00:15:53 – South Africa lift the Webb Ellis Cup for the fourth time! | Rugby World Cup 2023 final

Well 14 players of the South African 23 took part in that 2019 final the front row of Steven kitso bong manian France malh herba continue the same Trio that started the quarter and semifinals World Player of the Year nominee Ean etth was replaced early in the second half of the semi-final he

Should be well rested he again teams up with the equally abrasive Franco moed it’s the same starting back row as 2019 CIA kis B to become just the second captain after Richie mcord with backto back World Cups 38-year-old Dwayne ban was player of the match in that final

Four years ago super fit Peter step toy often goes the distance fa Clerk and Andre po are reunited at halfback and start together for a 25th time paard is yet to miss a kick at goal at this world cup there’s 144 test caps between Damian dindy and Jesse creel in the springbot

Midfield and it’s talked about 71 split on the bench so chesin Colby will cover scrum half tonight the fullback zian vilser covers fly half ctle ader has 13 tries in 14 tests so vly Laro the only back Among The springb Replacements risk or reward we shall

See and we go high above the St of France as New Zealand finish their preparations well five of the New Zealand Match Day Squad played in the 2015 World Cup fin a vastly improved New Zealand scrum will again need to be on its metal Tonight Ethan NE grou Cody

Taylor and Tyra LX go again the one change in the starting lineup bro ralic replaces Sam white loock in the second row alongside Scott Barrett one of three Barrett brothers who make history in this final Shannon frelle scored two tries in the semi-final number eight Ari sea is on

The short list for World Player of the Year and victory tonight for Captain Sam Kane should finally take him out of the shadow of Richie mcco the Evergreen Aaron Smith plays his last and 125th test match for the All Blacks he’ll lead the hucker as usual Richie moonga will

Look to ignite this backline Jordy Barrett has been a revelation at second 58 to New Zealand longrange goal kicking option as well the former fullbacks combination with Rico Yani has been a real plus Mark TOA has broken more tackles than any player at this event the fullback Bowden Barrett scored in

The 25th final will Jordan needs one more try to break the record at a single World Cup on the bench Sam white loock could become the first player in history to win three World Cups and here’s what they’re playing for the web Ellis cup delivered by none

Other than 2007 spring bot World Cup winner Brian Habana it’s just 38 centimeters high but it means so very much and joining me on commentary this evening New Zealand rugby star Carl Tanana it’s a precious piece of silverware isn’t it oh yes it is between these two very staunch countries how ly

They have Brian Habana who will be inducted into the rugby Hall of Fame tomorrow delivering this trophy as a South African to the South Africans and may be passed it on but they’ve been Innovative in their selection South Africa this whole tournament whether it

Be a 5-3 split 6-2 or 71 on the bench the team that they have S very connected and that plays out how they front for each other every single week week the self belief to win unquestioned but to finish that Journey will be double World Cup winner Dan

Carter and Game of Thrones start Sophie Turner they walk out sideline and we can go sideline now to speak with Lise ransom for the first time yeah good evening to you rer great scenes here at stard def France there are plenty of green jerseys in the stand supporting

South Africa of course and you’re right right about this rain it has been quite heavy for the last couple of hours I don’t want to get my hopes up but it has eased off it’s just spitting at the moment so hopefully it will stay that way as you

Said it’s a Last Tango in Paris for the 2023 Rugby World Cup South Africa against New Zealand who will stand alone as the four time world champion alert to the danger is Cody Taylor back you go now that around the neck or shoulder area coming now shenon for Zelda number

Six number six drops his weight onto the leg so that is Foul Play that’s not an attempt to roll so we do have Foul Play do we agree with that agreed okay well that is just the start that the All Blacks didn’t want inside 2 and 1/2

Minutes Shannon fr El is sent to the snen and it’s on review Andre paard has the first points of the World Cup fin good tackle from Scott Barrett Mel Herber again parling on the pressure now South Africa penalty spring box you’ll find Cody but he stopped the nine getting to

The board to play it away quickly you of course you can Andre Pollard to continue his 100% kicking rate at this world cup no problem once again South Africa lead New Zealand six points to n counter up from South Africa but New Zealand can play retalic only the second time of the

Final that New Zealand have been into the springb 22 Advantage Advantage Advantage All Blacks Richie moonga gets the All Blacks on the board in the World Cup final protection there for Daman vill so we’ve seen a lot of players penalized for obstruction kick chases at this

World cup no problem there that time for South Africa here’s Dwayne band again penalty South Africa not releasing this is normally no problem for Andre PA the R st polard from long range flags are up line out time here’s another one on the New Zealand throw they go long is not straight they

Go too long and it isn’t straight either that’s another give back big tackle coming in from Sam Kane okay we seven upright makes head contact with 13 green so we do have foul blade yes we do and it’s direct head contact so from the yellow card fresh

Over his agreed and number seven it is number seven it’s another yellow card for the All Blacks and this time it’s the captain and that will go to review [Applause] again Pollard cheslin Colby decides to kick again crowd willing him to have a run will Jordan fumbles picks it up and

Hit hard by Peter step D toy who just covers so much ground for South Africa line speed there again from C kisi really putting the pressure on the All Blacks now playing with 14 under a huge pressure here in the World Cup final and there’s the penalty okay the

Yellow card has been reviewed it’s been upgraded to it’s upgraded to Red it’s a high degree of danger and there’s no mitigation disaster for New Zealand it’s a red card a high degree of danger no clear and obvious mitigation as Andre Pollard aims at post once again and it’s the

Same old story off the te with a springb fly half four minutes to go in this first half here’s Mark tillia so dangerous around the fringes inside ball to Aaron Smith lazy Runner eth Advantage New Zealand will Jordan has it offloads the ball to Mark tillia broken play

Here maanga adds three points for the All Blacks they narrow the Gap to six first ever stay red card on the World Cup final to Sam Kane again retalic competes and unfortunately Lomax can’t hold on but they will go to halim CI willing to be the second man to

With backto back World Cups Andre poad who has all 12 points for South Africa so far in this fin gets us back underway Taylor goes long to S and the thing is for Ari Sai he’s upright he’s not dipping at all that’s the concern for M for kissi CU see he’s

Sick man in in tackle tries to go down and WP Ari savier doesn’t stay down long your next angle will be better here we it’s head on head it’s not the shoulder up so is at okay he’s run from a distance his head onhe contact yes aged and this tough will see

Of kissi cuz he’s coming in with his head down to make that shot it’s that’s good the spring B Captain has been yellow carded CIA kisi will head to the sideline Taylor to retalic just dropped that is there a knock on there no says the the officials New Zealand continue with the

Ball no knock on saw South Africa get away with one in the first half it looked like a knock on perhaps that’s New Zealand’s turn to get a bit of Fortune retalic Smith to moang to Jordi Barrett changeing direction from Barrett savier out the back to Bowden

Barrett hit hard but gets the ball away to Richie moonga skips clear of D Lindy Richie Mo MOA inside Aaron [Applause] Smith Aaron [Applause] Smith see what is it’s great work for all the angles to see if he plays him in the air as well the arm the arm of number four

South Africa plays the arm beforeand let me just explain this to you yeah yeah yeah so um can you just give us a second so we can talk and then I’ll come and find you has he take him in the air before he hits the ground that’s that’s the issue

But thenard is not the ball forward so it will remain it will be a penalty for the First Defense but it can’t be a try cuz he’s not the ball forward do we agree agreed okay ay so just let me just explain okay I agree with you that he’s

Played the man in the air okay so that’s a first defense but then it’s hit your hand and gone forward so it’s a knock on so it’s no try but it will be your penalty back on the line out okay so no try but he’s played the man in the The

Mark is 12 me inside the South Africa back to the full 15 New Zealand drive this lineup Cody Taylor has it still inching forward retalic smuggles it away now that big arm of ARA snan of the spring box they’ve got an advantage the All Blacks couple of decisions going their way now

Aaron Smith to Jordy Barrett too [Applause] Yani Smith change of direction to Brody ralik still penalty Advantage changing binds Tyrell LX Advantage still there for New Zealand they’ve got a free hit here but they are playing with 14 against [Applause] 15 MOA Jordy Barrett huge pass over the

Top to Mark tiia who gets away from one and another Mark tiia Bowden Barrett Dives in for the All Blacks and New Zealand do get their try this to put New Zealand in the lead in the World Cup final interesting that New Zealand asking the referee we want to play we

Want Pace on the game there’s a couple of World Cup winning South African captains John Smith and francea of course France last these two teams played in the final 1995 will it be the same story for South [Applause] Africa to clerk again Snipes down the short out side play first that Ball’s

Gone forward New Zealand have it Jordy Barrett lobs it over to Anton Leonard Brown Leonard Brown offloads it’s gone into the hands of Jordi Barrett Advantage New Zealand it’s on the halfway line Richie moonga New Zealand Trail South Africa by a point white lock off loads to Mark tiia so dangerous Mark

Tiia so often find space in behind the rock flicks on by Yani tood and Barrett okay so I’m about to show you a deliberate knock on by 11 South [Applause] Africa well they will check this the deliberate knock on out the back door was that deliberate though everyone agre

11 another big call in this match the plot thickens in the World Cup final cheslin kby yellow carded it’ll be 14 on 14 just time time Jordy Barrett to put the All Blacks in front and he’s missed it Pollard’s in the pocket Andre poad drop goal all it got deflected

Everyone’s onside here come the All Blacks and a big hit on Jordy Barrett from Peter steu toy that’s New Zealand looking for the steel here right at the end of this test match but it’s over it’s [Applause] over the world [Applause] South Africa a backto back Rugby World Cup

Champions they stand alone with a full webis cup

    1. Some stats that have been brewing in my mind.
The Springboks have won 50% of the World Cups they have played in, while the All Blacks have won 30%.

The Springboks have won 4 World Cups, the most of any nation, with New Zealand in second place with 3.

In this World Cup the Springboks took the hardest route to the victory of any nation in history, playing all 5 other teams in the top 6 World Rugby rankings. South Africa performed with an 80% win ratio against the other top 6 sides with Ireland in second place at 66%. But SA was the only team that played all 5 of their counterparts in the top 6.

Games against top 6 teams in the world:

      South Africa – played 5, won 4

      Ireland – played 3, won 2

      New Zealand – played 3, won 1

      France – played 2, won 1
      Scotland – played 2, won 0

      England – played 1, won 0

    2. Bro this was so rigged world rugby admitted that Aaron Smith’s try should’ve counted because it was so many phases after South Africa did not deserve it NZ way better I’m from NZ btw

    3. Sack the Tmo it’s ruining rugby let the referee control the game not the Tmo they made Wayne weak and brainless. Rugby is a contact sport they now the risk of playing the game. Bring rugby back

    4. Ive heard that World rugby are arguing because they say that Aaron Smith's try really should have counted and that it's the TMO's fault for rewinding the video too far back for the advantage 😢

    5. This is always what i wanted for a RWC Final. When ABs beat Ireland i was celebrating not because i support the ABs, definitely not, never but i have wanted an All Black Springbok RWC Final ever since our debut into the tournament. And i figured the England SA match wasnt going to be easy but i was so keen to see the best of Springboks v the best of the All Blacks in the highest tournament to exist for international teams.

Although granted there were plenty of missing players from both teams. But given how far both teams had come, it is a true test of strength to see which team can either run away with the game or hold out until the final whistle. Except for 2019 every final I think has been closely fought games.

    6. I can't deny how great this team is. It has proved four times it does not lose a World Cup final. Four times!!!

I don't care where you're from. You have to admire these legends
