Our journey from Cape Code to Martha’s Vineyard was filled with adventure. Usually, we travel a combination of roads, dedicated bike lanes, and bike paths. Regrettably, these areas lack the extensive bike lanes found in Boston. Fortunately, our electric unicycles kept pace with traffic.

Despite this, New England drivers can be impatient and sometimes aggressive. We encountered an incident where locals called the police, believing we were obstructing traffic. Remarkably, on the compact Martha’s Vineyard, the police tracked us down a few miles away!

The next morning, we found ourselves in a road rage incident, thankfully uninjured. Sadly, the same couldn’t be said for the driver, who faced consequences.

Thanks to @esk8riders620 @SlowenLow @ZILEUC @zachwheelwanderer @StardustEUC for sharing clips of our memorable trip!

    1. Unfortunately it's entirely reckless taking a foot off during a group ride. I'd be pretty upset if I was the person in front. Also, you suffered too. Hope everybody is okay and lessons learned. Added this to my EUC crash playlist now 40+ videos and counting.

    2. These can't be legal on the roads. They're not maneuverable enough to avoid collisions and can't stop fast enough. I guess Darwin will sort it out, but hopefully people riding in street legal vehicles are not involved in the mayhem.

    3. "It's an electric bike!". Good response to avoid a ticket. Stay to the side of the road when cars come up behind you along with the whole group to avoid problems. Riding through high-traffic areas taking up a whole lane is illegal. E-bikes and all PEV's are designated to the side of the road. Marty riding in the California hills on empty roads that are closed is awesome. Be safe. Riders have been killed riding in the middle of the road after falling and being run over. Check your mirror often and just like cycle groups, allow cars room to get around you. I saw riders crisscrossing the street during the ride. Cars passing the group may hit these people playing around. Great video, not good examples of proper riding like Marty's videos where the group stays together and yields to cars passing. I value my life and other riders' lives also.
