Romania was the 14th country I visited on my round the world tour. It was only a 5 day ride but I got to see the main attractions that riders all talk about… The Romanian Carpathian Mountains. The Transfagarasan and Transalpina passes are famous for their beautiful scenery and being full of corners.

On the way out I swung passed Transylvania to look for Dracula, but he wasn’t home. Instead I stayed with some lovely locals who put me up and took care of me?

In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don’t know my final destination or the duration of this journey.

Throughout my journey, I’m raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. All the money raised will go directly to helping Franek and his family lead as normal a life as possible so please donate generously: https://gogetfunding.com/arewethereyet/

    1. I have been following your video because I own a BMW F800 GS too. I like your videos but may I suggest you should include the surrounding sound more in the video rather than the background music. Sometimes the background music is too loud that I can hardly hear what you are saying. Keep up the videos coming!

    2. The dish in Timisoara looks very much like Varilo (chorba/soup) – a beef, potato, carrot, celery and some hints of tomato for the colour and flavour.

    3. Hello, I was wondering if you have a boyfriend or husband, my son was a sergeant in the army infantry, he now works selling bmw parts if you are interested, let me know, thanks Kim Chamberlin.

It's one of the most beautiful water falls in RO.
