Know is it time to move him on uh you know due to the injuries Etc um because at the moment you know he’s he’s become so unreliable hasn’t he um you know we’ve we we we’ve he’s done all right he’s done very well actually since he’s been at Newcastle but the injuries are

Now becoming more frequent and uh confirmation from Newcastle uh that of course he’s out of the Sunland game he’s also out of the Manchester City game at St James’s Park um so that’s a very disappointing uh outcome for not only Callum but for Newcastle United fans themselves and the

Way things are going at the minute we need our Strikers we need them firing we need them fit and um you know once again Callum isn’t fit and he’s going to be missing uh certainly the next two games and and possibly more you just never know with colum Wilson’s injuries do you

Um which is it to me becoming a bit of a monotonous situation it’s happening all the time now uh where we say oh he’s back for four or five games he’s doing all right um and then he sort of disappears again and injured and you know I don’t I don’t really think that

We should be rely on isach as well for for a long period of time because you know we we he’s just come back from long-term injury and we do want to push him too too hard uh but he has Callum has missed opportunities in the last few games as

Well um for me hasn’t been quite at it uh so you know I just wanted to get a feel of where you guys stand really on on Callum Wilson and um I also want to talk a bit later on about Eddie’s comments again after the game yesterday

Really really confusing me uh I don’t know what you guys think but look callum’s done all right but I think I read a a stat today saying that he’s missed 40% of the matches since he signed for Newcastle 40% he’s missed now his goal scoring record is fantastic

Given the amount of games that he’s been available for uh but when you see you sign a striker and he’s only there for 40% of the so he’s missing 40% of the games that’s a long time guys that is a very very long time to be without your

Number one Striker and look isach came in I’m not sure whether he came in to be number one Striker because you know I’m still not really convinced that that isach is a striker and out out Striker anyway I think he’s better cutting in from the left but he scored a great goal

At anfield last night of course and there there’s still a lot of um a lot of Anger from that game um not so much for the you know the V incidents and things like that but for the way we played and for me we need our Strikers

We need them fit we need them ready to go and you know does this now sort of open everything out for the transfer window and say it right you know there’s there’s no doubt about it um we need another striker in the transfer window I don’t think anybody can say that we don’t

Um I think even if it came into as number two Striker behind isack I I don’t think Wilson at the moment uh is anywhere near being I starting number nine I genuinely don’t I think he’s he’s more of a um he’s more of an impact sub

Off the Bench I if I’m being openly honest with you I don’t think he is an out andout number one choice even when he’s fully fit um it’s it’s disappoint pointing for me because Callum you know Callum if fit Callum Wilson is superb he’s an excellent Striker uh I’m not

Denying that and I’m not taken um anything away from Callum Wilson at all I think he’s his goal scoring record at Newcastle is excellent but as PA’s just putting the chat there we can’t sentimentality now where we want to be as a football club doesn’t come into the

Reckoning anymore you know we can’t be sentimental to these players you know if if we want to be at the very top then we can’t we can’t be sentimental say oh you know he’s done all right you know he deserves a new contract because he’s you

Know he’s been he’s been here for so long and um he’s done all right but that doesn’t buy it for me now you know you’ve got to you’ve got to again this this word ruthless comes in you’ve got to be ruthless with your Strikers or any player for that matter now if you’re

Wanting to be an elite footballer or an elite club you have to be ruthless with your players and say right you you’ve took us as far as you can thank you very much for your service you’ve been amazing you’ll always be remembered but it’s time to move

And I think at the moment the the situation that Callum Wilson is in if I was the Hier at Newcastle I’d say right I think it’s time to cash in but that’s nothing against Callum Wilson I think he’s been remarkable for us but as I’ve just said sentimentality goes out the

Window if you’re wanting to be an elite football club like we are if we are wanting to challenge the likes of Manchester City and the liverpools of this world then we have to be ruthless with players you know we have to do that in order to become Elite uh we can’t

Keep Deadwood around and we found that out over the last five or six years at Newcastle United uh that when you give these players long-term contracts it does become a deadwood situation where they’re just floating around the squad getting paid and you know we can’t we

Can’t sell them it gets to the point where they get too old to to be in that selling bracket we’re not going to make any money back on them and they just simply run the contracts down uh now with Callum Wilson I think we’d still

Get a bit of money for him despite his injury record um you know he’s he’s still around the international scene as well but for us as a club um he’s he’s completely injury prone he really is now and we’ve seen it in previous years with with with many different Strikers or

Many different footballs that when your body starts to to shut down as callums is doing um and I don’t mean that in a sort of terrible sense I mean muscle wise you know you’re picking up GR strains hamstrings CS it’s all starting to you know go a bit wrong then you know being

At the elite level in the Premier League uh is is becoming more and more difficult for Callum Wilson now that’s not to say that he couldn’t go and represent U another Premier League team I mean do do we really want to see Callum Wilson against us no of course not

However he’s not an elite Striker and I and I don’t mean that any disrespect to Callum Wilson at all but he is not the elite Striker that Newcastle United need moving forward and maybe the time is now to to move Callum on and say thank you

Very much you’ve been amazing for us and we won’t forget what you’ve done for the club but it is time now to move on um now again it’s it’s all about being ruthless in the transfer window you know we we have to bring in players better than we’ve already got

Um now you know reporters saying this morning that that the Calvin Phillips deal is is is is now doubtful you know Fulham and Chrystal Palace have declared an interest as well uh Manchester City reportedly won 40 million pounds for him in the summer uh for you know a

Permanent deal uh so that that may be off the back burner but we’ve got to start doing something because um you know as as much as the transfer window is now open it’s going to close very very quickly and I think you know they’ll be aware of

That but will we will we sign somebody before we move Callum on that would be the obvious the obvious thing to do wouldn’t it you know you move Callum Wilson uh when you’ve got a replacement for him but whoever we brought in would have to be better than Wilson now

Whether that means going to um you know going to look at Saudi for a loan deal and then trying to replace Wilson full-time in the summer uh we could do that uh but you know it’s a difficult one because Callum is a a big favorite with the fans but again we like the

Manager has to have to be ruthless and say thank you for what you’ve done Callum uh we won’t forget it but the time is now um and of course other news this morning is that way Rooney’s been sacked by uh burningham City uh he’s had a disastrous run absolutely disastrous I

Think he’s only won two and 15 and on on your bike Sunshine uh let’s have a look what you guys are seeing um Mason says someone like petta would be perfect I feel too expensive obviously though but he’s not he’s not a striker Mason I’m talking about Strikers really um at the minute

Um James says I think gassi would be a good say in for 17 and a half million release clause in a clinical Striker uh yes James you’re right we featured him on a couple of transfer shows as well um you know st’s been through his statistics and he looks a really really

Good player and for 17 and a half million release claws I think that’s an absolute bargain but it depends where we are financially as well uh Callum says if we had a third Striker this problem wouldn’t be a thing in my opinion uh Dave says Wilson is just missing far too

Much too many injuries have built up over the years now um don’t care how talented players are if they’re injury-prone they’re useless and I I think that’s the problem isn’t it you know not being harsh on Callum but when he’s played a run of three and four games you now just

Expect you know I mean was it really a surprise to anybody yesterday when uh the lads got off the bus and Callum wasn’t there and they said oh he’s injured was it really a surprise to anybody because it wasn’t a surprise to me you just expect that now that once he’s

Played a couple of games you’re just waiting for the next injury now and you’re waiting for somebody to say oh he’s out he’s injured uh he’ll be missing for a couple of games and that couple of games turns into three four five games um so yeah it’s it’s useless

To me when you can’t put anybody on the pitch that you you can rely on Fitness wise and I know injuries are picked up all over the football in world don’t get me wrong but when you look at callum’s injury record now you think it’s it’s it’s starting to turn the wrong

Way uh Stuart says I think we uh really fought hard yesterday and put in a good defensive performance and scored a couple of goals uh I think the signs are good for beating sundland on Saturday uh Stuart I don’t think it was a good defensive performance at all um you know

I know Liverpool battered us from start to finish but you look at the goals Liverpool scored were they good goals defensively I’m not sure with the word but obviously we’ll we’ll chat about that in the uh Match review short tonight which is of course don’t forget

7:00 live on the tune review um Man United and Liverpool in the race to sign kimich um yeah he’s a good player uh sell Wilson in January and buy who just keep him well that’s the thing isn’t it I mean who you know that’s why I’m asking the question this morning you

Know who do we get in because if we bring somebody in they have to be better than Wilson or there’s no point or at least equal to Callum Wilson than what he can do when he’s fully fit but we have to do our would due uh due

Diligence on whoever we bring in because if we bring in somebody who is just going to be sitting on the bench injured what’s the point you know that that’s the whole point of what we’re talking about this morning is is is looking to replace Callum Wilson but we have to

Replace Wilson with the same or better quality and a better Fitness record because if we bring somebody in who’s had a you know a rotten Fitness record over the last couple of Seasons what is the point um I believe they are looking at Jay Adams as Southampton as he’s out

To contract in the summer and as a cheap alternative uh CH Adams for me isn’t good enough you know let’s be honest here if you’re just what I’ve said there if you’re looking to bring somebody in as good or better than Wilson is CH Adams

The answer not in a million years for me uh I think what you are saying is true to a degree but we need much more than one striker in isach who isn’t exactly 100% And His Fitness isn’t great either 100% agree with you um look it’s it’s

About time that we got serious with these injuries and we got serious with what’s going on we we obviously we’ve let that head physio um Danny Murphy go uh you know Newcastle said just give a very basic statement didn’t they when they let him go uh before the weekend

And a lot of people are saying well you know due to these injury records you listen to Sven bartman’s injury he played two further games with an done in ACL how the hell he got through them games but how the medical staff didn’t pick that up I’ll never know is that a

Rebound of letting Danny Danny Murphy go so I don’t know but things from inside need to be better things on the pitch need to be better um but what they need to do is make sure that the people that are going to come into the club during

This window they’ve done the homework on and we’re not in the same situation in two months time that we’re in now with a very very threadbear starting 11 and and not enough on the bench to come and make an impact um Callum has been great for

Us but he must be injured 40% like you said then of the other 60% he’s getting fit so he’s basically playing 30% of the time it’s not enough there you go um and that’s right you know he’s missed 40% of the games but you have to consider the

Other games where he’s coming back and getting back to full fitness and then he gets to full fitness and he breaks down again and that that for me is a massive problem for Newcastle United uh and certainly for for Eddie because he just can’t put his his eggs in the basket

With with Callum Wilson and he can’t at the moment really with isach because uh isack needs to prove he’s not fit his injuries aren’t uh you know brought a breakdown every few weeks Martin say all these injuries apparently down the senior physio at the club he’s been

Sacked for being crap is it the medical team’s fault um fto botman played with an ACL yeah just mentioned that Martin yeah you know although Newcastle will deny that that’s the fact that you know Danny Murphy’s gone the head visual but you have to look at and say well hang on

He’s been on extended you know parental leave why was that is it a family issue that he’s left the club or or is it basically because we want to bring in a new head forys because of all the Thunder crap that’s gone on in that behind the scenes uh with injuries this

Season uh way Rooney was the best blues manager in 50 years yeah you would say that being a villa fan of course you would uh thanks for M Coffee Al mod yeah please do uh like the video or like the stream sorry if you’re watching this

Don’t agree with that I think he is good enough I just think we need to find his Niche we need to find the best position for for isach um I think isak’s better playing with an out andout Striker you know playing on the left hand side or wherever just playing off the main

Striker and that’s why I’d love to have you know not just another Striker but another one backing up as well so we’ve got plenty to choose from and we’re not left in the situation that we are time and time again with either Wilson or esack or none of them fit uh because we

Made an error in in in in in the transfer window in the summer we didn’t bring in another another Striker I think that might might possibly be because Eddie thought that maybe one of the kids would would come through uh the likes of a Parkinson the Stevenson Dio um and

We’ve seen them a couple of times on the bench this season but they haven’t made any impact so um maybe Eddie’s changing his mind about that um but there there’s nothing really in any of the media stories this morning before I came on live on air uh about signings or looking

At anybody the only thing I could see was uh Calvin Phillips Poss going to to to fulmore Crystal Palace now instead of Newcastle um certainly you know Phillips is going to have options uh but whether we bring it in bring him in I don’t know

Uh Daniel says yes have to get rid he’s made of jelly two games in four um not good enough uh we need to buy gassi from stard gassi is getting mentioned a lot uh from us fans certainly in the chat this morning as well but there ain’t

Anything in the media linking him with us again he was linked to um possibly the last window or last summer I know we’ve we’ve definitely done him on a a transfer show but he’s not linked at the minute um but 17 and a half million quid release Clause it you know that’s a

Bargain guys for somebody of gass’s talent um just play shaa the mackam slay at the weekend I’m sure he would play if he was asked uh is it not the medical staff just needing rebuilding there has to be questions asked uh with the player crisis at the club so many players

Breaking down uh I agree with that to Asser C degree yes we need a full overhaul of whatever’s going on at the club um if that’s behind the scenes then yes do the overhaul but you also have to look at Callum himself uh he had a couple of really nasty injuries when he

Was at Bournemouth before he even moved to Newcastle uh and then since he’s been at Newcastle he really has been injury PR there’s no doubt about that and you know it’s getting worse it’s not getting any better it’s getting worse and that’s why I’ve asked the question this morning is

It time to cash in on him while we maybe can still get a bit of money for him him um but he is a big favorite with Eddie how and you know that’s why we keep questioning about Eddie how and his Lo the players where he has to be ruthless

And we you know we need to see that from the manager as well uh have to agree Paul same reason we sold ASM yeah look if we’re going to sell esm for being injury prawn then Wilson for me um again I don’t want to talk negatively about

Callum Wilson because he’s been his goal scoring record in New is is fabulous we’ve seen that but we’re now at a time where you know we’ve moved on now we we trying to rebuild we trying to be an elite football club winning trophies is Callum the answer up front I’m not sure

I’m not sure at all now uh Ronald says a fit Callum Wilson is a great Striker just obviously always injured who is goingon to pay big books for him I don’t think we’ll get big books for him Ronald um I think we have to we have to accept that that we’re not

Going to get you know a lot of money for Wilson but I don’t think we’re going to be short changed on him either because he’s still around the England Camp he’s still scoring goals when he’s fit so I think that that would that would appeal to

Maybe a lower Premier League team uh you know maybe a top sort of between sort of eighth and 16th I still think he does a job uh but where we want to be we have to rely on people being on the pitch and and Callum at the moment just isn’t on the pitch

Enough for me uh we cannot sell them as we need three Strikers at least yeah I mean Look whose fault is that it’s a club’s fault at the end of the day we we haven’t done uh we haven’t done the work we should have done in the

Summer by you know targeting a a striker you know we brought Lewis Hall in on loan and you think maybe should that have gone Elsewhere on bringing another striker in on loan I I I don’t know uh but these are these are the questions that will be being asked in the offices

At Newcastle United now you can’t tell me that they’re not discussing who should be coming in and who should be going out we have to let players go as well uh sentiment has to go way out the window now it’s you’ve seen it with the elite clubs sentimentality doesn’t come into it if

They make need to make a cth decision they will do it you know man city do it Fergie did it at man united for years on the Trot made the he got rid of fan favorites because he knew it was best for the club and he knew he needed to

Keep that ball rolling with players coming in and players going out to keep Manchester United as an elite side Guardiola knows how to do it you know klopp knows how to do it whatever you think of him as a manager you know as a person klopp’s management is second to

None you know the the way they keep the players taking over and I think we we have to now start looking at doing that is Eddie how ruthless enough to do that though is he ruthless enough to go into somebody like Callum Wilson who he’s worked with from many many years and see

I don’t think he’s overrated Grim I think that’s very harsh I think if you look at his actual goal scoring record it is fabulous it it really is good um but now he’s he’s older and his his his muscles are starting to tell him that he can’t play in multiple games and and

That is when we as a club we need to say right okay he can’t play these games we have to move him on and get somebody who is going to be around for uh for a few years to come uh Kenzie says fron Torres around 35 million to replace alaron atic

That in the heartbeat to be honest um uh Craig says maybe we do need a keeper now uh we do not need a keeper now after last night uh I I don’t know I don’t know I mean Deka was brilliant last night I’m not going to deny that he

Was superb uh and I’ve seen some really really harsh comments on uh duka this morning saying oh you know the shots were easy to save uh he’s still a rubbish goalkeeper I totally well I totally disagree with that I mean that that was pathetic thing to say so some

Of those reflex saves he made last night were superb and he commanded his box a lot better didn’t have a chance for the goals um so you know de brka is not a worry for me at all at all uh I think if if he’s if he’s found his form again I

Think we’re fine but that’s up for the management the deal uh John says love the show Paul makes me feel like I’m back in tune thank you very much uh ah thank you for your Super Chat St maximan has played every game this season in Saudi yet always injured at Newcastle

Got to look at the medic staff Batman’s injury a major alarm Bell I completely agree with that uh you know Max’s been fit you have to ask you know why was that the player himself you know did he have some sort of attitude where if he

Felt a little niggle he wasn’t going to play or is that the medical staff um I think we need this answering by the club I really do I think we as fans deserve to know uh what is the situation with the medical staff why has Danny Murphy

Gone what is the real reason don’t just put that after a period of extended paternity leave he’s left the club no there has to be a reason why he’s left the club and I think that I’m sure we as fans want to know and we deserve to know

That you know if the the club want to keep in touch with the fans and and and and make the fans feel part of the club then I think we do deserve to know that and you know is there a problem with the medical staff do are we looking at

Changing the whole medical facility in the background by bringing in new stuff where are they’re coming from who are we looking at you know because I think that you made a good point H with the botman situation and I think uh this is the next you know subject I wanted to move

On to after you know talking about Callum um the medical staff we’ve questioned them all season and people have questioned Eddie as well saying is it the training you know is he pushing them too hard in training is it you know is there something wrong with the surface that they’re training on because

A lot of the injuries of come in training not just in a match day situation some of them have come in training um I’m sure we’re allowed to ask questions uh but this is again something that Newcastle United haven’t really come across since the Takeover you know

This is all a bit of a new situation the injury crisis you know going through a rough patch now uh with results and things like that but I I do really think that we have to look at injuries now and and and be little more cynical you know

Instead of just saying oh injuries happen injuries happen yes of course injuries happen and yes of course there will be times where clubs go through injury crisis and things like that but at the same time you know we have to be a bit cynical and say well come on you

Know these injuries you know botman I mean I don’t know whether the club will be happy with botman admitting that he played two games with the done in ACL because that’s put him out for a longer period of time in my opinion uh you know

If I was sort of M dad or Amanda I’d be sort of thinking oh should he really have said that because it it doesn’t really put the medical staff in good stead does it but I I’m happy botman came out and said that because it gives

Us a little insight into what maybe is going on and and why uh you know ahead F your Danny Murphy left the club um Ken says I’m sure I heard gassi going African nations cup uh so when would he be available that’s a nonstarter well yeah um thank you Callum goodbye

Recruitment team it’s over to you um some people mentioning salanki some people say no we don’t want salanki um now what I want to talk about now is is Eddie how and and again I found some of his comments after the game last night a little bit worrying uh that he’s

You know we said the other day after the defeat against Forest that maybe Eddie was clutching the straws a little bit with his his comments saying you know we weren’t too far away and he did it last night again and you know I’ll go we’ll

Go over this more uh obviously in the in the review show tonight but some of the comments he made were strange saying that we you know the performance was was good and things like that I don’t understand where he’s coming from with and I don’t understand where he was

Coming from with his substitutions with 10 minutes to go with 3-2 down he puts two Defenders on the pitch little bit questioning as to why he went five at the back and and to play Wing backs when we’re getting pummeled uh I’m not sure is

Is I mean listen let me know in the comments now if if you’ve heard what Eddie had to say last night let me know in the comments now what you think because I found it a little bit strange and I find that now Eddie is is is

Starting to come up with some very bizarre quotes after games um and is that a sign that he’s he’s feeling his collar a little bit now um knowing that you know seven defeats in eight games now I think it is or eight defeats in nine whatever it

Is sundland is a huge huge game for Eddie how it’s it’s a massive game and in no way can Eddie how take any chances by playing a slightly weak inside or anything like that this is the FA Cup right I grew up on the FA Cup as I’m

Sure a lot of you did you know we remember the days where you know FA Cup final day literally everything shut down you know you watched from very early in the morning you watched the teams coming out the hotel getting on the bus you were able to experience that with the

Players so that’s what I you know the FA Cup is very very big for me and I I really want us to do well in the FA Cup I don’t want us to you know lose again our third round of fa cups over Eddie how re have been absolutely shambolic Cambridge and Sheffield

Wednesday this time we’re playing sundland it’s not just an FA Cup third round tie this this means everything to the Northeast you know it means everything to the sundland fans it means everything to the Newcastle United fans and the manager needs to know this and we need to go out there those guys

That like long staff burn Etc the jordis that are in the side and in in and around the squad they need to explain to the other guys what they’re in for on Saturday what kind of red hot atmosphere is going to be there at the stadium Elite and the intensity that they need

To show I think we all know we have a better quality of player than sundland and that’s not disrespecting sundland that’s just telling you how it is we have better players obviously however as we saw against l Town desire Notting Forest desire intensity we didn’t show up with desire
