    1. My favorite part was when Kasia Niewiadoma was almost caught by the group, and she looked over her shoulder, took a drink from her bottle, then put her head down and made everyone chase her to the top. Besides Demi Vollering's dominant ride, it was a gutsy performance. Sadly, she'll most likely get knocked off of the podium in tomorrow's TT.

    2. It's a bit like Pogi vs Jonas, AVV(Pogi) had a bit of a sub-par day, which happens to be the same day that Vollering(Jonas) had the best legs that anyone has ever had.

    3. I thought during both climbs, that avv looked like she was suffering very hard. However I thought as well, that she was faking it…
Reverse pogi like. But I was just wrong 🙁

    4. THAT'S how you get rid of a previous champ. With a definitive performance. Brilliant.
By WHY did Movistar make a move with 38km to go? Madness.
Then, DESTRUCTION on The Mountain… Superb riding. 👍❤
      M 🦘🏏😎

    5. What I really like to know is how did SDW M Reusser who was at the leading group with around 13km left and looking strong manage to finish 88 and 26min behind in 14km? yes I know she finish her job at the early stage of last mountain and probably take it easy after her last pull, but getting pass by almost everyone in such a short time while doing so well just minute before is amazing?!! did she have a mechanical?

    6. Epic battle which kind of ended how i thought it would but still an awesome final stage before the TT. Chapeau to the directors, the parcours was spot on!

    7. I feel like another mountain stage mid way in the tour would have made it more intresting for the GC contention. It seemed there was very little separating the riders up till today, with none in the GC really making a move until today. Maybe I'm wrong, have I missed something or would anyone else have liked another mountain stage?

    8. Well that was very smart from SD to save their entire team all week at cost of several stage wins, just to see most of them getting dropped in the first 3k of the first climb of the day. What an intelligent teamleader they must have when they are not nearly crashing into other cars while guiding their riders back to the front

    9. Demi Vollering DESTROYS Van Vleuten on Tourmalet — We dont know that, because – like some comments say – we saw just one (!) mountain stage. And it is no exception (for the outstanding riders), that one can win one mountain stage, but cant stand an other one (or three in row) after that. So technically speaking it is just one day ride what DV has won. — May be (I don't know that) the organisers set just one mountain stage to give (for AvV sake) other riders a change to compete. And because Tourmalet is spectacular…

    10. Kopecky was the ride of the day, if you look at the leg turnover on the Aspin, you can see Vollering was super smooth, whereas AVV was muscling the gear. AVV should have just shadowed Vollering all day and gambled more, she used way too much energy against a rider who's been fairly dominant all year. It's over for the win.

    11. I'm just going to have a whinge about your abuse of the English language. "Destroy" is permanent. If you destroy something, it no longer exists. So, unless Vollering used high explosive or something similar to vapourise Van Vleuten, what she actually did was beat her in a cycling race. Hyperbole……fair enough. But this is pervasive on Youtube, which means it is now entering speech, and it's both wrong and damaging to our language. See if you can do a little better, please.

    12. This was an epic race with the early attacks, the surprise letting go of Niewiadoma, the tactics, the look and attack, the fog and the obviously wrong timing.
One more thing to highlight: what the hell were Uttrup Ludwig and Labous doing?
Why the hell were they pulling for kms while everybody else was sitting on their wheels?
They must know they are not the best climbers & they must've known other people had more to lose -> more motivation to pull?

    13. Hey @LanterneRougeCycling as with lots of people I watched the TDF last year and got hooked by the Netflix show. Now I found your channel and I love it. One piece of content that I am looking is for an explainer of all tactics. There are plenty of videos talking about the lingo, but not how tactics work. This video with Vollering and van Vleuten was one of the many examples where tactics came in play. If you ever have the time for it I would appreciate in advance. Keep doing your great work!

    14. Very striking that the only big climbing stage just has 90km and 2 climbs. This stage profile looks like something that even I could ride in a day, and I'm not that fit. I wonder, why don't they give the women's race harder stages? Is it because they feel a stage like this is already differentiating enough in the women's race and they don't want to lose all the sprinters to time limit? Or is it just a traditional thing to make the women's races a bit less harsh than the men's races?
