So today the cycling officially began! It was a relaxed day because Sofie likes to sleep in and wanted to leave at around noon, which was ok for me because I still had to do laundry (which didn’t happen unfortunately) and afterwards I went to Sofie’s hostel and together we rode out of the city of Riga towards the coast. We cycled through Jurmala, along the coast towards the west. We had some headwinds, but the weather was nice. We camped at probably the best campsite I’ve had yet, a couple meters from the beach! We had a good evening together and had some great chats. Afterwards it was time to go to bed.
Not much going on on this first day of cycling but it was a lot of fun!

[Applause] [Applause] Whoo guys it’s the morning commute you can notice it’s really dangerous on the street so this is gonna be the only vlog I’m making my way to the laundromat so I’ll see you guys there well that’s just great isn’t this yesterday she said tomorrow and today she says tomorrow again this is pretty

Much the only place in town I just need to wash my clothes for like an hour how hard can it be but she just doesn’t doesn’t want to do that so it’s a bummer what you do now we’re gonna store my clothes out out here put them in the right bag and then

I don’t know go to a coffee shop or something good till about twelve o’clock I’m gonna meet up with Sophie yeah there will be some time that I need a girl so this is so free she’s from Finland right but she speaks Swedish and yeah we’re we’re going to the same direction same

Day so I think that you’re gonna write together for a little bit see how it goes and looking forward to it first ride in like months as you can see I got this mirror here just for safety and you’re gonna make the most of it [Applause] so we’re cycling on the europeo routes right now which is an absolute lifesaver just great cycling path all the way that’s good just for the rest the roads here quite bad [Applause] [Laughter] Hey guys is probably the best games fault I’ve ever had it’s great I just don’t know about these swans here don’t like them they’re quite aggressive where I’m from so I don’t know it’s our campsite he’s above the shore lines over there nice great we had a great day I think

About 75 kilometers today so quite good for my first day actually like I don’t know six months I met so yeah that’s great it’s really cool here yeah I think we’re gonna have some dinner and yeah awesome stuff it’s great to be back in nature it’s off

Quick big fire now this is just the warmup it won’t get bigger actually so see that’s my meal tastes pretty okay but it’s not great it’s like a real proper Kent meal and I just improvise with like corn and rice the view is nice at least oh there’s a little cold though

But I mean it’s just been saying that it’s still light it is still it is like it’s 9 o’clock it’s freakin 9 o’clock and it still lights what is this oh my god this is amazing it’s just really really cold I think this would be like I don’t know 1 to 2

O’clock you know on winter day and around this location craziness it’s so amazing anyway I said I’m still getting used to it but uh yeah this this is just really a really great experience also traveling with someone else it’s pretty interesting they were both pretty different in our perspectives and stuff

So so it’s sometimes pretty hard to know like if she wants to take a break or stop or I mean I said like you can you can say whenever you want to take a break or something you know I just I like to cycle for like long stretches

And then take a break for only for lunch or maybe a snack in between and also of course the pace on which you travel like I was in front most of the time because I’ve got the year of Euler routes that’s what we’re following basically but I

Think I think it went okay Turner I’m gonna end the vlog here guys so thank you guys so much for watching this video please like it if you liked it please leave a comment down below please subscribe if you haven’t already and I’ll see you guys tomorrow but for now

Enjoy this real live video that I made of today’s crowds so see you tomorrow bye [Laughter]

    1. Cycling with other people is often problematic. Years ago I wrote a comedy about a cycling group. It was to be a radio drama, but that never worked out. Anyway it is a cycling group on a day-trip in England. At the end they have all gone their separate ways…

    2. Ooh wow, nice video.
In August im going on tour with someone else for the first time as well.
Looking forward to see how will it plan our for you two. Good luck! 😃

    3. Hi There, really enjoying your videos! Gotta question as I also like to put my tours on Youtube. How do you download those Relive videos so you're able to put them in your own? Thanks and happy touring!
