me every time I see it last but not least things that we do know Paper Mario the Thousand-Year Door HD which is just I cannot believe those words are actually like a realistic thing I’m not like predicting something this time around it’s actually

Coming and we don’t even have a release date to the thing a lot of people think it could even be like the next console or something at the end of the year but I’m expecting it to still be on the Nintendo switch just around like the

Fall or maybe late summer I just think it’s a little too far for them to actually give a date so yeah late summer fall area around the August time I think would be perfect before transitioning into hopefully that new console and some bigger things at the end of the year but

That’s all we know so far for Mario which is still a lot you know two Mario games and two spin-off Mario games that are confirmed is a pretty big deal now we move on to the second of our three categories being rumors so first off of

Course the big one the Big Daddy yes a brand new 3D open world Mario game apparently coming around the holiday season next year now of course this just makes sense it will be s years yes seven years since Super Mario Odyssey came out so Nintendo is definitely due to release

A brand new 3D Mario game and the rumors are saying it’s going to be a huge open world and it’s going to be either a launch title or just after the launch of the brand new console next year so I’m actually full-fledged expecting this to be the big granddaddy of next year I

Don’t think we’re going to have a lot of big titles at all but I think this is going to be the one and only one I think it’s going to be a lot of ports remakes and remasters leading up to this thing but that also means we could be be

Seeing it very very soon within an upcoming Nintendo Direct or some type of presentation for the next console it’s going to be huge it’s going to be massive we talked about this enough there’s not much else to say but a big 3D Mario game hopefully those rumors are

True next up we have some Mario Kart X or Mario Kart Crossroads is what the rumors are saying we don’t know much about it but apparently it’s been in development it’s going to be a pretty big deal for this next console now I’m saying right now we’re not going to see

This thing until 2025 for sure it just doesn’t make sense to be next year especially since the DLC just ended for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe but yes I do believe this has been worked on for a very long time and it’s the reason why we had the

DLC in the first place just to tie us over until this came out and that’s why also the DLC probably didn’t look as good as we wanted it to because it was just a tie over thing but yes Mario Kart X whether it’s going to be a big Nintendo cart including different IPS

And stuff like Kirby samis you know more Zelda characters or it’s going to be more of a Mario Kart you know focused still with Mario characters it’s hard to say uh but apparently this is going to be a pretty big deal and it’s going to look amazing on the new console but

There’s a very good chance that next year we see the thing I’m not saying that we get it next year but we’re definitely going to see at least a trailer towards the end of the year if I was a betting man remember all of those rumors that a Mario baseball game was

Coming like there were so many and especially last year we were really expecting it and nothing ever showed Mario strikker battle League was the last sports game we got and that came out in 2022 so yeah I think it’s time that we get another sports game we definitely should be getting baseball

And that’s what the rumor has been that it’s going to be a new Mario Baseball so I am hoping but I would take anything else honestly at this point like even basketball I would be very happy to see I still would love to see a Mario football but Nintendo is just like

Afraid of it I guess but at the same time I think it would be really great to have any of these honestly so I think a Mario Sports title is a safe bet for next year considering the fact it’s always something small they could announce that the Nintendo Direct and it

Could come out in the next couple of months like it’s just something along those lines hopefully they don’t ruin baseball like they did the other sports and make it extremely boring like every single Fielder is a toad and every single catcher for every team is just

Boom boom you know what I mean so hopefully they don’t just kind of ruin it with their modern take on these sports games that leads us into our next rumor which is kind of a Mario spin-off including Donkey Kong look I’m going to count it because it counts to me but yes

Donkey Kong oh my goodness it’s been since 2014 on the Wii U since Tropical Freeze and of course it came back out on the switch back in like 2018 but it doesn’t mean anything it we need a new Donkey Kong game whether it be 2D or 3D

And the rumors have been all over the place with Donkey Kong stating that there was a 2d game in development that the Odyssey team was actually working on a 3D game but we haven’t seen anything so it’s actually so surprising that we haven’t gotten anything from Donkey Kong

Especially with the new theme park attraction opening up and also a potential movie coming very soon I would expect to start seeing things from the Donkey Kong franchise to pop up very very soon as soon as next year and I think next year is a good chance

Especially if we’re waiting all year for the new console at the end of the year if there’s one more big game game for the switch I think it could be a brand new Donkey Kong whether it is 2D or 3D I would expect it to be 2D and then maybe

A 3D Donkey Kong later on and the brand new switches life cycle or whatever the next console is going to be but yeah whatever it is it’s got to be something Donkey Kong I would be shocked to the core if there was no announcements no releases nothing for Donkey Kong again

Next year it would be kind of a problem and finally for this section I know this isn’t a game but we could be getting some information on the Mario movie or the Donkey Kong movie or maybe even like a Luigi’s Mansion movie because that’s been rumored as well yes there’s been

Rumors all over saying that Donkey Kong movie is in production and also the Mario Brothers 2 movies in production which I think Chris Pratt has pretty much already confirmed that they’re working with stuff with that uh but an official announcement next year definitely sounds like something that

Could happen we just got the Zelda movie announcement so there’s a good chance that they could just say hey the Mario Brothers 2 movie is actually in development and here’s the cast you know it’s the same characters but maybe they like add some other cast members like

For rosalino Wario Waluigi or Bowser J the coings or something along those lines I can see the same thing happening for Donkey Kong showing the cast of the Donkey Kong characters lots of them returning uh but also new ones like ones for krule and stuff would be really cool

Diddy Kong Dixie Kong um but at the same time I think an announcement is definitely possible for a Donkey Kong movie for sure now let’s move on to the final category and this being any other possible game announcements that we could get number one I said what about a

New Mario Party look it’s been since 2021 since we gotten Super Mario Party and people loved it it was kind of like an ultimate remake including mini games throughout the entire series and also maps from the first couple of games and people loved this this was the return to

Form the way people wanted Mario Party to be classic maps and game boards and stuff and fun mini gamess it was awesome it’s just simple awesome Mario party fun I think Nintendo is starting to get their act together the same way they’re doing with Paper Mario now and the Mario

RPGs in general but they’re getting their act together and I think this next Mario Party game is going to be a true return to form but all new I’m hoping I would love tons of brand new boards that play like the classic style and tons of

Fun little mini games I don’t think you can really go wrong with Mario Party by just keeping classic boards in the game I mean seriously just having a fun roster of characters to play as some at least decent mini games and then boom have your boards you’re good to go they

Don’t have to do anything super weird or funky or any crazy new mechanic like bring a cart in even though I kind of like the the team cart thing I I liked it okay but anyways yeah I I think this would be a really really big one for

Next year especially since people love Mario party it’s been a while we used to get them like every year or every other year we’re due for a Mario Party game I know this is an absolutely bizarre one but what if we got some form of Mario

Wonder DLC whether it added a couple new worlds and maybe like a character or two and we actually had to pay for it and it came out in like the summer or something or what if it was like a free update that added like a challenge mode or

Added some like actual boss battles to the game besides Bowser Jor that would be really cool um I doubt it I really think everything was completely done with this game from the beginning there’s nothing else that they needed to add I think the developers even said something like that that they had ample

Time in order to complete this game in fact there was no you know release window or release time that Nintendo had to get this done by they just kind of worked on it until they were done so yeah I don’t think we’re getting DLC but

I had to put it out there just in case because there is a possibility the game just released so maybe Nintendo would feel like they need to add something I mean honestly I would actually say something is going to be added something extremely small but something in the

Form of an update for sure based on these smaller SC of games releasing next year I would actually be very shocked if we didn’t see anything from Yoshi I mean the last thing we got was Yoshi’s crafted world and that was back in 2019 I actually really love the woolly world

And crafted World Vibes and style like I would actually love to see a brand new style of game like this but in full 3d kind of like something along the lines of Kirby and the Forgotten land something that’s more like a linear 3D experience with a fixed camera and

You’re kind of just going through little obstacle courses but in 3D instead of just another 2D Yoshi game game and put that in the yarn theme I think that would be great imagine Yoshi running around an actual like playroom or bedroom or something along those lines with arts and crafts everywhere that

Would be really cool but yes I can see them also just straight up bringing over Yoshi’s woolly World which was a game on the Wii U brought to the 3DS and then now they could eventually bring it to the switch because it would always be

Tied to the Wii U and 3DS and I think it’s honestly better than crafted world it’s a really good game in fact I love Yoshi’s woolly world so I would love to see that return again but who knows now honestly after getting that awesome track in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe I would

Love just a new style of Yoshi’s Island rather it be like a new 3D form of Yoshi’s Island like Yoshi’s Island 3D oh my goodness that would be so good uh but at the same time I think anything Yoshi would be appreciated as long as if it’s

Not like the Yoshi’s New Island which oh that game I’m sorry I hate that game and finally our last game of the day I know this is one coming out of straight left field but what about Captain Toad I mean Captain Toad was a very unique little

Little mini game back in Mario Galaxy and kind of just slowly been making his way up into his finally own game with Captain tow treasure Tracker and eventually it came back out on the Nintendo switch and added some things like some new Mario Odyssey kingdoms for

Him to explore which was a lot of fun but it’s just a different approach to a 3D Puzzler and I actually really like it instead of just running and jumping on everybody you have to be very tactical with how you work with Captain Toad and how you move the stage around and click

On certain things and obviously it works on the switch because it’s out on the switch so there’s no reason why they couldn’t make a new one with maybe some bigger worlds to explore some bigger puzzles to find and solve and maybe giving Captain Toad some more weapons

And stuff oh my goodness I think this would be a great idea just kind of you know expanding on the idea and making it into a bigger full-fledged game because I believe this game was always like a $40 game yeah make it worth $60 by just

Blowing it up now you saw that it works there are some bigger themed levels like the minecart theme levels where you’re actually going through a full scale world so I’m hoping that they do some exciting things to see Captain Toad return I think he definitely should I

Think he’s just always you know doing something for instance he was in Super Mario Wonder um so maybe there’s like Wonder themed stages for him to explore and like Wonder flowers for him to collect I think there’s some really big possibilities for Captain Toad but wait

Wait we were not quite done yet there’s still one more thing that could actually technically happen no I’m not talking about Mario and Luigi no everything else just doesn’t sound likely but this one this one actually could happen Nintendo’s bringing back lots of old games right lots of Wii games GameCube

Games 3DS games everything you know to kind of end off on the switch what if they finally bring back Mario Galaxy 2 baby yes we have Mario 3D Allstars with 64 sunshine and Galaxy but we don’t have Galaxy 2 there’s no way that they continuously keep Mario Galaxy 2 on the

Wii only and it never see it again it’s not even on the Wii U technically so like come on Nintendo they have got to bring Mario Galaxy 2 to the switch just kind of upres it the same way you did with Mario Galaxy 1 one that’s all we

Need just slightly enhanced graphics and then just throw it on the switch please I don’t know how it would happen would it be like a free update for Mario 3D Allstar or would you have to pay for it I don’t know that’d be weird considering the fact that you can’t get Mario 3D

Allstar anymore unless they make it available again like digital purchase only or something for a limited time I don’t know somehow this has got to happen or if it’s just like a standalone game or like a digital buy only somehow Mario Galaxy 2 has to come back please

Nintendo so yeah those are all the Mario games that could come out next year including ones that were rumored and also the ones that are already confirmed I’m actually very excited for 2024 and I think just as big of a year for Mario as it was in 2023 2024 is going to have

Even more Mario goodness and I cannot wait to see what’s all to come we’re probably going to get some more information very soon around January or February within an upcoming direct or maybe even a presentation for that new rumored console but we’ll see what happens let me know in the comments down
