In this episode, I am riding to Kribi. On the way, between the towns of Loum and Yabassi – the road turns to an absolute disaster. I have never ridden such a difficult jungle track in my life! I drop my motorcycle in an unfortunate way, and the slippery mud makes it impossible to lift my bike back up on my own.

Via here, you must be courageous Melong, CAMEROON Season 7 – Eps. 70 Good morning Internet, it is 6:50 in the  morning and welcome back to the channel Welcome here to Melong, I hope you can hear me ’cause it’s really quite noisy

I am going to have a breakfast, no I am going to show you on a map what my plan is for today And then I’m going to go across the road to try and get a breakfast and then hit the road because it’ll be a long day today again

I’m now right over here in Melong and my destination for today is Kribi all the way over here right at the coast Good morning Thank you This just fits Thank you! Goodbye! Wow! Look at that mountain! It’s so high. What mountain is that? I have no clue Hello! How are you? I’m fine

Yabassi..? The road is not very good Not very good? But.. like this, or..? There is water Ah A lot of mud Ah okay Mud And inclines too Ah okay Mountain like this – Eh heh From here it’s 57 kilometers 57 kilometers From here to there, 57 kilometers and the road is not good

Okay And via Doula is.. Loum – Douala is 107 kilometers And Douala – Yabassi is 99 kilometers, it’s far Via here, you must be courageous You need someone in front of you. So you can follow a motorcycle. With a motorcycle in front it’s no problem he will show you the right road

With a motorcycle, no problem? Good luck Thank you! Ok, goodbye Okay It’s going to get tough Hello Hello ma’am Yes, this is police Uh huh Your document please Yabassi then Edea.. Kribi It’s bad, but.. the road is bad I can do it? You go to Yabassi? No, I’m going to.. *inaudible*

Go and try – Go and try, okay You go Yabassi? No Also not Yabassi is far It’s far, 55 km or.. Yes.. 55 Let’s try Goodbye Thank you Good heavens [Dutch] Okay Yeah, like this 55 km is far He’s keeping an eye on me. That’s really nice! Yeah It’s very slippery here

Hello That was the same guy again Oeh .. going sideways Wow This is a whole new level unlocked Hi! Man this is difficult You really have to walk the bike through This is mental Man, this is just absolutely crazy These guys do this every day Every day Come on Alaska

So if I keep going 10 kilometers an hour then this will take me 5 and a half hours Oopa! Morning – Morning Okay My battery was flat so I don’t know what I managed to film Oh But the guy.. he took that path to the left So I’m on my own again

Although there seem to be plenty of locals around so Oh man this is just absolutely insane These tree roots everywhere Hey! I go this way or this way? Thanks Oh Wah! So much for washing Alaska Now look at this water! People! I don’t know where to go I can’t see anything Oeh Hill climb coming up Whenever I see rocks I try to ride  over them to attempt to get rid of   some of the mud in my tires  and get some grip back This is okay

Liberia was just a piece of cake compared to this no? Now I’ve done 3 kilometers 52 to go Ah Just try to keep a good pace Hey hey How’s it going? Oh You know the locals can do it  while playing acrobat on a bag of rice So I can’t complain No complaining allowed

I have better tires than them, more power and I can’t even say that I am heavier loaded So there really are no excuses Oeh Oh, that is a rocky bottom That was unexpected Can’t see which one is better now Maybe this one Yeah Very bumpy Oh, someone got stuck there

Yeah, I think this is only for motorbikes now No! No ah Oh, that’s unfortunate.. oh Oh, I broke my windshield No (broken) mirror! I think! It’s really hard lifting right now Very difficult to lift her up now Ah Ahh Ah Huh? I don’t really speak French Aye aye aye Hi Thank you Yabassi

Aye aye aye Broke Oh, that was just really bad luck That I fell like that And now uh.. oh, my windshield’s broken Hi! Let me double check if nothing came in Nah A little bit mostly dry For the rest she seems fine, bit messy but okay Oh no, I completely lost my mirror

Ha ha. I was like, ha luckily no broken mirror I’m like something seems  to be missing in this area It came off Well, I’m not going to go back and look for it It has to be lying in that mud  pool otherwise I would have seen it

Well, I don’t know does this  count that I broke another mirror Technically not, I just lost one Hi Hi! I don’t even know what to say anymore This is now the just the new normal You know.. oeh Ah this truck can forget it Need to take a break here I’m exhausted Oeh

Good heavens [Dutch] Okay, got some water But it’s a bit disappointing ’cause this was only 7 kilometers How is that even possible? Only 7 km I asked this guy how long to Yabassi He’s like 2 and a half hours I find it hard to believe Because at the same time they say it’s very difficult

And if it’s still 50 kms then there’s no way I’m averaging 25 kms per hour So.. .. I’m thinking it will take me five more hours at least To be continued… Aye

    1. Thanks to France that has taken everything from African nations and left them with nothing even a basic rout for travelers such as Noraly. You are great woman special salute to you Noraly😊

    2. I feel the disapair 😢 I recently dropped my bike in the middle of nowhere and really struggled. I ended up dragging my bike to a slope so that the incline helped 😅

    3. Why did u use this bad road. There is a smooth tarred road from Melong to Douala. Anyways. Thanks for showing my beautiful country to the world.

    4. Noraly you're looking for your mirror again 😂 watch your video at 15:48 you pushed it off with your leg when you picked it up. I hope you won't miss him too much 🤭 broken mirrors bring good luck so keep it up

    5. "I used to complain of traffic jams, till I saw a population with no roads" (altered quote). Feel so bad for the people for they have to undergo this ordeal every single day- it's a punishment. As for IB, its women's motorcycling courage at it's peak. Always wishing for your safety and well being. You're an inspiration.

    6. who stole your roads?i would mince old tyres and use that as a thick drainable roadbase. Many countries have mountains of worn out tyres they cannot get rid off??just a daft idea might work.
