Hi and welcome to WannaGoBiking. My name is Arjan and it is time for a new Bikepacking Adventure! In June ’23 Peter-Jan and I started cycling from Folkestone towards Wales. It was a fun and beautiful ride along the south coast, Isle of Wight , New Forest, Bath and Bristol. My subsequent plan is to cycle in Wales for another week or so, but that’s from episode 9 onwards.
In this third episode we leave Brighton for the isle of Wight. As I’m still suffering from some injuries, we decide to take the train to Portsmouth instead, So a short ride today 🙂
Hope you like it, enjoy your rides and stay safe out there !

Hi and welcome to WannaGoBiking so today we are in Brighton in the garden of our lovely host Kirsty -hello ! yeah we had a fantastic  evening last night and very much enjoyed the hospitality so that was super cool first  experience for us at warmshowers

And a brilliant one at that so but I’ll ask Kirsty for an opinion uh later on but now for the most important news of course the weather so Peter-Jan what’s the weather  going to be? what’s the weather going to be? well it would be shady ,shady? or not, you are shady man!

And West, West as usual completely useless but we’ll have a go with it and now Kirsty, what is your  opinion? how would you rate us as your guests? Abysmal or Worse? fabulous guests ! very good guests, thanks so much, excellent

All right that’s it for from us we’ll head over to the Isle of Wight so see you along the way cheers bye-bye so we’ve just arrived on the Isle of Wight and will be, after 30-35k or so trip to our lodging for 2 days

We’ll start off with a little climb so that should be interesting so let’s see how the legs are yeah right last 13k of the day, yay super day  mostly by train obviously and by ferry but yeah sometimes you have to make means to  an end so that’s what we did today but the

Wrist is already doing better so good hope for the next couple of days right let’s go right that’s it for today very short actual  cycle ride was a bit of a travels, the train going from Brighton to Portsmouth and then the  ferry over to the Isle of Wight but

Uh yeah nonetheless great day out we’re in a  bit of a hurry now to get some food as there seem to be very few restaurants open on this  Sunday evening but uh we’ll give it a good try

Anyways thanks for watching I hope you enjoyed  it enjoy your rides and stay safe out there see you
