The pro peloton is always a safe bet for getting a look at the best road bikes in the world, and when it comes to aero bikes, even the UCI’s 6.8kb minimum weight limit can’t spoil our fun.

Taruna fallen sprint victories are often decided by the slimmest of margins and all the technical details count here are the top five arrow road bikes of the 2015 Tour de France ketosis Nordic hero Alexandre Christophe rides this rather classy looking gold black and red air rode CFS LX with all the Aero

Accoutrements you’d expect to find on one of the world’s most sought-after bikes canyons one-piece carbon handlebar deep section mavet carbon wheels and Shimano dura-ace di2 round off an extremely slick looking race machine though the bike is equipped with a fairly standard spec its rider is anything but even though orica-greenedge

Is Simon Gerrans crashed out of the tour on stage three we felt we needed to include Scott’s new foil as it’s so radically different from the previous generation the new foil drops the rear brake under the bottom bracket adds a 3d printed fairing behind the stem we assume for improved air flow either

Scott or orica-greenedge also came up with a rather neat idea of this seat post clamp cover that doubles as a race number holder after the widely publicized launch of trucks new Aero machine we got a closer look at Bachmann Leamas race ready set up just before the tour

Began track have taken full control of our teams bike with our in-house brand Bontrager supplying own brand breaks and the Aero ALS five wheels proprietary is the name of the game and as is the trend with a lot of Aero bikes now a one-piece carbon handlebar is bolted to the steer

Tube and raised by the way of some neat self locking spacers the new Madone is a machine that will polarize either you’ll love it or you laid it but after treks marketing claims and some of our own first ride impressions we’re keen to see how it’ll fare during the rest of the season

Ridley got into the arrow game early launching the first iteration of the Noah way back in 2006 this year Andre Greipel was notching up the Tour de France sprint wins on this latest version the Noah SL the Noah’s Fork has a funky design Ridley originally license from oval concepts dubbed the F split

Fork the design allegedly diverts some of the turbulent air from around the spinning wheel reducing arrow drag whether you believe that or not there is no denying that gripe o was able to win on this bike again and again and again we’re sure we would have taken some

Pretty serious Heat had we not included the new venge in this top five as only one of three new Vinge’s being right at the tour to say this bike is a head turner would be an understatement the striking vintage bias arrow fly handlebars allows for total cable integration through the headset

Something we’ve seen on the newman Dome as well for that clean-cut look after a number of change slips mid-race using FSA chain rings Cavendish has obviously put his foot down and made sure he’s using Shimano rings despite FSA being a key component sponsor the release of this generation of new Aero bikes is

Almost as exciting as the races themselves we’re kidding of course the bikes are way more exciting you

    1. BikeRadar The OG Scott Foil has that fearing behind the stem is because the sale version also has an integrated bar and stem like the new madone, venge and aeroad. Due to the teams sponsorship deal with PRO they've had to use traditional bar and stem 🙁

    2. According to Cav the brakes on New Venge sucks. Neither Cav nor Sagan used this one but they used their old bikes on tour. So I would say yes it looks good but looks like it is so overrated by its marketing campaign.
Would take Cervelo S5 or S3 over any of these any day…

    3. Guys, dont just do videos to fill up your pipe line by talking about always the same 5 bikes, canyon, trek, specialized, ridley and scott. There is so much more out there to be seen and exactly this is what I would expect from experts like bike radar!!! presenting the usual cases can do anybody

    4. Cervelo gets no love anymore. I guess they spend their money on R&D not marketing and PR.

I love my R5. Unless the landscape changes radically, my next bike will be an S5.
